« Great location in a typical Ibis hotel »

The location was great and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was average. The room was a basic Ibis room, predictable, clean, satisfactory. I was disappointed that the room was too hot and there was no way to lower the room temperature (this was in winter -- even turning off the heat did not lower the temperature very much). I have stayed at this hotel many times because I really like the location.

« Almost perfect »

The guest service was welcoming, check-in and -out were quick and smooth. Surprisingly, the window in the room wasn’t locked, but there’s no use of it anyway as it’s out to the side of Gare de l’Est’s railways. By the way, the location is really convenient - close to railway and metro stations, a pleasant leisurely walk from main sights of Paris. Breakfast isn’t so gourmet but is a good value for money.

We have stayed at this Ibis several times before. On this occasion we barely slept as the room was far too hot. Nothing we could do with the AC improved it.

I have stayed in an Ibis in Cambridge, UK which was a wonderful experience and prompted me to book this hotel. There was damp in the room and the bathroom had heap linoleum which was coming up at the edges. The grouting for the tiles wasn’t clean and there were a few hairs in the bath. The sink was also stained. Furniture appeared to be either very old or second hand. I felt like I was staying in a hostel.

The air conditioning wasn't working the receptionist gave us a hint how to operate that it didn't work. Then gave us a small heater that it didn't work either.

« Had a lovely stay. Friendly reception stuff and great breakfast. »

Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast service was more than we expected. We had everything and much more we could ask for. We were very satisfied with the hotel overall. The only issue we had was cleaners knocking on our door for room service even though we left a "Do Not Disturb" sign outside our door. So each morning we were woken by loud knocks on the door. Other than that we would definitely recommend staying at your hotel and hopefully get to stay there again.

« Minimalistic, needs renovation »

After the quick check-in (very good service quality), I found myself in a very small room with only basic service and equipment. The air condition was not working, the room was overheated and only the window could be used for temperature regulation. The room was OK but a bit worn out. After a short night (early train) I found a minimalistic breakfast (no eggs, no fruits, no service, but freshly squeezed orange juice). Checkout was smooth. In relation to Paris prices, the stay was OK, but in general the hotel left a mixed taste. Very convenient, though, if you need to be near the Gare de l'Est.

- rooms are old with damage to walls and ceiling, - old carpet in rooms and corridors, - over heated rooms! "airco" was only blowing hot air even when set to 5degré C! - the breakfast was poor! no decent cereals/muesli...only cornflakes! please! - One positive aspect: the STAFF at the reception was really helpful and friendly.

Good location just 10-15 minutes walk from Gar du nord. Reception staffs are friendly and helpful. Anyway bed room is ok , clean but pretty too warm and rest room is not so clean , especially on floor and basin , it may not be used any brush or cleaning liquid to clean them . and last one We stayed 3 nights but hotel maid just clean our room only after 1st night but didn’t clean room up after 2nd night.

As others have said, the hotel is pretty run down and not worth the money we payed 150€No basic amenities provided such as toothpaste, brush, kettle and tea in room (although they do have a drink machine at the foyer so not too bad). The carpet, shower, bed sheet and walls in our room seems pretty dirty. The breakfast was disappointing with below average varieties. Only the fresh orange juice machine was the highlight. I'd recommend people to avoid eating too much of the hotel breakfast and go outside to try proper French breakfast food.
