Great cheap overnight stop for 6 people

All the things you need do a quick overnight stop for 6 people as cheap as possible. The WiFi and phone charge points on each bed were great.

This place is a dump. Location is unsuitable. Being refurbished but old worn out fittings being refitted onto newly painted walls - very shabby. "#makemyownbed"? The person who devised/implemented this needs to be fired! When guests arrive they are tired and just want to get to bed without the hassle of making up their bed. Where will you go next with this? Would you like some oxygen in the air in your room? That will be €5 please! I know that you are at the "basic" end of the market and I have been using you for years but this is worse than anything even Ryanair would try. My last ever stay at F1. I have another booking which I am going to cancel as a result of this experience. Regards, Mervyn.

On arrival at 11pm my sister and I could not gain entry and had to call the emergency button several times before we were helped. The reason for this was because there was nothing to tell you to touch the screen to activate the entry procedure. There was only a direction telling you to enter your credit card which of course did not work because the entry procedure was not activated. The place smelt of smoke and the stairway was dirty. It was difficult to access our twin room which also smelt of smoke. The room was like a cell and was cold so I had to sleep with extra clothes and my coat on my bed. The only positive - the sheets were clean.

checking and booking were good. Place stinks of smoke. Everywhere, stating at the area in front of reception through to the room and the toilets. Sheets were clean but every thing else very smelly even the bed and pillows.. People in room across corridor where noisy till about 4am, even when asked to be quiet. Room was baking hot when we entered, heater was turned up to maximum, took quite a while to cool down with window open, even then residual heat in walls kept it too hot to use upper bunk

It’s as I remembered from my first stay in 2007. Nothing special, but very much value for money. The bed is a bit harsh, but still comfortable enough for a night or two. I think the hotel is not too far from a refresh though... and the internet was a bit slow on the upload speed.

Very smelly room smelt of cigarettes.

I first stayed at this hotel nearly twenty years ago. Sadly, the hotel now looks like it has not be maintained very well since then. Problems included no towels in the room; only one of the four showers had its hot-air blower working and that shower's light was broken; the room smelled of tobacco. However, both the room and bed were very clean.

Rooms and bedding stank of cigarette smoke. Had to pay €3 for a towel so I decided not to shower because of this. The only redeeming factor was the breakfast, it wasn't anything special (bread, jam, butter etc) but felt satiated afterwards.

Lovely girl on front desk who was very helpful. Unfortunately room was grubby and smelt of cigarette smoke. Mattresses yuck. Bedding was clean but all surfaces were grubby.
