« Not my best experience this time. »

I really love the Sofitel, but this last stay was not as enjoyable.as previous stays. My room was on the 4th floor near the gym so I was hearing what sounded like construction outside of my room. When I went to iron my clothes, the retractable iron cord would not stay out. I also found it difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. Some of my colleagues experienced issues with the shower doors. That became a topic of conversation over dinner.

We loved our room and the service we received the minute we walked through the door of your hotel. Luis, that checked us in was amazing and even took our picture for us. The only disappointment was that we were charged for a bottle of wine from our room that we never consumed.

I expected more from the hotel. The room needs to be repainted. Most of the furniture and walls were scratched or dented. It just looked and felt dated.

While I was there for an examination (a horribly unpleasant experience), your staff were extremely kind, the facilities in immaculate condition, and the room was not only beautiful done but by far the nicest accommodations I have ever experienced. « They allowed having a wild party in the room next to me »

I was there for a business trip with presentation at 7AM Saturday morning and I was staying in a suite as a gold member. The room next to mine had a wild party with people yelling and screaming for hours.There were probably 30 people going in and out for hours. I spoke to the hotel management 3 times. After the 2nd call, they finally sent security which only told the party to keep it down. They still were very loud with drinking games. I called again and asked if they allow parties. After 3 hours they finally kicked them out. I wasn't rested and it was difficult to do my presentation in the morning. I asked the front desk in the morning and he said the manager will contact me with the explanation. I have not heard a word yet. I will never stay there again!

asked for sheet at 330 pm. when got back to room at 1130 pm. still wasnt there. had to call again. asked for frig in afternoon. .was brought quickly. when got back to room at 1130 pm, all inside was warm.. brought new one up only to find out that guy who brought first one put into an outlet that wasnt working. first guy didnt even check before he left room.

We were greeted by the friendliest and most professional team before we even exited our car! And it was almost 11 PM -- end of a long day and a very long drive. We continued on to check in and again were met with welcoming and very happy members of the guest services team! On to our suite -- and again at this late hour we were thrilled with the size of the suite and the kindness of our bellman. Off to the lounge for a night cap and a bite to eat -- food was excellent -- and our bar host was also incredibly friendly. Our stay was overall excellent!

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. A lot of thought was put into designing the hotel. The one problem is that it needs some updating, painting and a change of carpeting, our sofa needs to be replaced. The bed was comfortable and access to reading lights, etc. was great. A shower head to rinse off in the bathtub was a wonderful addition. Lots of places to plug in all your electronics. The rooms were big enough and laid out well. TV selection was good we could order movies to our room. Hotel bar was great... best French Onion Soup I have had in a long time and I was just recently in Montreal, Quebec. Location is perfect for enjoying the sites of the city.

Overall the hotel was very good and rooms and service were great. The one bad experience was breakfast the one day I ate in restaurant. The food was not great and not as hot as it should be and I was finished my breakfast before anyone came to offer me water or take my drink order which wasn’t good. I had to ask lady bussing a table to track me down a drink. I was very close to eating and just walking out. This was the only issue with the hotel overall.

All the issues were resolved swiftly. When I first checked in, my gold membership was not recognized in the system. So it took a little while to sort that out. Thankfully the team was able to sort it out. When I checked out I noticed a package of Almond chocolates opened and eaten on the table with a new package replaced in the minibar snack section. When I went to check out there was a charge for the minibar even though I was sure I did not eat anything. Thankfully the staff removed the charge but I left feeling that my personal space was sort of violated. The only thing I can think of is that a member of the staff at Sofitel had eaten my snacks. Maybe it was because I forgot to leave a tip on the second day?
