My husband and I are in England/Midlands to visit family and friends our first stop was Birmingham so I booked with a trusted brand, AccorHotels/Ibis. This particular Ibis was close to the areas that I was visiting. When we arrived, Silvia was extremely helpful and friendly. We were given a room on the first floor at the back of the hotel which gave us a lovely view and a quiet room.

Pillows were hard as a rock. I had to buy some cheap pillows from the supermarket to get a good night's sleep. Not enough towels in the room Air conditioning didn't work properly and when we asked for help the staff member gave a vague answer and suggested we just open the window. It was too loud outside to open the window.

We expected to recieve things for the price we paid at the hotel. There was no hand wash. No slippers. Just 3 towels. It wasnt as clean as it should be. and the room service came at a time we were sleeping. It was chilli and the windows were hard to close with draft.

Great stay! My guest and I were happy to stay and take advantage of facilities.

I found it very comfortable and value for money. My only issue was that my guest had an issue with the key card to their room. Otherwise above and beyond service.

We requested a cod on the reservation. Upon arrival cod was not there. We had to request one. We were provided a broken one, so had to request a second one. Then we needed to request beeding for it (it was dirty) but they didn't had proper one, so we had to manage with a single bed one, kind of joke really. The room was noise, you can hear the road way too much and the bathroom was smelly. We also weren't provided with 2 bath towels size, just one for 2 guest, and when we requested another one there was none available.

After booking this as a quick layover with young daughter it was pretty disappointing to have what seemed to be the sound of either a hairdryer or hoover constantly wake both of us up during the night.

Cheap price, could have been wonderful, just lacked attention to detail, air cooler not working in room, the phone/guide thing in room would not load, and bathroom felt like a caravan!??

Arrived, staff very helpful. Room allocated did not have aircon working and window would not open, room too warm. Got a new room after that everything went well. Room clean and comfortable. Wifi good.

I was extremely impressed by the overall standard of the hotel!! The reception and hallways were spotlessly clean, as was my room!! Everywhere looked fresh and tidy!! All the reception staff were extremely helpful and polite - nothing was too much trouble!! Even after I had checked out, they were willing to look after my hand luggage whilst I was exploring Birmingham!! A service not available in many hotels and one for which I was extremely grateful!! There was only one thing that niggled me and that was the shower head falling out of its bracket when you showered, but that was a minor detail!! Also, though not really a niggle with the hotel specifically, I thought that the pillows were a tad hard and £1.50 for a small chocolate bar was a bit steep!! Apart from those small things, I loved everything about the hotel, including the staff and I shall definitely be returning!! Thank you so much!!
