« Very clean and quiet hotel, very friendly staff »

Hotel easy to reach, close to the motorway, but very quiet. Safe parking place. Very helpfull and friendly staff. Nice hotel with very clean and cosy room and nice shower and toilet compartment. Perfect bed. Excellent breakfast with fruits, different sorts of bread, cheese, jam, honey, a.s.o. Close tot the town center of Lille and ideal for a stopover for a journey to Paris or Bruges.

we stayed at the hotel on the way back from visiting family in Belgium. We took the opportunity to visit Ypres. The booking in at reception was good and receptionist was very helpful. Nice clean room and a good breakfast

Bad value for money. Check-out time was indicated on the booking confirmation as being 12.00 but was actually at 11.00 ! Impossible to have a room on the ground floor when with a dog. Wasn't mentioned beforehand.

Everything went wrong ever since I checked in. They had only two rooms left, and in the first the door would not properly close. I arrived after a ten hour journey and was exhausted and had to go up and down the stairs two times to try and change my room. The noise was unbareable. Everytime somebody would walk in and out of their rooms they would wake me up. They also seemed to love speaking loudly on the corridors and you could hear everything. The bed was impossible to sleep In, the bedding was shredded, the towels were dirty and the heating was not working. The window was not closing properly. The breakfast was stale and the coffee/tea undrinkable. The hotel smelled like mold and dust.

I always look for a Budget Ibis when travelling across France as I know what I am going to get - good value, no frills accommodation. This was the case at Ronchin with the stay made more memorable by the over and above service from the staff. My wife and I had gone for an early morning walk leaving our non French speaking children in their rooms. The staff knocked on their door and told them that breakfast was closing shortly - we had pre-ordered for three of the five guests. Unfortunately my wife and I returned 30 mins after breakfast had closed (our fault entirely) but the staff still let us in and prepared fresh breads for us. They even offered us some croissants for the two who had not ordered. All of this was done with cheerful smiles and no indication of the interruption we must have been causing to their daily routines. We will definitely stay here again. One area which should be mentioned is that there are no lifts and so access to the other levels is via a rather narrow staircase.

BOOKED IN. THE YOUNG MAN STAFFING THE COUNTER SAW ME BRING IN A SUITCASE AND CARRIED IT UP THE STAIRS WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING HIM. HE ALSO DID IT FOR OUR 2ND SUITCASE. MUCH APPRECIATED. ONLY ARRIVING IN FRANCE THAT DAY WE HAD NO EURO COINS SO COULDN'T USE THE VENDING MACHINES. THE LADY AT THE COUNTER CHANGED NOTES FOR COINS, LIFESAVER. THE POWERPOINT AT THE TABLE IN OUR ROOM DIDN'T WORK. THE TV SHUT OFF EVERY 5 MIN. WIFI STOPPED WORKING AT 2200HRS

Hotel easy to find and well located for the autoroute. A pleasant welcome and the room was everything you expect of an ibis budget hotel. Would happily book again.

« Problem with one room »

We checked in very late. One print out of codes was for a room already occupied. The machine had printed the previous check in rather than ours. One of our allocated rooms was not clean. Old towels and bedding - as it was nearly 2:00am we simply slept in it anyway!
