« Clean linen but needs much renovation & overall cleaning »

We've been to other Budget Ibis but this one was quite unsatisfacotry. The overall look of the hotel was old. The outside entry sidewalk was broken. No "handicap" button to open the doors. An unpleasant smell greats you as you enter. The reception area not so inviting. Inside doors are dirty everywhere, carpets need refreshing. In our bedroom the sink and linen were clean, other items generally ok. Dusting/cleaning in corners & under the bed needs more attention. The shower head was leaking. the base of the shower stall was broken. Breakfast was less than basic. We would definitively not return to this Ibis.

« Really a disappointment »

I stayed at ibis hotels, ibis budget hotels and ibis style hotel. I do not compare ibis and ibis budget, and I know there is difference in price and facility, but This hotel was really the worst experience that I get among the all other my ibis budget experiences. There was nobody when I arrived, and automatic system requested my credit card number, and I did not entered any number especially for this reservation, and reservation code did not worked, I waited a little bit outside (it was cold) then two gys came and advised me to go next hotel(fortunately there was an ibis hotel next to it) then reception of ibis hotel solved my problem. But the air conditioning was not working. There was nobody in the hotel to solve this technical problem. The room (nr028) was really cold all through the night. And the isolation in between the rooms (wall isolation) was really weak and I could not sleep neary 70% of the night. Breakfast was not like I got at my previous ibis budget stays, I cannot say that breakfast was too bad, but it was "some kind of" below average expectation. This time ibis disappointed me too much, because I making an evaluation which is based on the price that they requested for that facility. Price/Performance ratio for this ibis budget hotel was really below the acceptable limit, in my opinion.

Very disappointed the room was adequate but not well serviced. Only one quarter toilet roll in room with no spare. Went for and evening meal at the adjacent sister Ibis hotel. Drinks were a rip off gin was €5.80 (not too bad) but the small bottle of tonic was charged at €3.90. Had fillet mignon chorizo for our main course. Portions were very small and not particularly tasty. Not up to the usual standard of Ibis hotels in France.

Unexceptional. The ensuite bathroom did not have a door, only a curtain and the toilet was so small, it was necessary to keep opening the door to use. We arrived at the hotel late in the evening with just an hour before going to bed and left after eight hours sleep. If we had wanted to use the room for longer, then it would not have been acceptable. I was irritated by the delay at check-in because there was delay in finding my reservation on the computer system despite my having a print out of the email confirming the reservation which had my reservation code number. I have had this problem at other Accor hotels and I have concluded it is quicker to check-in at the machine outside the hotel than talk to reception staff.

we had booked-in already and filled in our time until 23.00. we arrived 10.15. at the moment when we stood before the entrance, he closed the gate. I could jumb just in time and was inside., but my wife outside with the car, separated. i walked to the entrance of the hotel, but nobody was there. iI screamed and knocked but no manager, ( his name is Diop). after 10 minutes in the darkness separated from my wife (we are 75 and 74 years old) came from outside the gate a quest, car, and opened the gate. i took quickly. my car and drove in.. still no Diop. we thought that we have to sleep in our car. But, when the quest opened the door of the hotel, Diop came out of his privet room and starts to scream and insulted us. A very bad behavior with no reason. we stayed calm and polite. finally he brought our paper with the code. Could enter our room. Butter after short time a lady entered our room, because she had the same code. a mistake again. So we are not happy, because we treaded very brutal. so we have to complaine. I paid for this room by credit card At 8 september 2018 €38.08, but today I receaved an other bill 42,75. on my credicard.(29/9). I payed for two nights now. this is totally wrong. the first booking was ( 28/9 - 29/9) I cancelled this date, to 27/9-28/9. I expected you to compensate and pay back € 42,75.. i am staying for 4 weeks in Calpe , and I want to take two hotels on my way back home. You understand, that we were very stressed.

The hotel has obviously very poor maintenance. The access doors to the stairs were quite dirty and need a new paint job. The room was extremely hot with window closed. The air conditioning unit inside was off, with large marks of rust and certainly old age. A board at the bottom of the shower was half off and dirty. Was not any way to avoid to the water coming on the floor taking a shower. The only good point was the amability of the employees.

Room was clean and basic but I knew that. Breakfast was just about okay but no eggs not even boiled ones. Air con was weak and set on a timer meaning the room was too hot to sleep in comfortably. I could live with a poor breakfast but air con problems in August is not acceptable.

Check-in (at the Ibis) fine, room fine, bed comfortable. Being woken (after a 12 drive the day before) by someone entering the room at 9am, then rewoken by a knock at the door at 10am - both despite the 'do not disturb' sign being on the door - unacceptable. You advertise check-out as noon. HONOUR THIS. Really unimpressed, which is a shame as I like the Ibis Budget brand.

Reception closed, I had to go to next ibis for check in. No wifi Internet in all hotel. Cleanlines far from desired. Even for 1 night stay is this place for 40 euros too low end. Positive: big parking, there were even a camion parked. quiet location

Exactly as I'd expect from an Ibis Budget; clean (lovely cleaner), welcoming (lovely reception staff), warm (took a while to warm up the room) and basic. Protected parking at the rear, easy access to the city, but also to the motorway for easy drives around the area. And the restaurant at the neighbouring Ibis was really well run and presented.
