In general we had a great experience at the Moorhouse- the rooms were very comfortable, tidy and nice. The bathroom was clean, the water was hot, we had enough toilet paper et al. I think one area of improvement is putting enough towels, water et al when you know two people are sharing a room. Since my sister and I were sharing a room we expected to find two towels, two glasses, two tea cups and two bottles of water - but every day we had only one of the above and had to keep asking for the additional towels et al. Secondly, our inter-com was not working so we had to keep walking to the reception to ask for stuff - of course walking is good for our health ...I think the reception should inform housekeeping that there will be two people in the room and therefore all amenities should be for two people.

« No value for money balance, definitely not worth 4 stars; outdated look and feel »

As a silver member of the accorhotels loyalty programme i booked this hotel by the name and look of it in the picture gallery. As always the professionally take pictures look better than the actual situation but i was quite astonished by this presentation; the hotel looks a lot more dark on the inside than the pictures, there is a huge mold scentand problem in the lobby. Rooms are outdated, look/feel worn and could do with a refurbish. I was in room 215 and my room door didn't even lock by itself cause it was jamming, i had to give it a good pull before leaving to make sure it was locked. Minibar was not even filled (1 bottle of orange juice), tea/coffee facilities in room are 1 coffee and 2 tea bags? Airco wasn't able to cope with the heath and the one in the bedroom made a hell of a noise so it's impossible to leave it on overnight; bathroom looked like the 60's and i didn't notice a lot of marble as stated in the room description. On top of that the halogen spots above the sick was out of it's fitting without glass protecting from touching the lamp or wires! The ceiling lamp even had melted due to a contact with a lamp that was obviously too hot. TV was impossible to watch in room as it was basicly showing a lot of snow. Staff, except lobby, seems uninterested and merely there to make a living, i thought service and friendliness would be included in a room rate averaging 230 euro per night! Pool was unusable, upon my arrival sunday late there was an event it seems which caused the pool to be covered; when i left next friday, the pool was still not usuable. It had been filled but was not filtered. I can't understand this happens in a 4 star hotel of the Accor group; specially not if it lasts over 5 days. Only positive point: the gym. It looked the most modern of the whole infrastructure although two out of 4 cardio machines were not working. One threadmill was reported out of error and the screen of the stationary bike malfunctioned and was only showing snow. I thought my previous stay in the Radisson Blue in Lagos was a disaster, but it is possible to achive worse it seems. Will not recommend nor visit this hotel again unless serious metamorphose is undergone.

I didnt find the stay pleasant as i had better access to amenities in my house than the hotel. No hot water. Very slow or no response to complaints by management. There's no motivation to stay here next time..

My first night was awful. I checked into the hotel at about 9pm. Immediately I got to my allotted room, I started noticing a myriad of problems with basic services in the room. The water from the tap was brownish; the intercoms was dead...and I was on the first floor; I had no kettle or complimentary items for tea; I had to bathing soap. Then, yes, the bed was broken. I ended up not having my shower that night. By the second day, the water had returned to normal and other services restored. But for the three days o spent I still didnt have a kettle or items for tea.

1. Ella at front desk is best concierge you have. Other ladies not friendly at all. 2. Kitchen staff look overworked and stressed. Difficulty in remembering orders. 3. Paint spraying work carried out was most insensitive to lodgers in the hotel. Smell was choking. 4. Housekeeping need to be supervised as they only relay the bed sheets. Desks are not rearranged etc. 5. Asides these nice experience room was excellent and comfortable.

I give it to you for front desk service. They are welcoming but that alone can't override overall experience. Restaurant and room service need to sit up. And opt their game.the lag time is unbearable. There is this offensive odour at the walk ways, it smells like fumigation And choking. Your pool is dirty
