« Needs renovating »

Rooms are tired and need renovating. The gym needs proper weights and proper air conditioning. I was very disappointed about the sauna and steam rooms both being broken because that's why I chose this hotel over others in the area. Now I know for next time.

« A reasonable price hotel to access Dusseldorf city. »

We stopped here for 2 nights on our way to catch the ferry back to the UK. The location is very close to a U-Bahn station which takes you directly into the city. The hotel is mainly geared for business guests and there didn't appear to be any information about sightseeing options in reception. The breakfast was excellent and Andrea was charming and friendly. Our key card expired after 24 hours but this was very quickly fixed.

« Very pleasant weekend stay »

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel a number of times now, and enjoy the friendliness of staff, quiet location(whilst only being a short hop into the centre and airport), and the facilities on offer. We know we are going to get a good nights sleep, and were pleased to find that the sauna was on when we were there recently too. Staff as ever were very helpful and we can't thank them enough. Only downside would be that some of the carpets/ceiling tiles can be stained/worn, but this didn't detract from our stay.

« Very attentive & friendly staff »

We only stayed for 1 night. Check in was quick & easy. The room was clean and bed very comfy. The breakfast had many options to choose from. The bircher musli was perfect. The waffle machine was great for our kids. We appreciate that our sometimes loud kids were acknowledged by the staff with a smile and even got some toys. We can only recommend to stay at the Mercure Seestern as everyone was very welcoming.

My annual visit to the Mecure in Dusseldforf was another good trip, but was let down after I reported the shower head chrome being broken and dangerous. After being advised this would be rectified I came back later that night and in the morning went to have a shower only to find when I reached for the shower head the chrome was sharp. Disappointed I went down to check out and advised the front desk staff of the incident. She conferred with her colleague and advised the issue would be sorted after I had left as they didn't have any staff that could have swapped the damaged shower in my room. This small detail made my visit a disappointing one. When I wanted to speak to a member of management I was advised they were in a meeting.

« Everything perfect besides park ticket issue »

Everything perfect - spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast - but park ticket issue: mentioned to keep car in the garage until noon and was told that ticket is valid until 15:00; when I wanted to leave at 12:30 ticket was expired and receptionist was not very friendly... Note: this happened the first time and probably human mistake, that's why I rated in the middle

The Hotel is very normal considering the price you are paying , Plus the staff specially the receptions are not kind , I dont know the matter is language but generally they are not acting nice to guests. anyway , the hotel is very normal and I dont recommend to stay there once you have other and better choice

Something went wrong with my booking from Amex for this stay. Whilst I got the confirmation the booking did not happen from Amex to the Mercure hotel. Your manager at the front desk did help my in the most competent and friendly way to find a solution. i never felt along with that stupid hick-up and very well looked after. I like the staff and hotel location. Food is ok. Every time I get a room on floor 3 it smells of cigarettes. You also do not have beans at breakfast anymore. I’m sure you used to.

we do not like to complain however our stay was lack luster, room was fine but poorly serviced, staff were friendly enough and helpful we had to ask for towels on 3 occasions as there were none in our room meals in the resultant very plain. one evening when dinning with an other couple one meal did not arrive till the others were finnished
