« Warm welcome, comfortable bed and perfect location »

We enjoyed our stay in Sofitel Saigon. Despite arriving early, they let us have the room. We appreciated it very much as my husband had a meeting in the early afternoon, and he would like to go to the room to take a shower and change clothes. Staff in Sofitel Saigon were very helpful and accommodating. The check-in was efficient. We had an elegant room with comfortable bed and pillows. There were enough sockets in the room for laptop and iPhone etc.. The room also had very good bedside reading lamps so that we could read before going to sleep. Bathroom had all the quality toiletries you would expect. The negative is that the sink was a bit worn out but clean. Most important is that we slept well in this hotel. The hotel is near most of the attractions and good restaurants in the city. We will come back if we visit Ho Chi Minh City next time.

The staff were professional and friendly. However the charge for airport shuttle was exorbitant. 1,600,000 each way, but then again most items at this hotel are overpriced for Vietnam. Although I found the room rate reasonable. I booked hotel thru hotels.com and on the facts about this hotel it states airport shuttle is 1,100,000 each way, which for ease of use our party was acceptable. The hotel however insisted that rate was if you book the shuttle thru the hotel.com website and it is their shuttle. This is ridiculous and I explained this to them. I provided them with screenshot of the hotels.com info. Also being silver Accor not sure what the “gift” in the room was, and never asked. There was some stale pastry sitting there, 1 Perrier and no spoon for the thing in the glass, pudding maybe? Night turndown, they set up 1 set of slippers and 1 chocolate although there were 2 of us. Breakfast was great, pool was fine. Nice having free shuttle to market

Very comfortable room with great service from the Club Lounge. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The services provided by the staff from the Club Lounge were wonderful, particularly, Trang and Nha, both of them were so customer-focused, friendly, cheerful and responsible. The team was good, showing strong team work, this is important to the customers, all working as a team, well trained and well done!

Overall stay is ok, I feel comfortable and most importantly is clean, hygiene is very good; however the room is a bit tight space especially in 2 beds inside is the same space of the room in 1 bed. People who stay in Hotel should have a relaxing view that comes with a bigger space. Breakfast is ok but suggest you should bring variety at least 30% of the total offered.

Experience was not positive. Check-in was unpleasant due to unfriendly staff who checked our party of 4 in. Room was worn and in serious due for update. Toiletries were not available such as shower gel, we got multiple shampoos instead. Easily fix though. The major issue was the the room smelled. The bathroom had this unpleasant odor coming from the drains that made me nauseous during all hours of day. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so switching to another room was not possible. Concierge staff and porter staff were very pleasant and friendly but it seems like check-in staff and this one guy in a suit, not sure if he was a manager or not who decided that he would assist me while I was waiting for the concierge was terribly unpleasant and dismissive. This person ask what I needed help with and when it took me a bit to look up information to provide he was extremely condescending, short, and dismissive. Rude is an understatement and the way I felt he treated me as a guest who is staying at the property. Overall, I would not stay here again due to the inconsistency in service and poor quality rooms considering Sofitel purports itself to be a 5 star hotel.

My stay was short and I did not spend a lot of time at the hotel. Being offered use of the club floor was a nice touch although I only used it very briefly. Wine and Cheese snacks were a nice touch too.

-Really great staff, very friendly and helpful (10/10) -Loved the breakfast buffet especially the Pho, Vietnamese coffee, dim sum, and tropical fruits -The rooms were very outdated, the electrical sockets did not work well, the bed was uncomfortable, bathroom was not nice as compared to other 5 star hotels.
