I thought this hotel was a little less than the standard I would have expected from an Accor hotel. Rooms-small could only fit one chair for two people-no handtowels (but we were given extra facewashers), Cleaning staff (2 on the 13 floor) wore masks "because of all the dust" and told us where we could purchase them- the light switch by the door and plug beside the bed didn't work and a screw sticking out of the wall that caught my cloths (however, the repair people were there next day to fix the problems) Two and a half stars

Spacious room with two king beds,, beds very comfortable, breakfast good value. , view out of bedroom window non existence other than a mobile tower. Room was good value. Will use Accor again reasonable value.

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The problem with the movies on our TV was resolved by friendly technicians. I was given a special dish at breakfast which was a tasty treat. We enjoyed being in the middle of China town and opposite World Square. Our room was small but suited us well.

I was very happy with the room and stay. Seamless and easy. I would have loved a microwave in the room, but otherwise no issues. Though please note, my workplace booked this and included breakfast. When I attended breakfast, I quickly learnt that my options were limited as a Coeliac (cannot eat gluten). Yes, there was cereal, but I was shocked to see that there was bread under the bacon and sausages (I assume to soak up the oil), rendering them unedible for me without making myself sick. I would recommend that you review this to ensure that all guests have a variety of choice for breakfast.

« Outside noise too loud »

I stayed on the 11th floor looking toward Goulburn St (south?). I was unable to go to sleep until after 2:30am as there was a band playing in one of the pubs and the noise of people on the street was very disturbing. The room was not sound insulated adequately. I would have thought on the 11th floor that I would not be affected by street noise. I will not stay here again (or not in a south facing room).

« Extremely unpleasant experience i ever had »

Hygiene problem: cockroach, dirty carpet, dirty bedsheets (and they don’t change it daily), smelly towels, various fingerprints on the hairdryer… Maintenance: water leaking from the air conditioner Staff: inexperience and/or irresponsible We stayed in Ibis world square Sydney for 6 nights and we were first being allocated a room on the 3/F. In a night at around 1 a.m. when I was sleeping, I was awakened by the water dropping sound and thereafter found out that there was water leakage like raining from the air-con, the lamp as well as the side table underneath, and my pillow were all wet. I have even helpfully put the lamp on the floor to avoid it being damaged by the leakage. I immediately sought help from the front desk and it was totally unbelievable that the front desk staff blamed me for pressing the wrong button that caused the leakage, and warned me not to touch the air con control panel as he needed to reset or restart the air con, though it doesn’t make any logical sense to me and of course what he did not cure the leakage. I was completely indignant at his attitude and the said reason that he put forward. Having insisted on changing to another room rather than waiting for further action from the hotel, I was relocated to the 1/F at around 1:45 a.m., with the thought that I did not have to change room again. However, the day after when I backed to the hotel and opened the door, there was a big, live cockroach in my room. At this point, it is needless to say I considered myself not staying in a hotel but a place better than a kennel, and other hygiene problems as pointed out above seems trivial. The staff in the front desk are in general not polite and had failed to do as what he/she as promised, which is very disappointing. Photos have been taken and can be provided upon request.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. We checked in early 8:30am and a room was available so we where able to go straight to the room. The only thing that i can say was that the noise from building behind was loud and we thought the window was open. It was a Friday night But saying that we did sleep

Touch down in Sydney Airport early in the morning, as we don't know where to go first because we have 2 big luggages, we take Uber to drive us to IBIS Sydney World Square. Arrived at 10am in the hotel, we got early checked-in by the staff (appreciate it), so we can take rest first. Especially on that day, there is a MardiGras Event in Sydney, we got freshen up and go to see the event. The hotel location is very good to us. It's in front of the World Square Mall where there are many foods & Stores around it. The mall has a high speed internet, Coles Supermarkets, JB Hifi for Electronics, restaurants, cafes, retail stores. It's right across the street. If you go on the left and across the street there is a 678 Korean BBQ restaurant which I very recommended. It's 7-8 mins walking to QVB (Queen Victoria Building) And it's in the centre of CBD. The hotel got 2 lifts. The room is clean & nice. I need a softer pillow btw :), AC was good, Toilet good. We got 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water on the first checked in for 7 nights stay in the hotel (while other hotels might give 2 complimentary mineral bottle everyday - my input). Also when we checked out and want to store the luggage, we have to do it ourself to store it in the basement and nobody (bellboys/concierge) can help with tags or receipt. But overall it's been nice staying in this hotel. Everything is good. Location is good. We would like to recommend this hotel to our friends who want to come to Sydney. And for sure, we will go back to this hotel when we visit Sydney again in the future. Thank you.
