Tired closer to a 3 star Ibis rather then a 4 star Novatel- no work done on this hotel since the Sydney Olympics - this is an inditement on the brand and the licensee not investing in the brand what a pity - rooms tired bathrooms not clean or not able to be cleaned. Dangerous very dangerous shower in bath - breakfast food less then impressive, bread supermarket bread rather then homemade or bread from a good bakery

This is the second time I have used the IBIS/Novotel experience and stayed with IBIS previously and decided to try Novotel this time. It was very disappointing to be charged twice the rate for Car Parking at Novotel ($40 per night) compared to IBIS ($20 per night) and was unaware there was a different rate between the 2 Hotels. Twice the rate is very poor in my view and should be the same rate as the Car Park is exactly the same location.

Firstly I couldn’t get into the car park as the gate to enter was stuck down and consistently pressing the intercom for ten minutes there was no answer . So I couldn’t go forward and I couldn’t go backwards because of cars also behind me. The hotel is a bit run down and dirty. It needs a renovation.

Was a very windy day and night but trying to sleep was a nightmare my bedroom window either can’t shut probably or seal broken because I was cold (even had heater on) and the noise was terrible kept me up never have I had a night there like that before

Staff were great however we had to be moved out of our room (1232) because the heating was not working. The next room also had no functional heating (1631) and after another call to reception we were given a portable heater to use. We received a complimentary bottle of wine which was well received however the fact the rooms had no heating was a problem which made about 2 hours of the night uncomfortable to say the least.

The only negatives were the lack of an a-la-carte dinner option and the staff/goods lift outside our door. That's nit picking though, the rest of the stay, the rooms, the bed, the facilities, the staff, were all great.

It was good, for the most part. I knew that we had to get there early to get a parking space, which was convenient for us, fortunately. We would have appreciated advice that we should have booked, to access the buffet dinner in the restaurant.

1. Too noisy from other room. People who stayed in 14th floor were arguing, yelling and crying for more than 1 hour after 11pm on Saturday night. Couldn't sleep. 2. The staffs of the restaurant for breakfast buffet were not professional and kind. The female staff who met me at the front of restaurant didn't give good impression. I didn't feel welcome at all. Before I had breakfast and started a day, I already felt bad. 3. I was in the room during the most of Saturday, your staff knocked door and came in the middle of the room to check mini bar. Was it necessary to do that??? Really??? In the middle of my staying?? It was not check-out day. I was lying on the bed and embarrassed. I didn't want to be bothered by anyone while I stayed in the room. That's why I asked your staff to clean our room first as soon as I had breakfast. The cleaning staff was excellent!!! She did a great job. I didn't need to wait for a long outside. 4. Late check out is very good, but staff didn't explain of charging extra if we check out after 12. Anyway we checked out before 12, so it was not issued, but it would be great if your staff explained better.

Experience was great, staff friendly and helpful. When checked in was offered late check out for the next day for free which was a great added bonus so we weren’t required to rush in the morning.
