Made the booking, than I received a cancellation email from the Hotel. I decided to change hotel and than as it turns out, they did without my authorisation a new booking and charged my PayPal account. I never used the hotel and they charged me 33 euros. First and last time I book in this hotel. Luckily I am getting the assistance of PayPal and the Police. DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL.

« Basic ,but that was all we needed. »

had trouble getting into our room the door handle wouldn't turn ,we found someone to help us ,he gave the door a hefty push and voila! the door opened.there was no problem after that.We were surprised there were no towels ,but for one night we managed .I would stay again ir the need arose and would be more prepared . The room was clean and the beds were comfortable . Regards

« Unclear towel policy »

When booking we saw something about buying a towel. It was not made clear that towels were no longer provided. We could have easily brought towels from home. I don't want or need to buy extra towels. So, for us arriving late and leaving early meant we had no easy means to wash. It was horrible. You need to make the new 'No towels provided' policy very clear so your customers are prepared. Also, as has been said on Trip Advisor, you need to decide whether you are a hotel or a hostel: You need to make it utterly clear that people should either bring their own or buy a cheap and nasty tea-towel (3 Euros). Is it really be short-sighted cost cutting (while paying lip service to "the environment")? Otherwise the room and facilities were clean and as described.

« Got the Wrong Room, Despite promiss to get an Trippel Room »

Hotel was easy to find (GPS), The Parking was Open so no problem to enter and Park. We got there late so we used our reservation number to get in, every thing worked as planed. We got to the Room, but it was just a Duo Room and not a Tripel room with an extra bed. Every thing worked, (TV,WIFI) There where hot Water in the Shower, but out of soap. Eventualy we fall asleep but it was not very good sleep. In the morning we got a good cheap breakfast, But kids should just pay half , since the dont eat much. The lady working there, was very eager/fast to take breakfast away. F1 hotel is a nice cheap way to get rest while driving long trips/vacation. so we will come back T

« Better than expected for a 1 * »

We stayed in this hotel last week because we arrived at 1am and we were going to visit Compiegne imperial Castle. The WC and shower is not in the room but room was proper, clean and contained the necessary. Didn't expect luxury when I chose a F1 but it was good. We were unlucky that our neighbors (114) were young and doing party until very late and smoking.

« I was offered opportunity to check in in advance, but I didn't receive any information after doing so, apart from an email mentioning deduction of €10 from my bank account - for what? »

I'll start with a positive and say that it was very quiet, no noisy doors, children running around as sometimes happens. After inviting me to arrange checking in in advance which I did, I then didn't receive any details (room number, code for entering hotel) despite emailing the hotel directly. The only email I received mentioned something about €10 being debited from my bank account, which I don't understand and assume that this isn't the case. We'd already paid for the room in advance so didn't owe any money. The toilet/shower cubicle were not clean. The only towels available were hand towels, not suitable for showering and there was no soap in the room. Despite all this, because of the location we will probably be booking in again next weekend en route to Paris - is a handy stop over. If we weren't trying to save some money we wouldn't bother staying in an F1 again. I know they are cheap and you get what you pay for, but standards have dropped quite considerably. I will remember to bring my own towels and soap next time! (And maybe some bleach for the toilet as clearly it's not used by the cleaner, if one is employed).

Hard to find,the reception seemed to think we hadn't reserved a room without even checking our reservation number or my name! When she did bother to check,she found our reservation instantly. But the room was as expected ,functional,and clean. What more can one expect for 24 euro's?

A good stay, clean room and good service. Would be nice to have a sink in the toilet as you have to walk to your room touching doors etc with unclean hands to wash in sink in room.

Have stayed at quite a few F1's. This was one of the better ones. Good car park. We have a large van and sometimes the parking is so pokey, we can't fit in. Hotel clean enough. All good :)

« Friendly, budget hotel with masses of shops nearby »

I have stayed at F1 Compiegne before - it is in a very convenient location for me as I travel to/from Dieppe (I stay with friends near Aix les Bains.) The receptionis is friendly and efficient and her English is excellent. The room was very clean and no cigarette odour (some older F1s still seem to allow smoking in the rooms.)
