I needed somewhere cheap and cheerful for a quick overnight stay. Once again Hotel F1 provided the answer and while it is certainly the bare basics the bed is comfortable and the shower is good.

I booked 6 rooms at Hotel F1 Le Havre GFGDDNMG on 27/07/2018 for one night, 3 rooms were on the third floor 302,303 and 304. The whole of the third floor were disturbed by the noise and commotion coming from the occupants of room 301 and nothing was done to stop this. It was so bad that our family members in room 302 had to sleep in their van. Can you please check this complaint as the whole experience spoilt the stay for us all, and please look into some sort of compensation in the form of a refund. Regards the s. family.

« Impossible to find or get in to! »

Hotel not easy to find and when we did find it we couldn’t get in! Phone number did not work and pedestrian access blocked by a bolt in the floor so ended up asking advice from Campanile staff next door! We ended up waiting for another guest to gain access with car and followed on foot. Staff member polite enough but not really interested in the issues raised. No towels except for on sale. Whole place stank of smoke despite being a smoke-free establishment? Very noisy. Cheap though.

I know I didn’t pay that much, but: it smells and to be hounest: it should be cleaner. The shared toilets for instance are more like those on a festival. You can’t even wash your hands after a toilet visit!

The place was a wreck and showed years of complete neglect. The showers were nasty and obviously hadn't been cleaned for a good stretch of time. A hairpin remained undisturbed on the floor our whole stay as proof. The cleaning system in the toilets had been disactivated and the state of cleanliness pathetic. No towels, which is not my usual experience in FormuleF1. The chains on the window and door had been ripped out despite a warning from the management that declined responsibility in case of theft if the chain had not been pulled. After our disappointing stay we checked for commentaries on Facebook. For more than a year similar complaints have flooded in making one wonder about your concern for "improvements".......

Receptionist was talking to people outside when I arrived and paid no attention to my arrival. I was left 5 minutes waiting despite standing near the reception desk, and then receptionist only came to desk because an existing customer came to the desk, then ignored me an walked away again. Receptionist struggled to find my online check in and payment details. No toilet roll in 2 out of the 3 toilets on my floor both in the evening when I arrived and the following morning. Room was clean and hotel was quiet so remainder of stay was fine.

« The smell was terrible. »

I've stayed in many F1 hotels and this was my worst experience yet. The parking was terrible. The parking lot was full of large trucks that took most of the spaces. Our floor was supposed to be non-smoking but the stench was terrible from other floors and people smoking at their windows. The hotel was full of truckers who were drunk, smoking, loud, and playing loud music with the door open well past midnight. There was what looked like urine stains on the wall of our room.

Have stayed here before. Toilets are beginning to show signs of age. Room was clean and bed comfortable. WIFI reception was somewhat intermittent. Breakfast excellent as always.

It was not bad but disappointed as we were not aware that the toilet and bathroom were seperate.every time we had to use them we needed to go in the corridor and use the common toilet for everyone. Not even a sink and soap to wash hands. No towels The staffs were not too welcoming as they were always on their mobile phone. Lack of food for the breakfast compare to other hotels I have been. The food needed to be taken by hands all the time as the don’t have any tong even to take hot bread from the toaster. Unsafe for kids even adults. Unhygienic. Very noisy place Too hot for a winter Smelly Otherwise it was clean

The staff was very friendly, but the hotel itself was outdated. The polyester showers and toilets were stained and worn down, yet clean. The rooms were fine but worn down. There was a unpleasant smell in the hallway and the room, a combination of food and cigarettes.

I was not expecting a lot at the price as this was literally a stop over on our long drive. I did expect the hotel to be clean though. The room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke and although the sheets were clean, the bedding smelled of smoke and it felt like we slept in an ashtray. The walls are really thin and the hotel was full of truckers who continuously banged the doors to the toilets, blew their noses, snored, etc. In short, we got no sleep and felt dirty and miserable in the morning. Once again, I did not expect luxury but at this day and age, non-smoking rooms/floors should be guaranteed in any hotel, no matter the star count. I will not be staying at this brand again and definitely pay a little more even for a simple stop-off.

Check in didn't work. The room smelt so strongly of cigarette smoke. You could hear everything in other rooms - even the guy snoring upstairs!!

« Rome is full of smocking smile & not allocate correctly »

I have book room 1 week before & paid 100% online but when we arrived at hotel they do not have available room type as per booking ! One strong issue , the allocated room is full of smocking smile & we ask for change & get very strange feedback “ open the window ”

Straight forward on arrival. Rooms clean and ready. Beds not massively comfortable but ok. Breakfast was is imply but tasty.

Not very good I'm afraid. I didn't stay at the hotel because having arrived at around 7.30 pm on Wednesday the 14th my room was double booked - I opened the door to the room I'd booked and had confirmed online to discover a man taking a shower! Afterwards, back in the hotel lobby I stood for about 10 minutes whilst the person on reception and the other occupant argued about who's room it was. Realising that my best option was to continue my journey rather than standing and witnessing an embarrassing scene, I left with a determination not to book an F1 hotel online ever again.
