« Disappointed in the food and delivery to room. »

Ordered room service on my first night arrived promptly and was ok. however second night an hour passed with no food so I rang to follow it up. Within minutes it arrived. Bowl was hot, food was cold and discoloured and had obviously been microwaved. Chicken Thai green curry - sauce was split and I wasn't keen to taste as I was unable to determine how long the dish had been sitting waiting for deliver to the room. Chicken can cause serious illness when left to cool and then reheated.

1. Staying for school reunion asked for twin room so my old school friend and I could share expenses. However the twin beds were pushed together and couldn't be moved because of night side tables attached to walls therefore we slept very cosily!!! 2. Early in the morning a Chinese woman who did not speak English tried several times to get in to our room ( obviously she was in the wrong place) but kept trying - waking us both up. 3. The bathroom had no fan which was needed for clearing the damp air and not enough bench space . 4. Only one chair !

« Great customer service, facilities great, rooms spacious, comfortable bedding, attentive staff »

From arrival to departure, our experience was fantastic. All staff went over and above providing us everything we needed for our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bar and bistro were buzzing and staff were attentive. Bistro didn't offer a large variety but meals were quite nice. Location was perfect for where we were attending an event. Parking was easy, very tight if you have a larger car but ample parking available.

« We were unimpressed with the room quality with the price that we paid. »

We had a very basic room that was not up to the standards of a room with such high prices. We had a used cake of soap stuck to the shower wall from previous guests. The water pressure was definitely lacking and we felt as if the room had been 'lived in' before we came in. It made for an uncomfortable stay. Not to mention the terrible parking options. We were sad that we were underwhelmed by the experience and thought we were at the Ibis Budget.

« Ibis Olympic Park needs an update »

Ibis Olympic Park is getting very dated (at least on the 5th floor) and really needs a good update. The carpets in the public areas are becoming "tatty", the beds in our room were unstable, there was evidence of water leakage, and despite requesting a tax invoice for the accommodation element of our pre-paid room on check-in we we told this was not possible. Our stay was also marred by having approx one kilogram of cherries stolen from the 5Kg box we left with the hotel for refrigerated safe-keeping because our room refrigerator was too small to accommodate the box.

« A wise option after the Schools Spectacular. »

Reception, security and breakfast staff were all polite, extremely helpful, well groomed, quietly spoken. I commend them all especially Miguel who dealt with my car parking most efficiently. Bed linen was crisp and fresh, the room was clean, well lit and everything worked well. The corridor carpet needs replacing or a good shampoo to clean up a number of old stains. Breakfast was excellent, the scrambled egg perfect. Thank you
