The location is excellent, short walk to metro, peaceful neighbourhood. The hotel is 2stars quality but great for cases when you only use it for sleep. I only wish there were more on offer for breakfast (such as ham and cheese) and that staff knew English a bit better.

The room condition was not as mentioned during the booking, the bathroom is leaking water outside which makes whole room so wet, no basic eminities like iron box, dryer etc...

This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel. First time I came with my friends and was extremely surprised with level of service provided. This time was special as I was going with my Mrs so I preferred to stay in the same hotel as staff was really friendly. Breakfast always fresh in the morning. Level of cleanliness just awsome. Reception staff specially Akhtar was really helpful and he not only guided us but also helped us in ordering food over the phone as we were struggling to communicate in French. Overall very happy.

The hotel had problems to find my payment

The hotel had some problems to find my reservation and payment. They insisted the payment was not completed even I showing the receipts.. After some time, they saw the problem and found my payment. I think they could work better to avoid situations like that.

It is an Ibis budget hotel well situated, in Vanves , a very quiet zone which is a suburby of Paris but in fact is a sort of district of the city as the metro , the buses mke no difference It is Paris zone The room was clean and full of light, the bad was very confortable , the breakfast is as in the other budget hotels. I choosed this hotel because i had things to do in Vanves but in the future if i would visit Paris I would for sure stay at Ibis Portes des Vanves as long as near hotel the bus 58 goes directely to Chatelet

The room was fine, the service was good (while a bit overwhelmed at times), but my room was very far from the elevator, and right next to what seemed to be police, and then later hotel staff(?), Also, by the time I had arrived the restaurant was closed, but the bar was open. However, the bar ran out of most of their dishes, and so I was treated to a reheated frozen pizza.

Management have decided to turn off Air conditioning. So you either suffer stifling heat or train and traffic noise. Missing towels, unmade beds and Gallic shrugs when mentioning anything to the staff.

The room was fine - very clean and comfortable. The staff seemed pleasant. However, the stay was ruined by a problem with payment. My company books travel through an approved agency, who gave the hotel a set of credit card details to use for the rooms I had reserved. We received confirmation that this was all ok and accepted by email. On arrival the receptionist (who spoke barely a few words of English) said we couldn't use that method of payment but wouldn't explain why. She said we had to pay on a different card, but the machine wouldn't accept my manager's card, so I had to pay over £1000 on my personal debit card with no advance notice. It will take some time to claim it back via expenses. This was extremely inconvenient for me, and caused unnecessary stress for everyone in the group. The hotel shouldn't have accepted our agent's payment details if it was not willing to use them.
