« Not up to Sofitel standards »

a few days before arriving at your hotel we stayed at the Sofitel Hanoi. An amazing hotel. Unfortunately, the Sofitel Saigon did NOT meet the same standards. The air conditioning did not work well in the room, the food service was very slow, most of the staff were NOT very helpful. We are frequent Sofitel guests - in our opinion the Sofitel Saigon does not meet the quality of many Sofitel properties.

The staff is unfriendly for the price of the room being paid for. There is not much of option for food at night. They don’t serve wine/ drinks ( like orange juice or canned drinks) after 10pm. The room is small

Room is neat & clean. location wise is very good, very near to major shopping center. However, as a loyalty Gold member, i do not receive the "unique experiences". My room was not upgrade and upon checking in the booking system, there are actually room available. Breakfast was not even offered to me. I been to other Accor hotels, i never had this experiences. I sincerely hope they give priority to loyal members.

Room service was one of the best I have experienced. Accessing services by dialling "2" from the room phone was a great idea (instead of having to look up F&B, house keeping, concierge, etc.). More hotels should have this setup. Just one minor suggestion for the check-out process. For most business travellers, it is good to have the guest's company name printed on the bill. You might want to consider capturing / confirming this information during check-in.

We enjoyed our stay and were given an upgrade and use of the Club Lounge. The staff in the Club Lounge were very friendly and professional at all times. However, the French restaurant, L’Olivier , was somewhat disappointing and not recommended. Excellent staff at reception and the duty manager very helpful. Overall, my wife and I fully recommend the hotel to other tourists.

Service excellent. very noisy renovations occurring on Tuesday I think right next door to our room for Sofitel lounge. Staff service was excellent however I doubt we would've stayed there if we knew there would be drilling for a considerable part of the day.
