A security guard is present all night to ensure calm and security on the parking too. All very good, apart from the very intense perfume used in the materials to sanitise the room - we both reacted quite badly to this and needed to have the window wide open all night.

The stay was fine once we could get in to the hotel! The automatic check in machine was not working and it took us awhile before we could get hold of anyone. Not very pleasant on an extremely cold evening.

Our welcome was excellent and the room totally satisfactory. Our only negative was some other female guests laughing and chattering at about 2.30 to 3.00 am who woke us up and annoyed us.

« A place to lay my head »

Used F1 on previous occasions so I knew what to expect - Basic - clean room, clean comfy bed, free wifi and a cheap enough buffet breakfast to set you on your way. The usual shared toilet/showering facilities - kept clean. 1st time at Englos, situated right next to a retail park you have a variety of shops/eateries to browse, reception when I arrived was manned by a pleasant enough chap ... but I wish I hadn't experienced the night man ... surly and no idea of customer relations.

Booking experience fine - although no text message received with room number and access code as we were arriving after reception would be closed . Room ok. Breakfast at weekend advertised as 7.30 - no sign of breakfast at all at 7.40 - needed onward travel so had to leave without breakfast that we had paid for - no staff available - reception still in complete darkness : (

Showers cold , no soap dispenser in shower and water flow was minimal. Man at reception was very non welcoming and surly). By far this is the worst F1 hotel we have experienced.

As usual the hotel was very busy, but as usual it was very clean and welcoming. the only problem was finding the hotel on the commercial centre area as there where no signs for it. better signage would really help.

« Not as good as normal »

Room was clean & comfortable and the welcome and service provided by the staff member was excellent. However, we tried three different shower rooms before we found one where the water temperature was warm enough to be comfortable showering - in the first two shower rooms, the water temperature continuously varied between luke-warm and cold even though the control was turned up to maximum. The only other problem was having loud noise in the early hours of the morning keeping us awake - doors banging and loud conversation from some other guests.

Exceptionally quiet and well run hotel. The reception immediately spotted my wife was on a stick and suggested a ground floor room. There are some minor maintenance issues with the facilities: Missing hook in the shower and a noisy ball valve but overall the stay was of a standard we feel is weel within the price charged. I would have felt more secure if the compound gate had been working but all in all a plesant stay
