« Good to stop by to sleep on the road trip. »

Easy to find the hotel, kind staff, reception opened 24h, good warm shower, comfortable bed, quiet (not a lot of guests), good wifi signal, sink in the room. Toilets a bit dirty, cigarrette smoke smell (even at the no smokers wing), hot room but we opened the window and it refreshed it a bit, it seemed like someone threw up at night just outside the main door and we saw it in the morning when leaving (a bit disgusting...).

Me and my partner were looking for a nice hotel in the edges of the highway. We found the F1 online and being familiar with accord hotels we decided to stay there. To our suprise the hotel didn’t look at all like the pictures it was filthy and the worst part as soon as I touched the bed I started to get red spots all over my body then went to the reception and found no one there.

I forgot the time difference after traveling to France and so was late for breakfast. When I asked the staff on reception happily re opened just for me. Good staff make all the difference.

Comfortable bed and a reasonable breakfast for the price. However the room is designed so that it’s impossible to use anything electrical thereby saving on electricity - there is one socket available beside the sink that is so tightly placed in the corner it was not possible to insert the moulded plug of my CPAP breathing machine. The advertising for the hotel should state this as it is a health risk for people with sleep apnoea not to use their CPAP breathing machine.

« Disgusting, smokey, dirty room »

The room was absolutely vile. It stank of smoke and decay and every item of bedding was permeated with it, even though it said smoking was banned. The duvets were covered in rips and tears and the pillows were like resting your head on an ashtray. There were yellow stains on the sheets and mattresses. For a three person bedroom, there were only 2 pillows. The heater was stuck on high and impossible to turn down - in fact, we had to have the window open all night which faced a huge, busy road. The shared bathrooms (there were quite a few) were at best okay, at worst vile and covered in urine and tissue. We were absolutely disgusted at the quality of the room for the 40€ we paid. I would never return and insist that anyone reading this think twice. It was in a convenient location to get on the road to the slopes, but the praise ends there. As we only got 3 hours sleep and left feeling dirty and exhausted, I think I would rather sleep in my car next time.

I didn't receive the room and door code until I checked in at reception even though I had checked in on line. Room really smelt of smoke too, don't think I specified 'non smoking, however I didn't see there was an option to choose a non smoking room either.

« Have been to Formule 1 many times - this time quite good with minor disappointments »

« Easy to book and check in but noisy well after 22.00 hours »

Booking and check in easy. Friendly staff but very noisy at night and no enforcement of quiet after 10.00 pm. This time had group of men talking really loudly at reception for at least 30 mins well after midnight. Stay at Chambéry and Troyes every year at least twice and same noise problem. Also non smoking rooms quite often smell of smoke.

Both of the rooms and bedding smelled strongly of cigarettes. Children running up and down the corridors until midnight. We wanted a refreshing nights sleep after a long journey and did not get it.

This is a clean F1 but you need to bring your own towels and soap for the rooms as none are provided. It is well placed for restaurants and supermarkets as well as the main cycle path into Chambéry and down to the lake.

I was unpleasant : - a dirty room, the floor was not clean. - 6 mosquitoes full of blood of former occupants - a very bad smell in toilets : it has not correctly been cleaned, the problem was quite old
