We enjoyed our stay, however our heating wasnt working very well, we were only given 2 cups and we would have liked cutlery, sharp knives etc. The staff however were excellent, and tried their best to help.

We love staying at Mercure Treasury. We consider it our holiday home. From assistant manager David on our first visit, to every staff member since, we have unfailingly only dealt with helpful & friendly staff who genuinely want to assist in making our visit everything we want. Housekeeping smile & greet us in the hallways, leaving our room spotless & inviting. Breakfast each morning was a great reason to get up each day despite being sick on my most recent stay. I even availed myself of the bar/sitting area when I needed a change of scene, but was unable to leave the premises. We stayed here when we got married & again this year for our third anniversary. Both times staff went the extra mile to make our visit even more special. In Melbourne this is the only place we would ever stay. Thank you.

« Booking experience was awful but the stay was very good. »

As an Accor Vacation Club member, I decided to try out the new scheme of turning my Accor points into travel dollars, but when I booked on line, the confirmation email came back with the wrong dates - so it took me over 48 hours of constant phoning and speaking to different people to eventually receive an email that confirmed my booking for the correct dates. My booking with Accor had gone through a 3rd party (Expedia) which I was unaware of and they were not contactable. When we got to the hotel our room was not available - eventually a very kind Night Manager made up a room for us with the two single beds that we had requested. The next day the Duty Manager, Kelly organised an upgrade which was great. Then on our last day we were phoned as to why we had not checked out (obviously the booking had not been changed to the correct dates) Kelly kindly helped us, but the whole experience was stressful and tiring. I will never book that way again. I was however, pleased with the Mercure as your hotel staff are very friendly and professional except for the male Duty Manager on our arrival date (4th July) who lost our booking. The little bar was very neat and I don't know about the restaurant as I did not eat there. The rooms are a little tired and on our penultimate night a workman started drilling above us at 7am which was not good.

We had a lovely experience staying with Mercure on Treasury. The buffet breakfast was simply amazing. We came from country Victoria and chose to stay here as it is central to everything. Walking distance to MCG, Regent Theater and the Casino...met our needs.

For a quick stay it was good value and a pleasant stay. The staff are good, the room fine. Good breakfast. The restaurant closes quite early and there was no bar food (about 9.30pm).

This is a comfortable hotel in a good location. The food and staff are excellent. Great value for money. The location is close to public transport, gardens, theatres and the MCG. Happy hour each day is also great and very popular.

« Comfortable room but very small. »

Reception staff friendly. Must make a comment about a lady called Anne Marie in the bar. Her service and friendly smile were excellent. Such a lovely helpful lady. If I was to come back to this hotel it would be because of her. Not very happy with the breakfast or the staff at the time. Tables not cleared and food was not very hot. Asked for fried eggs and had to wait for the waiter to take ice to the bar before he could assist me. Also paid for an upgrade to have the balcony room but couldn't walk out on it because of the broken up surface on the ground. Very disappointing.

« VERY CONVENIENT HOTEL TO STAY IN »

I chose this hotel mainly because of the price. However, I found it to be a really great hotel to stay in. Most of my business was in the Brunswick, Fitzroy and Abbotsford areas of Melbourne. This was the perfect place to stay to have easy access to trams travelling to these areas, as well as the CBD, Southern Cross Station, Docklands and St Kilda. I was very impressed with my room, over looking one of Melbourne's beautiful parks. Breakfast was simple, but nice and the dinner, snacks and drinks menu was good as well.

« Booking process is not clear enough »

I have given a 5 purely based on the booking system and is not a reflection of the hotel or staff. I booked a day use room for 3 hours which states on the website that you can check in between 3pm and 6pm and must check out by 9pm. I put my arrival time as 4pm and it said you must check in within 30 mins of this otherwise your booking may be cancelled. So we arrived at 4.30 and I assumed that meant that we could check out by 7.30pm. We received a phone call shortly after 7 to say we were meant to vacate the room by 6pm. We quickly got our things and went down to reception but it was very rushed and not a pleasant experience. The staff were fantastic and completely understood the misunderstanding when I showed them the booking email as it is not clear at all that you would need to depart at 6pm. (It says 9pm!) The experience of the staff and hotel were great but the booking system needs to be made much clearer. I was very stressed upon departure!
