« Clean, convenient, helpful staff and comfortable room »

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was a problem, perhaps due to construction, but the valet parking solved that and was very responsive. The restaurant was more expensive than the food warranted, but that is our only real complaint. The room was clean and conveniently appointed. We were thankful for the many USB charging ports that reduced our use of power converters.

« Central but with take comes parking & access problems, I see you are on to it. »

Comfortable. We booked a 2 double bed room as we had our 28yrold disabled sone with us. Unfortunately when housekeeping cleaned the room, they removed the 3 used towels and replaced them with only 2 frtesh towels, so when we came back from the wedding at 2am and wanted to shower, we where short a towel. not so nice.

We chose Novotel in order to join other wedding guests.Disappointed to first if all we had to pay for guest parking given the construction site at the entrance of the hotel, there was little choice but to accept parking . The room was substandard and possibly the worst hotel room experience in NZ.... dirty carpet, tv didn't work, cracked drinking glass, chipped coffee mug,general faitigue of accomodation status, overpowering smell of air freshener as we got out of the lift... we were on a non smoking floor but it was as if smells were trying to be eliminated

The shower and bed very good. Barman was very good during lunch. Did think the continental breakfast was expensive for cereal and toast. At $26 we could have had full for $32.

« An okay stay »

Good online check in, parking was a pain (pity we were not prewarned.) Warm and easy greeting from the desk. Room adequate, bed comfortable, pity we didn't get a view of the river but we weren't close to the lifts. beds comfortable, shower good, bedside lights very narrow focus and hard to use. Water in the lobby delicious and attractive and did appreciate the newspapers each day. Check out easy.

« Nice quiet Weekend »

We enjoyed the Hotel over a two night weekend stay.The room was comfortable and had all we needed.One improvement would be simpler operation of the aircondioning, it would be better if it could be put on a slow quiet speed.We had a meal on the first night and really enjoyed the service and the food.

Great check in service. Helped ourselves to the Luggage Carrier to shift our luggage to our room. Easy access to the lifts from the room given to us. Great service by the staff - Reception Main Entrance (Much appreciated Ayla's help in particular); Dining reception and Waiting Services and Room Service in regard to cleaning. Loved the breakfast and dinner meals we had - very approachable staff with quick responses to our requests. Comfortable room with a good range of TV channels to choose from when we had time to view. Overall it was an awesome experience, thank you.

It was a nice stay. I just want you to clean up the room during our stay. I stayed 4 nights there and realized the bathtub was never cleaned up and vacuum cleaner was not used during the stay. Also one of the shampoo bottle I brought there was broken I am quite sure that room cleaning staff dropped it and broke it. (small thing but if it happened in Japan, i would definitely get a call from one of the staff you have ) other than that, I found many good points, receptionists are all friendly and willing to assist us. valet service is also very convenient. location is also good, In-room dining is great too.

The rooms are fantastic, centrally located, nice welcome touches hand writing welcome cards, it's the small things that make a hotel standout. Great play area for kids in restaurant, this was so helpful. Would highly recommend.
