Lovely staff welcome on arrival. Room clean and comfortable Bar and restaurant staff nice and friendly. Menu was basic, healthy options and vegetarian restricted. Will be visiting again soon overall a good stay.

Friendly staff, rooms were basic but clean. Problem with the heating unit stuck at 28degrees during the night. Lot of traffic noise at the front Really comfy bed tho!

The hotel was nice, clean, friendly staff, very comfortable room, very comfortable bed, quiet. It would have been a perfect stay ...but... I was staying here the night before a world conference. I was meant to have been staying alone but my husband did end up coming with me - thankfully. I’d asked for a quiet room which was at the furthest point away from reception and in the top floor, very quiet but kind of isolating, which would have been fine, if a man didn’t accidentally come into my room. It was all fine and was a genuine mistake but if I had been staying alone I would have been afraid. That’s my only negative comment. Otherwise, great.

The room was clean, and had everything you would need. Check in was simple, and all the staff were friendly. All at a good price. The immediate area is nothing too special but the Bull Ring is a 5 min cab ride.

The staff aren’t very inviting and when we got to breakfast the next morning there was hardly anything left and no one had bothered to refill anything. It wasn’t very professional and we were just left there to wait for eggs which was the only things refilled. Deffo would not reccomend the breakfast.

« I’m a regular, but would like to suggest some improvements please. »

I’m a regular at this hotel (about twice a month for the last year), and I keep coming back because of the location, value, comfortable rooms and helpful staff.A few grumbles though...Room heating and cooling remains a complete mystery! And room maintenance niggles are very annoying (broken sink plugs, light bulbs, chargers, loo roll holders, bathroom extractor fans, plus dripping loos and taps, for example). Keycards sometimes work, but often don’t.And, whilst the choice and quality of restaurant food is very good, the slow speed of kitchen service regularly leaves much to be desired. 40 minutes from ordering to service is hard to understand when I’m the only person in the restaurant? And I’ve simply ordered a beefburger or a pizza?Granted that Victoria always looks after me very well, for which I’m very grateful. But my most recent early evening (before 6.30pm) order of beefburger and chips took well over 40 minutes to arrive, and that only after I had chased it. With other guests arriving and ordering the same meal after me, that they received and had already eaten before I received mine?Then my meal was cold when it did arrive, and I had to wait for another 27 minutes for a new one to be cooked. Victoria kindly brought me a free orange and lemonade drink while I waited.But, tired and hungry after a long day and a long drive and hoping to retire by 8pm (as usual) for a 4.30am wakeup call, a 67 minute wait for a meal is just the latest in the long waiting times that I’ve experienced. Hope this is taken as a constructive comment and that appropriate improvements can be made?

The cards can become deactivated if placed near mobile phones or near magnets in a handbag, and I appreciate that this can be immensely frustrating. The window can not be closed in room 322 which was mine for one night. The noise due to the traffic under my window was extremely heavy it was very hard to fall asleep. Breakfast: there was almost nothing to eat when we arrived at the "restaurant". The tables were very dirty, we had to clean ours. There were not any clean forks and knives.

There is bad smell from the wash basin drainage present most of the time. The shower temperature is either too hot or too cold on adjustment left or right..takes too much time to change The mattress was too hard and gave us back pain, uncomfortable sleep, hence late checkout paid for The phone in room does not connect direct dial to reception phone, I had to go through to customer services to be redirected
