« Always delivers and this time extra special »

We always stay here when in NYC and we are always delighted with the hotels level of service and amenities. It was my wife's 60th Birthday and our daughter was surprising us by being in NYC. The hotel management went out of its way to help us arrange the surprise and added a birthday cake and drinks for the celebration. We love it here, and will love it more once the hotel is renovated next year. Thank you Michelle and your team

I had a nice and comfortable junior suite on the 29th floor. Quiet bedroom with a comfortable bed, clean and spacious bathroom and well equipped living room with large desk. The only thing missing seemed to be a coffee machine / boiler for tea but otherwise perfect.

I have stayed at the Sofitel NYC for business on numerous occasions. I return repeatedly because this hotel is the perfect combination of elegance and friendliness. Stepping into the warm, art-and flower-filled lobby always brings a sigh of relief from the hustle and grittiness of midtown. The ambience is lovely and refined, but not uptight. But what really brings me back here is the staff. From the very nice men who greet me at the door, help with luggage, find a taxi or car service, to the accommodating desk staff who always find a way to meet my requests, to the attentive and kind waitstaff in the restaurant who spoil me with treats. That level of service makes all the difference. All of the facilities are exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber, but the staff is what makes the Sofitel NYC exceptional.

Great experience except at the breakfast downstairs..the woman in her 30s brunette on march12 at 11:30am was giving my kid a dirty look cause he dropped utensils and then we had a miss understand about the bill and she said "its not like you can have breakfast all day" and my thought was that its an open breakfast but she phrased it in a rude way. I don't want anybody to get in trouble but that lady need to learn to interact with families and kids..again I don't want anybody else to get in trouble but my receipt that day point at the person that was working at that desk.

Stayed in a junior suite, nice room but needed more closet space, bathroom was good but telephone shower in bathtub leaked. Furniture needed updating and doors separating rooms did not work well. Overall very nice but needs some updating

The staff at the hotel is always pleasant and tries to make your stay easy and comfortable. The rooms are the most quiet and dark that I have ever stayed in. The beds are super comfortable. It is easy to sleep. This is my "go to" hotel in NYC.

Still trying to get a response about why my luggage was 48 hours delayed to delivery looking for my room. Simply looking for the hotel to clarify in writing when the bag was delivered. Instead I am being asked to broker communications with the airline and delivery service. Completely unreasonable and unacceptable. Sofitel has now stopped answering my emails.

My name is Amanda G., I was staying at the Sofitel NYC location Sunday, March 3-Wednesday, March 6th in room 1104. On Monday night, I came back from dinner to my door left completely wide open. Fortunately, nothing was taken, but as you can imagine this is not an ideal situation. Your Front Desk, Manager, and Security quickly handled the situation with care and professionalism. They offered complementary wine and meals, but I already had plans for my work trip. They then told me to let your team know if there's anything they can do regarding this incident. I was then given an email to contact, however, the email doesn't exist. I would like to request Sofitel points that cover a 3 day stay for the inconvenience and less than ideal situation. My experience using points tells me that this would be a total of 40,000 points. Please confirm that these points will be added to my account. Thank you, Amanda

I loved how quiet and comfortable the room was, fitness center very good, all employees very professional and friendly. Only issue I had was with wake-up call the morning after clocks changed so my call was 1 hour earlier than I actually requested as your system wasn't updated with the time change.

We were at the Sofitel NY because my husband had hip replacement surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian. We could obviously have chosen a hotel nearer to the hospital, but I've stayed at the Sofitel before on business, and always found it to be a wonderful experience. This time was no different -- the staff were caring and helpful. I would like to single out for particular mention XAVIER VELEZ at the front desk, who saw the challenge of our situation and made an extra effort to ensure that our visit was a comfortable one. Mr. Velez has all of the qualities that make for exceptional hospitality -- he is observant, warm, engaging, and caring. I hope that the hotel management views him as positively as we do.

My experience was not as good as usual. This is the second time I've stayed in Sofitel hotels with really poor bed. The mattress was sagging and beat down. Really uncomfortable.
