« One night stay »

Stayed at this hotel due to running the Coventry Fun Run. Receptionist was ok, had some understanding of my needs. Room was again ok, plug in the sink was stuck shut, cap on the shower gel was still on once I came to use it. Asked for 6:30am wake up call, didn’t receive the wake up call until 7:00am. At this point I was dressed. Luckily I set alarms on my phone just incase.

Room lovely on ground floor, refurbished and very clean but bathroom a disappointent due to the rusty shower seat still the same as the last time we stayed. Staff very friendly and efficient, much nicer ambience now.

We were very happy with the standard of the room (other than a lack of drawers common to many hotel rooms). Not so happy with the standard of dinner - adequate at best. No issues with breakfast. We weren't happy at having to pay for the car park given that we were hotel guests. That could well put us off coming back.

Checked in online, which made the whole experience easier, greeted a Reception, and room was ready. Room was very clean and comfortable. My only slight disappointment was the menu choice, I'm not a strict vegetarian, but the only option on the menu was salad.

Needed to change rooms as electrics faulty in first room and lights would not stay on. Dirty towels in the bathroom were not at all welcoming.
