« Great location for the O2 Accademy »

Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. The main heating doesn't work and the very small radiator was enough...but it wasn't very cold outside. I imagine it would be insufficient for really cold weather. It looks like the rooms are starting to be refurbished, which will hopefully include the heating. Would recommend, but at the moment, not for very cold days!

I like the fact that you dont charge extra for extra tea bags etc. I dont like the noisy toilet cistern but it wouldnt put me off staying again.

We stayed at this hotel as my work's Christmas party was 5 minutes down the road and it was cheaper than getting a taxi back to Tamworth

Staff were very friendly when we checked in, we were however told there was maintenance being carried out that wasn’t mention when booking. So this was loud and inconvenient. The room was nice and location of the hotel was handing for going into the town. Breakfast was also lovely

The rooms are basic, and shabby. I was unable to get my TV to work, and the reception were unable to help as they had only one member of staff and she couldn't leave the desk.

Was good, was put in one of the recently renovated rooms so smelled strongly of paint when first arrived but that soon disapated. Bed was comfy enough but water pressure in the shower was really low and merely dribbled out. Other than that everything was alright.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good however the stay was disappointing. Having specifically chosen a hotel which promised a bath we were disappointed to arrive to find there was only a shower. The shower also barely worked, the water pressure being so low it came out as a trickle. Building works on the hotel woke us up early in the morning and the toilet made loud noises every time it was used and took far too long to refill.

Some basic maintenance and attention to detail would go along way in making the experience more pleasant. Broken toilet lever, noisy cistern, tv remote with cellotape to hold batteries in place, wafer thing adjoining room door which doesn’t stop normal speaking volume from next door.

Customer service was good and room size was good But the hotel services were very poor. The water had very low pressure so took ages to clean up, constant noise of works, condensation problems inside the room, heater wasn't strong enough and worst of all there is a small ventilation shaft on top of the door which sucked in all dust and dirt from the works and I'm still suffering from a bad synus until now! Quite disappointed that a company with such a brand would have left such little to imagination on service

I booked a night at the hotel to get a decent sleep due to workmen in my home. I arrived and checked in great welcome very friendly. Got to the room looked great after a refurb. I was woken up by workmen banging and drilling at 0900 i was not impressed such a waste of a £50 stay as i never got the sleep i needed and was not told about the work taking place by staff. I normally enjoy my stay at this hotel but this was a waste of money

The room was very clean but it was cold. There were 2 heaters in the room and neither seemed to work. Slept well until someone walked past the room at 04:17 talking very loudly as they went to their room.

Staff were very friendly ans helpful. Rooms were dated and very basic. Also I arrived an hour early and couldn't check in without paying £10. Come on Ibis you're in the dark ages.

« the room was functional, but tired »

leak in bathroom plumbing, making the carpet outside the bathroom door damp. Toilet cistern took a long time to refill. main heating was non-operational, but a plug-in heater had been provided. Decoration was tired, due for updating. Fruit salad at breakfast bar was tinned not fresh.

Checking in was easy, the staff were lovely and the newly refurbished room was very clean and comfortable. What I am extremely upset about is the fact that before checking in no one contacted me to tell me that there was refurbishments taking place and that they started at 8am !!! I was informed upon arrival at which point it’s really too late for me to cancel my booking and find somewhere else !! The noise the following morning was horrendous as the workmen were removing a whole bathroom from the room next door. Surely an email or phone call to warn me and give me a chance to cancel my booking.
