I love the new rooms they are bigger and much cleaner. On the down side some items from the hot breakfast were unavailable at 7.30am!

Very noisy refurbishment works were taking place until 6pm which was not advertised when I booked my accommodation. Once the workers had finished for the day, it was much better. Reception staff were polite and food available was tasty and filling.

The helpfulness and friendliness of your reception staff was exceptional however there is a major issue with your misrepresentation of prices which of course is an offence in the eyes of the law. I had unknowingly booked the Saturday night instead of Friday so when I arrived I was told I would have to book and pay for Friday which I did using your website on my phone the cheapest price being £85.50. In view of the circumstances I asked your manager asked if she would be willing to waiver the £20 charge for my two dogs which she point Blank refuse to do without any consideration whatsoever. The young lady on reception then suggested that she cancel the payment I had made of £85.50 and she would retake just the difference between the original £43 I paid and the full cost of £85 plus £20 for my dog's. I was most grateful for this action as it saved me quite a considerable amount of money, I then noticed the board outside of your hotel said rooms available from £55 this sign still stated the same figure the next morning which is obviously completely misleading. If people were to drive on to a garage forecourt and the price at the petrol pump was almost double the price quoted on the board there would be an outcry but this is exactly what your hotel was guilty of doing. I am probably one of your most regular customers, I must have stayed at your hotel over 10 times this year already and have never in the past experience do you type of problems I have these last few months. I would therefore suggest it's time to have a look at the management at your hotel in Coventry South especially in view of the helpfulness of the receptionist in contrast to the in transience of the manager and her attitude. As I have already stated you are committing an offence for advertising rooms for a cost which they are not then available at. I look forward to receiving your comments along with the refund of £30 which I am due before I take this matter to the small claims court

Have stayed here a few times because it's convenient for me. As most Tripadvisor comments reveal there are issues around cleanliness and general state of the rooms. Before now these issues, whilst clearly true in each room I had stayed in, I wasn't too concerned, I just gave the room a wipe around and carried on. This time the room was so dirty, brown carpets that weren't originally brown, dirty stained bath, hairs in bath and sink, sink blocked, damp patch on bed - to name but a few, that it's no longer somewhere I'm prepared to stay. To add insult to injury it's not cheap.

Great room which has recently been redecorated and upgraded to a high standard. Extremely comfortable bed, in a great location. Hotel staff were excellent, they are polite, welcoming and very helpful.

Room decor tired, old and tatty. Noisy and faulty lighting. Some fixtures damaged. Could have lived with this for an overnight stay, but worst aspect was a noticeable odour - mothballs, bathing products? Lack of ventilation didn't help. Bed comfy, temperature OK. In the morning, found surrounding rooms being refurbished. Staff friendly, breakfast OK.

The room was recently refurbished so had a strong smell of paint. Unfortunately the room wall heater was not working and the temporary heater wasn't quite up to the job on a cold night. The staff were very helpful and set up an extra heater which made the room comfortable.

Comfortable room and bed with varied breakfast. The heating in the room could be improved as there is only an electric radiator which was inadequate for room and bathroom even turned up full -quite chilly at this time of year!

Perfectly good value for money. Rooms well equipped and clean. Beds comfy and fresh. Staff pleasant. Free wi-fi and free parking were bonuses. Would happily stay there again.

Site was so poorly lit I couldn’t find my room. No bath towels, iron didn’t work when delivered, tv had sound but no vision. Staff tried their best to cope but a little overwhelmed by the challenge of running a service at a hotel in such poor state of repair.

My only negative comment during my stay was the cooked breakfast. Unfortunately as it was under 'lights' the bacon was impossible to cut no matter his hard I tried. The rest of the breakfast was good.

I accepted that this would be below my expectations by the satisfaction rating and Ibis standard but I regret that I would definitely not recommend anyone to stay there, even after the most required refurbishment. Problems with getting in, no heating in the room and limited dinner choice. It really was poor..and I am a great Ibis fan normally.

Damp room ,the smell of damp when you went in ,black walls ,stained carpet stained curtains, kettel that didn't work , fluorescent light out side bedroom window which stay on all night ,skip outside my room very welcoming ,cold was good though.

After some dubious reviews we were a bit anxious at staying here but our fears were unfounded. All the rooms on the first floor have been refurbished and are very clean an comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also good.
