Our stay at the Sofitel Legend in Amsterdam was nothing short of superb! Everyone attention to our needs made it a quite unique experience. Rooms clean and well appointed. The concierge staff was the best I have encountered in fact if not for their assistance with some medical needs that arose before we left the states we would not have made the trip. In fact we had cancelled the trip and only re-booked after receiving an email from them informing me of some arrangements they made on my behalf!! A seriously gorgeous hotel, in the centre of the city and with the warmest staff I have ever interacted with! The hotel is an historical building, the entrance through a private courtyard just off the main drag immediately takes the noise and madness of central Amasterdam away. The hotel is warm and as it was New Year’s Day when I checked in, was in glorious Christmas spirit and decor. The staff at the reception, the restaurant, bar and the concierge staff were superb and very friendly. I have no doubts that I will be back here on my return to Amsterdam

From Kimberley at the front desk greeting us to departure, the service is superb. The gym and swim area our only disappointment as small for size of hotel and facilities are in need to updating. We raised city tax levied on departure as this had not been specified on booking and were refunded by agent.

Service was incredible but the bed was not great. Too firm. Additionally, I booked two hotel rooms and my second room was not ready until 5pm - well past the 2pm check in time which was unacceptable.
