« Staying on the Périphérique in Paris »

Initially I was rather reluctant to stay at this hotel due to its location on the Périphérique, but was pleasantly surprised to find how quiet it was and how close to nice streets with plenty of shops and a metro station only four blocks away. The rooms were rather basic but I did like the modular toilets which allow 3 guests to use them simultaneously (we were only two). Breakfast was not brilliant, but self-service means you can have as much as you wish. Overall, a straightforward hotel which I recommend for people who want to be on the go all day and want a place to sleep and get ready for the next day only.

« Uncomfortable »

I booked a standard bed with bunk bed 1 month in advance. The day I arrived at the room were fully booked so they put me and my b. in a twin single. The gave me cot after I refused to pay the 50€ fees since it was not my fault I was in such room. I could not sleep the whole night because my b. hated the cot since there was no bed inside the cot even after using the single bed duvet. My b. and i managed to slept at 10am then they woke us up for cleaning time at 10:45am. The next day they changed us room for what I booked for but it was too late because I was leaving a day after in a morning. At night in the new room, they put me, there was no hot water so i had to get dress again then dress my b. leave to complain downstairs. The water came back 20mins after and it was 21:00. i was and still very upset because I could not do what I went for paris since I was extremely tired due to the lack of sleeping. I hate complaint especially in hotel as the staff may see you as nagging.

The bathrooms are TINY. The toilet is in a really small separate room that looks like an airplane toilet, the sink is outside the toilet room, in the bedroom itself - so you have no way of washing your hands at night without disturbing the person you’re sharing a room with. There is no individual AC for rooms, it’s jusu the main building’s AC, and you can’t adjust the temperature controls (even though there was a small AC unit in our room, with buttons - it made us think it was broken). The staff (for the most part) was not helpful at all - we asked 5 staff members for help at different times, and only 2 of them were helpful. We had asked for directions, or when we thought the AC was broken, and to ask to print something. Only two of the staff members were helpful - one was incredibly rude, and the other 2 gave us directions, which when we checked google maps, were not correct. This place is very far out of the city, and depending on where you want to go, the metro isn’t even conveniently close.

« Poor service and comfort. Felt insecure »

Very bad experience. We waited a long time to receive our room. At 6 in the morning g we got woken up by a pepperspray attack in front of our room. Nobody warned us and we had to run downstairs with our eyes all red and the throat full of that spray. No one to apologize for the inconvenient, no blanket given as we were waiting outside in our pyjama. Very bad experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Excellent service , polite staff and very helpful security. Breakfast was sufficient and our rooms were very clean and tidy. The hotel is good for visiting the centre of Paris, just a short metro ride to the main attractions.

« Not a single night of peaceful sleep »

Room had a stinking cigarette smell even though it was a non smoking room. We had a group of kids staying in the rooms adjacent to us and above us. Kids were yelling from windows, in the corridors, banging doors and creating a ruckus till late in the night! Since this was a non air-conditioning room we had to keep the window open for ventilation and the kids in the room next to us were smoking away to glory and all the smoke coming into our rooms!

The hotel is localized near a very typical area of North Paris, Le marché aux puces de Saint-Ouen. You catch easily bus or metro to enter Paris. Room had the needed basic comfort, was clean. Minus is the noice in the hall after 22:00 and early in the morning. But good price quality balance.

The bed was quite good but the breakfast was too small and without any fruits. It’s ok to stay there just for the nights but it’s not a place to stay at at daytime. The area around it is quite unsafe.

room was small and compact, which was expected but he service was not at par with other IBIS hotels where i did stay earlier many times. The reception was not at all welcoming and not even fely any professionalism. the neighbourhood was not friendly and it was bit scary toi walk alone in the evenings.not felt safe at times. breaskfast okay for money. room was clean. i wouldnt reecommend fro familier but okay for individuals/friends/singles

The room was comfortable and as expected. However, we had the following problems. The sink was clogged, the electricity outlets stopped working and almost at midnight I had to go to reception to ask for help. The toilet was smelly and I felt like it wasn't a 100% clean. The employees at the reception were unfriendly.

« There was not hot water in the room!!!! »

The check in was ok, i took the room and found out there was not hot water at all in my room. I signaled it to the desk but nothing happened. Finally i took a shower with cold water. I paid the room but didn't sleep in it. Nobody told me sorry or offer a compensation. Instead the desk turned it as a joke. Ibis is not the same it used to be.

Hotel rooms are clean and confy enough. Rooms have sufficient stuff for one night stay. The stuff at reception was OK. Wi-fi was working for on my iPhone, but not on my friends Android phones - you should consider fixing that for foreign guests.
