Great, comfortable room apart from the incredibly pared down wooden cotton reels (aka stools). These make it impossible to work sensibly. Nice breakfast. Very helpful desk staff who took my case down the spiral staircase when the lift broke.

« Disastrous rooms, no lift »

Our stay was incredibly disappointing & frustrating and we were very unhappy overall and are considering making a formal complaint. We were allocated a ground floor room as my husband is blind and has a Guide dog. This room had no ventilation, no windows and no proper light coming in. I don’t understand how you as a company believe it is acceptable to put disabled guests in a windowless room with zero ventilation. We were not happy with this and requested to move. We were then told that there were no other rooms available, only after 10mins of negotiations was another room found on the 5th floor, however the lift was out of order. We carried all of our bags up 5 steep flights of stairs alone, a winding staircase - I remind you, my husband is blind - with no help from staff whatsoever. We were assured the lift would be fixed in a few hours. Got to the room to find the bed was 2 single beds pushed together which moved constantly - it was too complicated to move by this point, we had plans and we’re already late meeting friends. Plus we weren’t able to move the bags and our belongings again as we were exhausted. In the end we had the most awful night’s sleep with the beds moving, not being able to sleep properly as they were single beds not the double room I booked and it was truly a disappointment. Your disabled room is a disgrace for its lack of ventilation (the air con blasted hot air); the lift repair didn’t happen until well after we left the next day; staff on the front desk were unhelpful and frankly more interested in socialising with their friends late on Saturday night rather than helping us (but the lady on Sunday morning was brilliant, she helped us bring bags down) and the beds were terrible. Overall an overpriced room in a terrible hotel with poor service and little to recommend it. Not the standard I expect from an IBIS at all.

We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow us to express our sincerest apologies. About your dissatisfaction with the room 10, this room has been allocated to you because it is equipped to accomodate anyone with a disability. This room was built in 2017 and have a ventilation system as well as a window located at the ceiling level. The remote control at the entrance of the room allows the opening of the windows and the blinds to have fresh air and daylight. Regarding air conditioning, the lower temperatures in the morning and in the evening have unfortunately forced us to switch to heating mode to ensure the comfort of our customers. We are sorry that the solution brought, the room 52 did not bring you full satisfaction. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Do not hesitate to contact me on 01 42 09 12 28. The room that was allocated to me was as I wanted-silent, bright room. I was given a room at the 6th floor. However, the lift was not functioning properly. It was repaired every day- but it did not work on the next day. The pillows were extremely soft and there was no other choice of pillow- which directly affects the quality of sleep. Location is great. Breakfast could be improved-at least by adding some eggs.

« First disappointment after some maybe 30-50 nights spent there over the past 5 years »

I have been struck recently by the very high turnover of personnel. I used to know everybody at reception this is less and less true. At my arrival, again somebody I did not know. I was asked for an ID, which had never happened before. I poited out I had booked for 2 nights. He did not how to manage that (2 separate reservations) and asked me to talk to Frank the next day. He did not give me a receipt. I had to come down again when I realized to get it. The safe in the room did not work. Again I was told I should talk to Frank the next day. Eventually I did, but it was never repaired. Small things but when rates are at a record high, you are less willing to put up with them.

« So so... »

We spent one night in this hotel which is placed near the Gare de l'Est in the center of Paris. It is well placed and communicated, yet the railway area is not the best place for tourists. It is definitely better to avoid during the night.The hotel itself is a standard ibis Styles hotel, with a nice designer decor at the entrance. The rooms are tiny but I guess this is a standard in this type of hotels in Paris. Bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The vis-a-vis was another building's back, therefore no magnificent view. The sleeping quality was so so... better to use this hotel as a place to crash after a long night out...The breakfast service was standard, with a freshly squeezed orange juice and tasteful coffee.Overall this is a good hotel for a one night stay, not longer, in an area that is better to be avoided at night.

This hotel is in a very good location.It located just some steps from the Gare de l'Est Metro station.This is the only good thing that I can remember about this hotel.Room and service compare with price is very contrast.This hotel will be good if the price is cheap only.Hotel staff will not recognized any member from Le Club.There is no special treat from them at all.Recommend to stay when they offer cheap price only.What you can expect from this hotel is good location.

« OK, but improvements possible/needed »

Nice friendly staff, air condition unit smells awkward (maybe needs cleaning), bathroom was not perfectly clean (sticky hair at wall, some sticky stuff on shower floor), drain of wash-bowl was clogged (but immediately fixed, when I complained, so this was actually perfect service)

Stayed here of the eurostar, heading onto munich by train. Easy walk from eurostar, next door to de lest. Room 26 Found check in was easy and pleasant, good size room and clean. Area seemed safe , even though some dodgy types around. Breakfast was of high calibre, even included fresh orange juice machine. Unfortunately for 4 breakfasts, lacked variety. No toast or eggs on offer, basically bagette ham cheese creation for me every morning. The bed was not great, and the pillows like air, looked substantial but in fact crap. i stay in ibis/ styles for a quality beds, cleanliness etc and good value, so no idea why these beds not of the same standard. Only other issue i had, being a smoker, went down stairs at 4am to have a smoke, front doors locked, no one to be seen. Lucky no fire. Also took two days to fix my safe. So pleasant hotel and nice staff, just missing the mark etc

A usual guest of that hotel, and I never regret it. Monday was hot in Paris and it was nice to have an air-conditioned hotel, which at the same time does not drive the temperature to a ridiculously low level.

« 2 bad points of hospitality »

Hello, As per the status, I should have any kind of drink as welcome drink from the hotel. I were already wondering about this point and asked the reception about that but the reception guy showed face as he doesn't know about this info at all, sure he didnt refuse but the point was stopped on that face reaction. I came from long trip and as I always prefer to book at Accorhotels when I travel, I think I deserve this small point of hospitality. On another hand, I don't like to have rooms with no any kind of view. I don't ask for that awesome view, but just view says I am in Paris. Really the room window was looking at the backdoors and sewer pipes. Finally, other than that everything is very good and the place is very quite and comfortable.
