« Nice hotel needs a bit of sprucing up »

Beautifully cleaned room and the staff at the front desk was very nice. However the room which I spent $450 on was over used - the woodwork was quite banged up and needed upkeep. The hotel staff at the door at night also asked us to come in the side door which wasn’t covered by an overhang - and it was raining so we got wet. The turn down service was wonderful and we loved the bath supplies.

I also apologize for the challenge you had in returning to the hotel in the rain. While we lock the main entrance of the hotel after 1am to ensure the safety of our guests, we do not want anyone to be inconvenienced by this. I have asked our Guest Services Manager to ensure the team has umbrellas to offer to keep our guests dry at any time of the day. I felt the $300.00 "deposit from my credit card was excessive. It put a hold of that amount on my credit card that I might have used for other purchases in your city. I did not use any of it for room purchases. Also the room was serviced very late in the day, which was a concern for us as we could have used the bathroom supplies(body lotion) a little sooner.

Accomodations were superior. Staff was excellent. My frustration is with the HVAC system. Regardless of what temperature I set the thermostat the system would heat until room temperature was at desired level. Then the fan would continue to blow - COLD AIR. There was no off setting for the fan - only choices were lo, med hi. My solution was to warm the room and then turn off entire system until it needed to be warmed again. While sleeping I turned the sustem off for the night. And I have never had to sleep in a bed made without a top sheet. Agravating.

Great check in and check out. Storage of bags and assistance with cab was top rate. Room was not clean, with pretzels pieces found on the floor and the one bathroom sink was not cleaned. In addition the shower pressure was terrible and the shower temp was either scalding or freezing.

« Horrible rattling and howling pipes all night in the walls »

Room outdated but horrible rattling and howling pipe noise all night from walls made this one of the worst nights sleeping in a hotel I have had in a long long time. Not whatbone should need to deal with when staying at a Sofitel. Front desk did not seem to care

« Overnight stay in the city. »

I don’t usually take the time to write a review, however like experience at this hotel is worth the effort. It was our first time staying here as we were in town for an Eagles game and my experience was exceptional. From the moment we were greeted by the Valet for our car to the checkout, the customer service was remarkable. We certainly appreciate the attention and all the detail that we experienced in our brief but delightful visit to the Sofitel!
