I slept badly because of the very hard bed. Furthermore, the shower was cold to very hot. This was very unpleasant and also dangerous because of the very hot. But cold was also really cold and that changed during 1 shower session of 5 min. :-(

« Comfortable but difficult to get the right room temperature. »

In general good, breakfast is very nice. Bed felt it was getting a bit old, maybe not the most comfortable anymore. I remember it was nicer previous stays. The duvet provided for single occupancy in a double bed is pretty small. The thermostat was difficult to adjust to good temperature, it was either too hot or to cold.

The staff (especially the old lady at the breakfast/lunch buffet) was very helpful, personal and motivated. However, the product is very impersonal. One example: As a participant of a seminar, I got free drinks and snacks during the day. The moment I went to my room, I have to pay exorbitant prices for a glass of water. You can feel, that many things got rationalized over time and that the Hotel is just one of many of a big chain.

I had traveled for overs 20hrs straight no sleep and tired, I arrived at the hotel on a Wednesday at about 13hrs only to be told I can only check in at 15hrs. For someone that exhausted its not good news to hear. Other than that my overall stay the Mercure Hotel was splendid, all though i don't understand the essence of the twin beds in the room if am alone. A simple deluxe would do just fine

« Great front desk staffs during the day »

The stay was great and the front desk staff was very helping. U77 tram within 2 minutes. U74/U76 within 10 mins walk. Room is clean and spacious. Breakfast was great but will prefer that they change their menu daily. -It is the same dishes for the entire stay.

The hotel overall was pretty okay. There was just one guy at the front desk (hotelstaff) that was very rude in my opinion. He was very unhelpfull and rude when he was speaking to me or my partner when we had a question. The roomnoverall was fine, and the food was okay. In the end; would not come back.
