« Not worth »

The room had a strong cigarette smell. No towels are offered, you have to buy them. Toilets were very smelly and both genders use the same room what my wife and daughters disliked, shower was OK. The rooms itself was OK, but during the hot months you have to leave the window open and then all sounds and smoke from people in front of the hotel come in. Breakfast is good, parking as well. We were caught by surprise that there wasn't a bathroom in the room since F1 hotels in Brazil had one. And last but not least, in the Geneve area, the Premier Class hotels are a better option, with bathrooms.

« suitable for a short stay »

I didn't really expected too much, after all, I got what I paid for. Anyway, I think the room was pretty hot and didn't feel safe by opening the window to make me feel comfortable, because it was an one store building, whose window is located at the street level, somehow easily accessible by anyone, despite the security lash. I also noticed the sink was somewhat dirty and seemed worn out. At least the bed was comfy and the shared facilites such as toilette and shower were clean enough. Other than that, my stay was ok. Bear in mind, there's no staff 24 Hours in the reception and I had to use the phone to make clear I was standing and waiting to check-in, however, this was not an issue and only to let people know in advance. One last thing: forget it, if you take a bus from Geneva Airport to get there. You will have to walk approximately 2,3 km on the road to get there and there's no walkway, making this a little bit dangerous and inconvenient , whether you carry on large bags..

« Worst hotel experience in my life »

I spent a night in F1 hotel south of France about 20 year ago and remembering that reasonable experience I booked without investigate the F1 close to Geneve (CH) Airport. That was my biggest mistake. The F1 Geneve Airport is extremely bad, the very small room (and that's ok considering the price) without AC was like a sauna, the guests range from pronstitutes to family with all nite long crying infant (that's normal as infant doesn't like a sauna). The building really needs a complete renovation and I was so sorry with my two kids to be such a bad dad forcing them to sleep in that hotel. This is my last experience in an F1 hotel and I think that it is not acceptable to have that kind of hotel in a location close to the border line between CH and F.

« Smelly »

This was very cheap. So we can hardly complain. But it smelt revolting, the building is tired, carpets stained, paintwork peeling. Cheap and nasty

« homeless shelter  »

I had booked a couple of nights with HotelF1 starting on the 25th/July. I'm moving temporarily to Geneva and had a few apartments scheduled to visit so I thought I could stay for a couple of nights with HotelF1 before finding a long term accommodation. I booked through the accor website which I have used for many years to book hotels of all categories across many destinations. Before moving to the HotelF1 I spent 2 nights at the Ibis Budget Petit-Lancy. I understand the standard of the hotels may vary but overall the guest is right to expect a minimum standard that the Accor brand should hold to. I expected a simple yet clean and safe accommodation at the HotelF1, but once I arrived I was very surprised. The building was surrounded by a few groups of people cooking from fire made on the ground, others using camping stoves, some people clearly drunk and loud, all inside the hotel's premises. After I checked in I found a poorly maintained building with cracks on every wall, strong smell and really poor hygiene on the toilets and showers and non functioning wifi. I tried speaking to the front desk but the staff had left for the day and communicated me by phone that any requests or complaints to be addressed on the next day. Given the conditions of the property and the chaotic environment which sharply contrasted my idea of accommodation for a good night of rest, I decided to re-locate to the Novotel close by and vacated the property just one hour after my arrival. I have registered the described above by pictures. My reservation details are: Reservation number: FNFDDMDP Reservation made by: Mr. SELVA MARCIO Next arrival date: 2017-07-25 I kindly request that the value of this reservation be refunded and that some measure is taken to avoid other guests to have the same unpleasant experience. Thanks a lot, Marcio

« Not good »

The corridor outside the room smelt to the extent that it made me feel sick. The colour of the carpet was also depressing. Whilst the hotel is basic, it doesn't have to be depressing.

« Grungy, dirty, stinky but really cheep »

I ended up booking the rooms through the central. I wanted to stop at the ibis in Geneva but all rooms were booked. The person who took the reservation forgot to mention that the restrooms and showers were in the hallway- which in itself is ok for a cheap hotel - but the fact that they were dirty and really stinky was uncalled for.

« Better than expected »

Reception very friendly and efficient. The room was old but clean and the bed comfortable enough. Despite being next to the airport there was not a lot of noise. Hotel guests seem to respect the request for silence after 10pm. The only minus was the state of the toilets which were worn and not very clean but with disinfectant provided it was possible to use them. Breakfast was good. I never stayed in this type of hotel but found it a positive experience, particularly for the price paid.

« The room was not clean  »

The staff was okay but the room was dirty. I know the standing of this hotel but still, I believe that it could be in a better conditions. Hair in the bed, bad smell in the room.

« My 2017 F1 hotels experience »

I am using F1 Hotels everytime I travel, I like it because its affordable. It is just hard to sleep because of the temperature in the rooms during hot days (May be small wall mounted fan will fix the problem) I will personally pay 10% more for that! Also because some people do not care about making noise after midnight, install a sign at the reception to tell them to be quiet passing midnight! Hope my comments helps!

« You get what you pay for »

This is basic accommodation which is what we expected. The building is maintained but beginning to show its age. Big difference this year is the change in towel policy, no towel supplied as part package.

« Very disappointing experience  »

I have stayed at F1 in other countries and it's not the same at all. I am surprised the Accor hotels has different standards for the same category of hotels in different parts of the world. It's looting the customer. It says on all the hotel web-sites that it's an "airport hotel". IT'S NOT. It shows a distance of 1.2kms on the sites. It's completely wrong. It's more than 20 minutes in a taxi from the airport and costs between 32 to 35 CHF (almost the same amount of USD). There is only one person staff at the hotel (apart from the cleaning staff) who can hardly speak English and most of them are rude and careless except Junior, who was quite helpful. Rooms were clean, hence 3 points out of 10. No showers or toilets in the rooms. The hotel doesn't even provide towels. It SELLS them. I found it a very cheap way of making money. The toilet paper was of the worst possible quality. The hotel boasts about a "rich" breakfast that they provide. It's a very basic breakfast with no natural fruit juice or fruit. It has one type of bread, one synthetic juice fountain, butter, jam, honey, milk and a machine for coffee/hot chocolate/hot milk. They did not even have real size spoons. There is no public transport available nearby. The nearest bus stand is about 10 minutes' walk and the bus passes by every 30-40 minutes. The nearest tram station is a 30 minute walk. There is no food or drink available at the hotel. There is a machine that dispenses some sodas and water and once something gets over it takes them several hours/days to replace the same. Water got over when we were there and they took 5 hours to replace it. Later we came to know that it was there in their warehouse, but nobody wanted to bring the box and put the bottles in the machines. Lazy, non-cooperative and rude staff. Pathetic experience. I paid 75 euros per night for this horrific experience. Do not go to this hotel. Highly NOT recommended.

« Vey low even for a F1 »

Bad quality of room, the smoke smell inside the room, the bathrooms and the noise within the corridors and rooms - all very negative It was my second experience in a F1, and very different from the initial one, once that everything was bad. The hotel does not have the minimun needed for a night rest.
