No sound block and our room facing the street. All people shouting and car driving. Also, I have no idea why the hotel let our nearby room to set up a party even though the staff helps to make them to turn down the noise.

Room, wifi and parking facilities are great value as per expected Ibis standards. Housekeeping was a little too eager on multiple occasions to clean the room whilst my partner was still in the room. The shower pressure was not the best in Room 29. Probably worth a check.

Disappointed to find when booking in March 2019 for our one night's stay in August that your rates had been considerably inflated for the period covering the Ashes Test Match at Edgbaston

Poor customer service and broken promises

Booked early check-in 9am and arrived at this time only to be told we couldn't have the room till 2.30pm even tho the booking confirmation email and website states that paid extra options are "Your options guaranteed" the reception staff say that d this isn't the case and cleaners don't start till after 10am so they wouldn't be able to give us a room. We went out for the day and on arrival to check in at 18.45 spoke to the desk manager kristian he said the same as the receptionist from the morning so I shown him what it says on the website and our email confirmation. He told us he'd have a look at this and email me that night. I didn't receive the email and he wasn't available when checking out but was given his business card with email address to send him a email. We did this on Sunday afternoon after arriving home and still haven't had any acknowledgement of receiving this below is what we sent via email Just in reference to our conversation yesterday when we were checking in. I didn't receive the for said email from yourself last night regarding our booking and not being able to us the early check in that we booked. I've forwarded with this email our reservation email which clearly states the following "Your options guaranteed" which wasn't carried out. I've also read the terms and conditions of the the extras and no where does it say subject to availability. On this occasion your hotel has failed to carry out your own mission 15' where the Accor group state that "if there’s something wrong, please tell us, and we’ll immediately launch Mission 15’ – our promise to make things right and put a smile on your face within 15 minutes flat. If we don't manage to do that, your stay is on us" obviously you didn't carry out this either. I look forward to your response to this email

Whilst in Birmingham, I always use this hotel for my stay. It absolutely suits my needs. I'm always happy with the the complete package of this hotel. Welcoming, professional, clean. The only annoyance on this stay was late night /early morning loud drunken revellers retuning to the hotel. Thankfully it didn't go on for ages.

Booking was good, reception good, room decent, bed comfortable, but too much noise from street (room146) due to lack of decent double glazing, and walls too thin so could hear other rooms to easily.

Hotel needs improvement. Bedrooms were outside in a’motel ‘ format so main hotel area was In a separate building. Access was by an outside gate which did not appear to be locked, an important factor as the surrounding area tends to attract undesirables. Room was clean and beds were comfortable but hot as no air conditioning. Shower very difficult to control and when hot suffered from low water pressure. However staff were excellent and did all they could to sort out our problems. Breakfast was excellent and it was good value for money.

Had a 2 night stay and was really pleased. It's only 2* but had all that was needed. Friendly staff, great location, a comfy bed, cheap car parking and not too expensive for a weekend break. I'd happily stay here again.

Original room was dirty eg. Stains on the bedsheets, towels etc. Got transferred to a new room; which was cleaner. However, bath tub had a lot of unpleasant stains & the shower temperature kept changing from hot to cold in seconds.

Liked the fact that the premies had security gates not over whelmed by the exterior but the rooms were modern and bed comfortable the bath was small and stained but that was a minor detail the breakfast was more than expected and very well presented. A short two street walk into Brinley place for restaurants, canal and sea life cut through ICC to top end of town.
