Reception and house keeping were excellent. Breakfast service was a little slow. Ate at Bridges for lunch and was offered Champagne but not told the price.

Room space and design are outstanding. Personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. Bridges restaurant is much better than Sofitel average. Sofitel has always been a top experience for us. So we have been big fans for many years.

Great location right in the middle of city centre. Close to the red light district which is now a very safe touristy spot. great breakfast, especially the warm dishes. Good services overall . Room is clean! Two things to improve: I smell weed one time when I am back to the room, not sure if it's the cleaning lady who spoke weed in my room?! There's an Asian lady who serve me at the outdoor dining area when I arrived on Oct 7 who wasn't very friendly. It was my first day there and she gave me a bad impression. Eventually I left the restaurant without ordering . Luckily the other part of my stay is amazing so I see that is an isolated case.

I loved the building, gorgeous, labyrinthine, and in a convenient location. Service was up to expectations for a nice hotel. I had two spa appointments, a massage, and a manipedi, both of which were not great, but easy to forgive because of differences in tastes and style (though my toenail polish ended up with a bubble, which seems like a basic mistake). I had one meal at the bistro, several dishes, and they were all mediocre to the point that I lost my appetite and didn't finish. The hummus was surprisingly bad, mostly because my pita was cold, thin and stale (hard to imagine that's the chef's preference), though the hummus itself was nothing special.

Room not being ready was poor, but alternative was good. The Bridges Restaurant was not of a standard I would expect and have experienced in a Michelin Star restaurant. This was disappointing and poor value for money.

The Sofitel Grand Legend in Amsterdam defines luxury. From the gorgeous historic building, to the warm and professional staff, the chocolates and treats in the lobby, well designed rooms, ridiculously fast laundry service, breakfast offerings.....every experience was impressive.
