« At least you know what you're getting with Ibis Budget »

Nice comfortable room in a decent location and for a reasonable price. I saw other similarly priced rooms in Paris that looked from the photos as if they hadn't been updated since the 70's. Because Ibis is pretty much standardised across all of their hotels, you know you are going to get a basic but functional room. Most of the time spent there we'd be asleep, so that's all we needed.

The room was in the 5th floor and it seemed like the worked they were doing was just next door. Couldn't properly rest because of the loud and early noises coming from the hotel. The reception person wasn't nice after I asked him to use the toilet of the cafeteria after my check-out claiming that he didn't have any password for the doors. I felt like I was treated as a customer at all.

The staff did not greet us at all. The rooms heater would not turn off and the shower head would not stay in the holder. It fell on my wife’s head multiple times. It the water did not heat up nearly warm enough either.

« Disruptive Refurbishment, Mitigated by Helpful Team »

This was not our first stay here - the hotel is now showing its age via poorly performing window coverings and saggy, uncomfortable mattresses. As a result it is currently undergoing refurbishment which (i) we only found out about via a notice on the desk at check-in, and which (ii) resulted in one extremely noisy morning of drilling (at 0845, which was *before* the claimed noisy work window of 0930-1630). On the positive side, the polite and efficient staff took care to listen to our concerns, and managed the situation well by changing our room twice without quibble, due to refurbishment noise and a faulty curtain respectively. So full marks to the staff. We would consider staying here again, at which time hopefully the refurbishment will have been completed.

« Not good access and some small details missed. »

For me, the location was the lowest point. Far from metro, and kind a weird neighborhood that don't make you fell safe. So, to avoid this we start to spend more money with taxis and uber. Other small things make our experience not that good as not having a bathroom carpet, and the support shower was broken (after a complain was fixed with glue, not changed for a new one. For sure will broken again.). As a low budge hotel, the experience was not that fair. Probably some airbnb are better choose.

Not worth the value of money I have paid, I would pay the same amount for a 5 start hotel in any other European country. The staff is NOT FRIENDLY at all, the room was very small and I.didn't like having the water tab in the room instead of being on the WC. The location is in a very bad and dirty area. Not recommend at all.

Hotel was booked months ahead of time, for some reason booking was cancelled at 8.30 am on our day of arrival. Got another room for required time and paid. On room inspection found room dirty, floor dirty, smell of smoke. Decided to cancel found another hotel for similar cost. Went down to cancel and was told have to pay for the night which I was prepared to do. Was then told I would have to apply online for a refund of the balance. Need to supply all these docs and information you don’t carry while traveling. What a huge disappointment, would never consider this hotel chain again
