« A rather run down hotel that needs some improvement »

There was a strong smell of dope in the corridoor to our bedroom.....and the hotel generally needed some attention.

I have always been very happy with Accor Hotels however this one was the exception. The room was dirty, very small and old. I arrived at 10pm and had to try to work out how to get into my room using a kiosk whilst a number of unseemly young men hung around trying to get the code. I felt very unsafe and would never stay here again

As expected - room clean and simple. Comfortable bed, all the basics well thought-about - including plug sockets, hangers, full-length mirror, a window that opens, great shower. Check-in process was confusing. I checked in on-line, but that didn't seem to make any difference. On arrival at the hotel still had to check in again to get access code, and was asked to insert a credit card and the room charge was deducted a second time. There was no option on the machine if you had already checked in and paid online. Still trying to sort out the double payment.

The hotel is, what it says it is, budget. It is not grand, has the minimum of facilities and is clearly run with very careful attention to costs. But the bed was comfortable, the place was generally clean and I got a good night's sleep. I accessed the Wi-Fi in seconds and it was pretty quick. The location of the hotel in Rambouillet is a bit off the beaten track from the town, although it is readily accessible from the N10. Since I was only stopping to break a long car journey that was OK.

« A satisfactory overnight stop in a rather run down and tired budget hotel »

Although the hotel was by no means full, we were surprised that when we asked for extra pillows only one, not two was available. Generally the hotel and room looked in need of an upgrade. The lino floor in the toilet was no longer stuck properly to the base of the walls. Mattress also very thin

the entry by driveway to the hotel was a little tricky at night also I didnt find an elevator, which sould have helped. the room was very clean and overall all was good .

« Worst Ibis budget I've visited »

We have used Ibis budget hotels for many years as we travel through France. This was the worst we have stayed in. Rooms dirty, beds sheets not clean, staff disinterested and unhelpful. Hotel hard to find with no signage. Hotels needs to be refurbished and staff retrained. They are letting down the brand and company.

« Disappointing »

After an amazing stay at Ibis Styles in Clermont-Ferrand for the same price, this was a disappointing end to a holiday, the customer service was surly, the room was sufficient, but every door squeaked, the mattresses were wafer thin and slightly mouldy, I'd have not seen this if the beds were already made... Breakfast was underwellming.

I wanted to stay at a normal Ibis hotel and I wrongly booked Ibis budget. Using Ibis for several level of hotels doesn't make sense and is very confusing.

Very unpersonal reception. No interest at all. Hot room. Airco not working. Three persons, third bed not made ready. Only two towels. Showering soap empty. Leaking shower. Mold in the shower. For crying out loud... Breakfast. Old Bread, no plates!! So we ate from the serving platter. Bad coffee. Host ate the cake available himself and was more involved in his telephone then his clients. In comparison with out earlier experiences iT was most disappointing!! Do something About iT. Because Today you lost Some customers.

We booked and paid in advance in the UK. On arrival at hotel during manual check in our bank card wasn't recognised. We pressed intercom and the man on the other end was very unhelpful and didn't want to help in any way and suggested we find another hotel!!!! It was 10:45pm! Luckily an employee happened to be starting work and checked us in herself. If it wasn't for her we would have been stranded! Not happy with intercom guy. He really wasn't interested in our plight. 0/10 for his customer service!

This review isn't only based on our stay in the hotel, but also on the service received from the Accor customer service support. Once we booked the hotel I wanted to call them to ask if it would be possible to get a babybed in one of the rooms for our 2 year old daughter. However I was not able to reach their number as both my girlfriend's and my mobile subscription weren't allowed to call it. One of the service provides play a message indicating our subscription didn't allow calling these type of numbers, I am guessing because you get charged once connected. Hence I submitted requests to Accor customer services via the website asking for the same as above and see if they could help us contacting the hotel. First request was sent on Tuesday for a reservation on Saturday. When submitting the request it was stated that I would be contacted within 48 hours. In the confirmation email received it was stated that I would be contacted ASAP. It's already strange that Accor mentions 2 different service level, but in any case I wasn't contacted at all. I submitted a second request on Friday and after the stay on Monday. We're 1,5 weeks later and still no reply. Needless to say I am very dissatisfied with the service received or better NOT received. Coming back to the hotel, obviously the receptionist wasn't aware of our request for a babybed and had already given the only one they had to another family just the day before. When getting into the room there was a flyer on the bed referring to 'destination qualité' referring to impeccable cleanliness and the fact that the chamber was verified. Well .... when you find a long hair in the middle of your duvet, another long one under the mattress of the bunkbed, several shorter ones on top of the mattress of the bunkbed and in the toilet, you have failed I my book. I understand this is a budget hotel, but hygiene is key no matter what. On top both rooms we booked smelled like being smoker rooms in the past, where they tried to hide the smell using an air-freshener. To end on a positive note. The location of the hotel is ok, not too far away from the center of Rambouillet, which is pretty nice btw, and having a couple of restaurants nearby.

Room had a distinct smell of past smoking. Aswell as via the connecting doors we had a stong smell of smoking from the adjacent room. This was most disturbing.

Some Features were qute good for a comfort Hotel (calm rooms, breakfast ok), but the beds are far too hard. That's not ok for any hotel, regardless of the Price range.
