« Great staff and facility, easy to find and very well located. »

We only stayed overnight, but the room, the staff, and restaurant were all fantastic! The only reason we rated 9 and not 10 out of 10 was the traffic noise (which is unavoidable) as we live on acreage in the country so the noise level was noticeable to us. Honestly this would not of mattered where we were in the hotel we are just sensitive to this. The room itself was very clean and well presented and could not be faulted.

« Poor experience - unlikely to return. »

Our experience was poor. We were in room 110 which is a disabled room despite us not requesting one. I'm a tall guy so this made the bathroom awkward and uncomfortable to use - we also didn't have a real shower. Room decor was tired and old, and the room wasn't cleaned properly. That room is also quite noisy, which kept my partner awake although I slept fine. In this day and age having a television of the kind that's in that room was ridiculous. It's one of the old pay per view ones with very few channels, most of which cut in and out. The buttons barely work on the remote to turn on and off. I'd expect better from a '4'* hotel in 2019. Also our towels smelled of smoke, which is quite strange. Breakfast the next day was fine - plenty of choice.

I thought the room was great and I thought the dinner meal in the restaurant was excellent but the breakfast food was a poor quality. The bacon in particular was dry and unpleasant both days and the sausage and mushrooms were not much better. My wife would not even try the coffee on the second day due to the experience on the first day.

It was nice to get our privilege upgrade. Unfortunately we could not get 2 beds. It is important to stay so close to our children’s boarding schools. It worked out this time because it was a last minute trip and the children were busy with school and could not stay for the night. Daniel Ryley was very helpful booking the accommodation and allowing me to use Loyalty points with the booking. We really enjoy our stays with you tell other boarder parent at both my son and daughter’s schools. We have been staying their since boarding school sleepovers in 2015! We enjoy knowing many of the staff by name including Elise and Tara and we get to ask how everyone’s children are going at school. We note there is new staff in the dining room and appreciate they are learning. Our Accor membership dining is very important for us.

Our room was meant to have 3 beds which I paid an extra charge for. We were given an incorrect room upon check in. I spoke to reception and they were taking a little while to look into the error and how to rectify it. We then opted to go out for dinner while they fixed the problem. When we returned, we were allocated a new room which had the 3 beds. Staff were friendly so no issues with that. Really just a minor inconvienience overall.
