« A Nice Stay »

Our Stay with your Hotel was very nice. The staff at welcome desk was extremely helpful. The staff and Food at Gourmet Bar was excellent. If i come back to Zurich in near future i will stay in your hotel due to the Gourmet Bar. It was really a wonderful memory due to the staff and Food at the Bar.

« It was OK and not great as expected per Novotel brand »

My expectation was higher but the experience was not that great. The main concern was about the kids bed that was not at all good for sleeping. The mattress was looking to be quite old (more than 5 years old) and all the springs in the mattress could be felt. When complained, the manager at night has agreed that the bed is not good and has put extra douvet & mentioned to change the room next day but there was no communication next day. When I called reception and reminded about room change, reception said he will check and get back but there was no comm at all. I stayed for 3 nights and had same mattress.

« If you arrive late you are screwed »

I just arrived today. Second time here this week. Mitel has meetings with Swisscom constantly. and the hotel is well situated for both Swisscom and Mitel. I had meetings all day in Berlin, and hen you arrive late, the bar and rooms service menu is horrific. All I could get was a tuna Pizza and some sandwiches. Being in a relative remote area, I expect the hotel to have much better service. Yes I can go to www.eat,ch as recommended and try to figure out myself...+40 min delivery....but really that i all the help you provide. I ended up eating nuts from the bar for late night dinner. Next time I will try a different hotel. This is not OK. Anders F.

Rooms are too hot. A/c needs to do a better job. Some of my stays at Novotel were with a group. I was upset that I did not get my loyality points with these stats.

The Rooms are functional and well equipped. Great to have the Kids in the Room for free! Personel at the Restaurant was not to motivated and overwhelmed at almost every breakfast. Really great was the breakfast Birthday sourprise for my wife, after I asked for it.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and the hotel was great. Lovely rooms, a nice airy clean and inviting reception and the breakfast was very good too. Never had dinner though so not sure what evening food is like but I am sure its good. Would definitely stay again.

« Standard hotel but below usual Novotel standards »

The size of the rooms are normal compared to other Novotel hotels - so it easily fits a family with 2 kids in it. But the location is great, located close to train and tram stations - also the river is very close e.g. for running exercises. Parking in the garage is 29 CHF per night. When we arrived we got a wrong room assigned just with a bed for 2 people - but the cleaning staff on that floor reacted very quickly and found another room for us and informed the reception about that immediately. A great feature for travellers from the EU: there is phone provided by the hotel in the room which can be taken out of the hotel. It provides unlimited free data usage outside as well as gfree phone calls to Switzerland and other selected countries also for free. A little drawback is the unusal size and format of the pool - it fits some people in it but you cannot really take a swim in there. As chaotic I would describe the breakfast and the staff working there. The room does not fit at all for all the people staying at the hotel. Also it takes a while to get things refilled so you have to make requests all the time when something is missing. Also cleanliness is poor in that room - the staff even puts things I would declare as trash back into the buffet e.g. for cereals.

« conveniently next-door to the eBay office. Friendly staff, well-appointed facilities, fast Internet »

I love the breakfast buffet and am thrilled almost all "full English" courses are now included. The internet speed and reliability are fantastic. This stay was my fifth time I stayed at this hotel in Zurich. I am saddened by the departure of the German staff who were there in 2012 - 2016. When I checked in the first time I was assigned to an occupied room. I had to go to reception to get a different room.

« Poor service, poor product »

On arrival, despite having checked in online through my Club Accor account, my booking was not associated to my account. As a gold member I consequently missed out on the gold benefits. I was surprised to find out by email the next morning that I had just joined Club Accor as a basic member. This has issues both of service and data privacy - I did not sign up to the Club a second time. The room was not to the standard of an international business hotel. Standard global adaptors did not work in the sockets. The airconditioning did not work - I only below heat out all night, despite being set to 19 degrees (even with windows open it didn't cool down). The next morning when I let reception know how surprised i was to be welcomed to the Club as a basic member, this was immediately fixed and I was given my welcome drink voucher. I was however told I could not use it for a drink I'd had the previous evening. As I was checking out after a one-night stay this was a bit of a waste of paper. The single positive element of my stay was the room service. It was prompt and service was good.
