This hotel is nice and quite, centrally located and has fresh, well laid out rooms. The restaurant did get a bit busy, and the breakfast was good. Very functional. The bar area is a bit exposed - a partition forming two seating bays may make the bar area a bit more appealing and less of a thoroughfare.

The rooms have been renovated since my last visit some 15 months ago - however they are still as small and cramped -the new shower is just staright from the roof rain shower with no options of showering with hand held shower - now no longer a wash line to hang wet underwear - still no in room safe ( which is a good idea ) - location wise is good .The maintenance and rooms are clean and tidy - had a room on the 8th floor which is not much of a view - looking at across to the roof of another low rise hotel .If you are claustaphobic - ask for an upgrade larger room The lobby is very small and cramped - and sad enough they have removed the coin operated laundry - and if you use the in house laundry - it will cost you an arm and a leg The two tiny lifts are really a problem at peak hours - can load only a couple of people with luggage at a time and if there is a big group of people like air line crew arriving - well the queue is pretty bad - and you need to tap your card then select floor so yes this is definitely an issue

The room was just what we had hoped for. Everything was perfectly comfortable and convenient. My only issue would have to be the breakfast. The hot things were all quite watery from sitting covered for an extended period of time. Other than that, it was lovely. Will be back!

there was significant construction in the hotel which caused a dirty and messy outcome, the Breakfast room was grossly understffed resulting in tables not being cleared, food not being replenished and a general air of chaos (the one wait person who was on duty each day was exceptional in what she was trying to do by herself the room was small and pokey with a smell of damp.

Upon check in, I only received one complementary drink voucher. There was no complementary water bottle in the room. There was no spare pillow in the cupboard. Overall, the room was very clean and the staff were more than helpful. The manager would do well to review the benefits offered to accor club silver+ members, and not try to be a cheapskate.

« Room 305 a disaster »

Happy with room 811 but the other room ( 305 ) we booked was unsatisfactory. Firstly I thought the room was going to be a double bed and 2 singles yet only 3 singles. Secondly the room looked recently renovated but had many minor defects; bathroom door lock broken so couldn't close door for fear of being locked in bathroom ( Happened on 1 occasion), tv wouldn't work, lamp wouldn't work. phone wouldn't work. Thirdly, being on separate floors was a hinderance as the lifts often were slow, jammed, not working, had too many staff on them, and wouldn't let us access the other floor ( thus had to use the stairs many times.
