« nice staff but hardware needs refurbishment »

Staff were very friendly and helpful, but the hardware were very old. Two big scary stains in the bath tub that cannot be washed away (https://www.dropbox.com/s/yp26bgoxijife1i/stain.jpg?dl=0).

« Different to our last visit »

We were surprised when exiting the gare de nord in the dark that our hotel had disappeared.When I booked the hotel some months ago there was no mention that the entrance had moved.Crossing the road to the normal entrance we eventually, a small sign pointing the way. I note that this is now on the website,however,it could have been highlighted in the e mail for registering on line. Staff at reception were polite and efficient.With hindsght we should have asked for a room on a lower floor as ,in the event of a fire we would have found it difficult to negotiate the stairs from the 6 th floor. Room 634 is small and the bed was not,as stated on the website.It was clean and had all that we required providing we kept away from the sloping ceiling to prevent bumping our heads. The room was quiet and temperature control was easy.The addition of a 13amp socket was a bonus. Breakfast was as good as it has always been.Staff are great. Fast checkout was efficient and easy. I look forward to returning to see the work complete

« just bad »

Unfortunatelly there is basicaly nothing that can be say as good. Starting with the bed (terrible matrace), bathroom (toilet not properly flashing, washbasin 30 years old), room was stinking and ultimately, seeing the breakfast quality I decided to go somewhere else.

« should have been warned the hotel was being renovated »

Stayed here a few times in the past. Mainly for location. Hotel is worn out, but nice atmosphere, good breakfast. Normally, I get an upgrade and good room. This was not the case now. Breakfast buffet was minimal, with edded service of eggs being prepared as a compensation. the room and bathroom were in extreme need of renovation. There was a smell in the room; not a nice experience.

« Great stay »

The staff were really friendly and made sure the rooms were to our liking. Location of the hotel was perfect being directly across the road from the train station, as we were catching a train the next morning. Rooms were good and comfortable had everything we needed for s short stay.

The room is old, the carpet full of stains from bleach and everything looks tired. Probably the worst experience in a chain hotel.

Located right across Paris Nord st. But you hardly see the signs because the building is on renovation. The hallway is narrow ,so you have to be careful with the baggage . The room is old and dusty. We found cockroaches in our room. And noisy too. But the location is very good and strategic

Service was good. Room had seen better days but was large. Lighting was poor. TV needs replacing. Breakfast was good and cooked breakfast was prepared to order. Checkin was smooth and helpful, Hotel is under renovation however it did not affect us.

I stay with you often, your staff is as always wonderful and very welcoming. I appreciate you are in the middle of extensive work to the hotel, and I hate complaining, but the room I stayed in was not very nice at all. (#340) the carpet is filthy and the wall paper falling off the wall. 165€ per night for a tiny, dirty room just isn't acceptable. I paid my bill because I enjoy your staff and have a great relationship with them and feel loyal to your hotel. Rooms in this condition should really be closed.

The hotel is undergoing major renovation and about half of the hotel is closed. You have to enter through a nondescript service entrance and use the only elevator available which was slow and sometimes failed to open the door when it stopped at a floor.

« Good for a short stay or day trip due to convenience of train stations »

Hotel was under renovation so the entrance was difficult to locate amongst the scaffolding and other shops. Although the room we stayed was not as we saw in the pictures, it was good enough because my friend and I were only in Paris for a day trip. However, if we were to stay for a longer period of time, the room would not have been satisfactory because it was really small. I am not sure if this is due to the renovations because my friend stayed at the same hotel previously and she mentioned that the room was much bigger. Despite this, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Two night stay on business. Room was the front of hotel. Room was very hot, with W8ndow open to the scaffolding outside, so workmen could have acces to the room. Window very difficult to close. Safe didn’t work. Drinks voucher given for platinum member ship given, no room upgrade, and no other welcome for platinum level membership. Room very noisy, lots of noise from the street, and then construction mach8nery being unloaded outside at 05.00. So the first night I had no sleep. Not good when on business. Bathroom scruffy and carpets dirty in room - old and stained. I asked to change rooms and was given a room for the second night at the back of the hotel. Much quieter, but bathrooms still scruffy and worn. Bar staff friendly. Breakfast expense At 17 Euro, so I didn’t book breakfast, but the hotel tried to charge me for 2 nights breakfast. Staff pleasant but hotel scruffy, and zero benefit for be8ng a platinmum member.
