« Don't expect anything and you won't be dissatisfied »

The reviews for this hotel were clear: it's old, facilities are poor and only the very basic service is offered. That's exactly what it is. I stayed here for just 7 hours to catch an early flight and it was better than staying on an airport bench. Then again, it was not expensive (33 Eur), even for me staying alone. Splitting the room price among 2-3 people makes it unbeatable. + bed was comfortable (very important) + check-in was fast and uncomplicated + price, especially when sharing a room - toilets not clean, locks and light not working properly (didn't try the shower) - walking path to the airport poorly indicated - you're in France, expect to be speaking French ? don't know about the breakfast All-in-all, ok for a short stay when luxury is no requirement. I'd recommend the hotel to pay more attention to the bathroom facilities, that's really a bit on the edge. Otherwise, in line with the price.

« Bad experience »

I made the reservation a week before arrival. After electonic check in the promised SMS with entry codes did not arrive. At reception there was no one at 7:40 PM and no sign who to call for assistance. No towels in the room. very poor lighting in the room.

« Dirty - Loud - Unsafe - Dodgy guests »

I sometimes stay in Formule 1 hotels when what I just need is a bed as these hotels usually offer comfortable beds in a clean environment. This one doesn't. Do not stay there! First when we arrived there was a smell and smoke of BBQ done in the car park or something like that (it could even be on the roof, I wouldn’t be surprised!). It looks like a few people live in this hotel for more than a few days so they kind of "own" the place. We were given a room where the "code" (=the lock) didn’t work...so we would have to call the receptionist every time we need to leave the room (eg for toilets or shower) so she could lock after us and re-open when we are back... we didn't agree with this so were downgraded to a room with 2 single beds instead of a large double bed (but hey ho we could lock the door, can't complain, can we?) The room was very basic and fairly clean (apart from snot on the wall). No towels or soap in the room. We were on the ground floor so we had a view on the car park - very dirty by the way. It was very hot and we could not open the window wide as everybody could get in the room from the car park - and with the type of clientele you do not want to take the risk. Our room was in the middle of the corridor with an emergency exit at the end - people living here ("the locals" see comment above) decided it was easier for them to leave it open so they could smoke in the corridor and wee from the door too. We decided to have a shower anyway (without towel) - quite dirty shower which is unusual for F1 hotels as usually they have an automatic cleaning system. When we left the cubicle there were 3 locals having a chat just outside the toilet door, which was not too bad for me (I'm a man) but could be very intimidating for women on their own (it is what my wide said anyway!). We finally went to bed and despite the noise from the locals and the extreme heat in a non-ventilated room managed to fall asleep...until we were woken up by a local being sick from his room window and pretty loudly too. We left the hotel at 5am to catch a morning flight and had to walk to the airport - about 15 minutes in a dark street and then on a highway with no pedestrian paths. Despite claiming being "on the airport" this hotel is not. Bottom line: do what you want but I would not recommend staying in this hotel at all! I will contact Accor management as I want a refund. Ok it is only €35 a night but still a waste of money. The worst hotel I ever stayed in, it is a delicate cocktail of everything: dirty, loud, unsafe and with dodgy guests!

« Very hot an not very clean »

The hotel was very hot with no A/C, so we had to keep the window open as the outside was much cooler than the inside. There were some stains and hairs in the blankets. One of the bed headboards was broken so it was not possible to sit on the bed watching TV. One shower was continuously running, there was mould in most showers.

Good, arrived at 10pm, no receptionist, phone at reception broken, but no note that it was, asked some guests what to do and rang outside bell, brief moment of panic that I may not be able to contact reception

« The quality of the building was extremely low »

I have used the hotel several times in the past years and this time the conditions were really bad. Toilety without lock, no towels. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, but also there no knives and forks.

« No A/C and room not clean nor well maintained »

It wasn't clear to me when I booked that the room did not have air conditioning. If I would have known that I would have selected an IBIS hotel. The room was not well maintained - for example the heating unit was broken off wall and placed under the wash basin. I last stayed at the same hotel around 8 years ago and I left with a positive impression regarding price/value. I guess that at that time the hotel was still quite new and it was not during the summer. This visit was completely different and I think that I will not ever book another room with Formula 1. On the positive side, I did think that the person at the desk handled his job well even though it must be a very difficult work given the condition of the hotel.

« Hotel is a disgrace »

We needed a hotel close to the airport as we had an early flight. This purpose was fulfilled but you can hardly refer to this place as a hotel - it is a disgrace: - rooms hot, smelly and dirty and a big hole in the ceiling of one of the rooms. - toilets and showers dirty - no towels provided (we booked two months in advance and they started looking for towels after we reported that there weren't any - then they noticed that they ran out). - we were charged for breakfast even though we didn't book it as it was clear that we had to leave for our plane at 5:20 am. I visited this place about three years ago and it was OK but now it is no longer recommendable.I also visited other F1 Hotels and this is not the standard. It is a pity because it is well located. Accor should definitely do something about it to save their image. I am not inclined to try again soon.

« Dirty toilets. »

The toilets were dirty. Beds were clean but smelled like cigarettes (in non-smoking rooms). The smell in the rooms + hallway was terrible. We won't come back.

« Unsafe, neglected hotel »

The car park gate was broken or held open so the car parking was not secure. The staff on the check in desk were not in any kind of uniform so it was impossible to tell who was or wasn't working for the hotel. I was given a room code that didn't work so I returned to the desk, the solution was that I would be let into the room with a master code and if I need the toilet or a shower I could find a member of staff to let me back into the room. I'm not sure how this would've worked in the early hours. The deadlock on the door was broken so I couldn't secure myself in the room. The room was clean and perfectly satisfactory but I didn't stay because the hotel felt unsafe. I appreciate the F1 is a budget choice but guests should be able to feel safe in their room and be able to use the toilet etc. without having to ask for a member of staff to let them back in. I checked in to another hotel in the local area. I will be applying for a refund through customer services.

« The receptionist was excellent and very helpful. »

The toilet was not very clean but I realise this is difficult to control. A better sign in French, German and English would be helpful, explaining what to do if the Reception is temporarily closed.

« I stayed there because I could walk to airport (no shuttle offered), but very disappointed with quality of an unlock-able room. »

The very worst thing was that room could not be locked, because the code pad outside the room did not work. Therefore going to the toilet was impossible. Luckily the room was on the ground floor so I could urinate out the window. It was one of the worst rooms I've ever stayed in. Concern about the security meant I kept the window locked all night. The only positive was it's closeness to the airport. I saw no one when I left at 5am. I NEVER saw a toilet or bathroom. My only communication with staff was at 11pm when the man showed me to my unlock-able room. He apologised for the broken key pad, realising that the room could not be locked to go to the bathroom. The whole experience made me feel uneasy, because why was the lock broken? Had someone broken in? Why was it not repaired?

Hotel was exactly what I expected, nothing more or less, but the lady at the reception (probably her name is Maria) was most helpful and friendly.

« Hotel is a stinky, grim little dive »

Room smelt extremely bad, and it was impossible to leave the window open due to the noise outside - in particular a regular siren noise! Toilets weren't clean, and showers stank - clearly some of the guests had been using the showers to urinate as the toilets were so unpleasant
