We did have an issue because our room smelled of tobacco, however it was solved and got upgrade to a very large and comfortable room.

The bed was very very hard, the blanket was a single TV for a double bed, and was not very comfortable to sleep in. The pillows were very poor, no fluff, and only two pillows. The shower burned me and then made me cold all at the same setting, this is a common problem of your hotel, and you still have not fixed this

We stayed at the hotel from Thursday to Sunday last week. Two times when the cleaner was visited the room, OUR DOOR WAS LEFT WIDE OPEN! Luckily, there were nothing stolen, but as we were away from the hotel the whole day, it was very confusing to come back late evening and notice that the door was open and that it may have been open the whole day as the cleaners usually cleans the rooms already in the afternoon. Very very poor service!!! When we signed in, the reception lady asked us to give our credit card number as deposit for our stay because we had ordered the room by travel agency (hotels.com). When we said that we don't own any credit card, she asked that we need to pay 100 € deposit for our stay because we don't have a credit card. This was very confusing because we had for example payed the room for the whole stay already in advance. Anyway, we told that we don't have enough cash but we have a debit card and she asked us to use that one to pay the 100 euros. She told that we will get the money back on Sunday. She put the amount (100) on the machine and we put the PIN code and she said that everything is OK now. Well, when we were leaving on Sunday, another reception lady said that we cannot get 100 euros back because there were'nt any mention in the system that we had payed that money. We argued with the lady like 15 minutes. We tried to explain what was told to us on Thursday and she was trying to explain that there is no prove that the money was took from us. In the end, she gave us your business card and asked to call back if the money has disappeared from our bank account. When we got back home we noticed that there were'nt any 100 charge from our bank account BUT WHY DID NOT THE LADY ON THURSDAY EVENING TOLD US THAT SHE DID NOT MAKE ANY CHARGE FROM OUR BANK ACCOUNT? She just put the 100 euros amount on the machine, asked our PIN code and told that everything is OK now and we will get our money back on Sunday when we leave. She did not tell us that she didn't charge anything. This was VERY POOR service from your side and cause a big misunderstanding and very poor customer experience. We will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning to visit Dusseldorf.

I was made to feel very welcome at check-in. I was given a map and explanation about how to use the metro. I was conveniently sold a day ticket at the front desk for the metro. I appreciated that very much. I also enjoyed the complimentary minibar convenience. I ate a very delicious dinner at the restaurant. The server was very helpful, I needed to do some work and he provided an extension cord so I could charge both my computer and phone at the same time. I appreciated that effort very much.

Reception were always really helpful. Bar/restaurant staff were great- although food took quite a long time to come out. Room was large and clean. Not very good selection on room service menu. Breakfast buffet was really good! Could have cooked breakfast, bread and meat, pancake, cereal, toast, fruit, juices, cakes- such a good selection

Picked for me by corporate system, I didn't request being on this side of river so would never have planned to stay here. However I found the hotel comfortable and spacious, with great fitness facilities and very good quality evening meal.
