I was in Zhengzhou only for the night as I had to catch an early train in the morning. I found the staff to be friendly, warm and funny to interact with. They were eager to receive feedback about the hotel but I had just checked in which we had a good laugh about. I did give feedback in the morning as the light in the shower was not functioning properly. And apparently my room was missing a laundry bag which the staff asked if I had seen during my stay to which I cannot say I have, I didn't even know there was a laundry bag until they asked me.

The receptionist and doormen are nice to approach and get ready to help at any time. Each details would be observed and cared when checking in. They prepared and served coke with ginger sauce after noticing that I got a cold. Meanwhile, the restaurant service is not good as expected. There is no enough basic seasoning for wontons and the staff didn't give me any response after reporting to her this problem at that moment. It's not a respect behaviour.

Lighting in the room should have option to make it bright enough. Too dark for working in room (Not always with romantic lighting in the room!) Stain at the carpet not being cleaned. Dirt at the window highly visible Poor service in Chinese restaurant in which American Express Card and all other Visa/Master card issued by banks outside China are NOT being accepted, not in line with the image of an internaional hotel chain

I travelled with my family, 3 kids under 12 (one coeliac (gluten free). The restaurant managers went out of their way to cater for my daughter. Jason and the reception team organised a trip to the Shoalin monastery, every thing went to plan and we could not fault the hotel. We stayed in two rooms as a family of 5, it was spacious and comfortable. A wonderful experience, which I can highly recommend.

Checked in around 5+pm and was told there was not non-smoking room (2 beds) available, even though that what I booked and it was way past check in time. After I expressed displeasure, I was finally given a non-smoking room (1 big bed). There's smoke smell everywhere in the hotel. The breakfast buffet food quality needs to be greatly improved. It's a little far by walk from the nearest subway station.
