The hotel surprisingly is very nice with an excellent service. I got a room upgrade and is overlooking a quiet canal which is beautiful. The breakfast is the best breakfast i ever had with gorgeous view. I will definitely recommend the hotel.

« Excellent experience and property. »

Service was fantastic. Concierge made 3 reservations for dinner for us and all recommendations were great. Room was great. The only small thing was the sink in our room had rust/dirt around the drain. Other than that it was an amazing experience. The little pastries with chocolate were delicious and a welcomed treat when we got back!

« VERY BAD EXPERIENCE »

When I arrived with my group of 80 around pax, at 9 in the morning I didn't expect to get my room. I had to work, and I stayed in the lobby close to 1 hour working. During all this time, i saw all the other members of my group, arriving after me, being accompanied to their room. Finally at 10.30 I went to see the reception staff telling them that they can just give me a room of someone of my group who had not yet arrive, and give this person my room when it is ready. I was given the room 134 which is above a garbbage room or a delivery room on the street. This delivery room with a steel door was open/close below my window at 11 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM and 6 PM. As you can imagin, i couldn't sleep for the all night being oblige to listen to truck coming and people discussing in front of my room. When i said it the the staff at the reception the following morning, their attidute was useless and they couldn't care less. The person who gave me the room knew that this room 134 was so noisy that they should not usually give it to a customer, but here, they clearly did it and might have enjoyed what happen to me. As we say in french, La Classe. At close to 400e a night do you think this kind of experience is normal? I'm going to Sofitel London in June and I hope I'll have a better experience.

From the free upgrade of the room to the Valet Parking to the Reception, Spa, Location, free historical tour and Breakfast everything was wonderful. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Especially liked the package left in my car when I checked-out with Granny Smith apples, earth water and “eat healthy” bars. Sofitel is The Legend!

Had a lovely time for our 2nd wedding anniversary and were really pleased that we had the same room as requested. Champagne was a lovely touch upon our arrival to our room. Only negative really would be that when we ate at the restaurant for breakfast on the first day, we were given a bill once our food had arrived. This wouldn't have been a problem but we had payed for breakfast when we paid for the room so had to ensure with the waitress that there was not need for the bill. The waitress also did not confirm this fact nor apologise to us for the misunderstanding.
