« Yet another excellent stay at Ibis Thornleigh »

Once again we stayed at the Ibis Thornleigh for two nights, both of which were very comfortable. The room was ready when we arrived approximately 1.30 pm and car parking plentiful. Staff, as usual were expecting us and greeted us warmly.

It’s always a pleasure to return to Mercure Sydney. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and our room was very clean with all the necessary amenities. The hotel is situated in a good location, just a short walk from Central station. We are looking forward to our next stay there.

« Great spot, handy to station and CBD »

Having stayed at the Mecure before I knew what to expect. Having stayed at a number of "budget" hotels overseas last year I was waiting for the no service model. But no, I was greeted with a "hello, how can I help you?" and during checkin asked if I had stayed there before. When I confirmed I had, I was asked was there anything I needed a refresher on, where the gym was, bar, breakfast. Check out was the same, it was nice to be asked about my stay by people that wanted to know. The room (a standard room) was big, huge king bed, full size bathroom. The only thing I missed was a toothbrush kit (yes I only had carry on and forgot to pack one). But there is a supermarket down the road, and a small store onsite. Would I stay there again - yes. Price was great for Sydney which has become more expensive than London or NYC, location is fine. Ok you dont have a harbour view - but go for a walk and see it :-)

« Excellent but the toilet is too close to the paper rolls or maybe reposition the toilet paper »

Our experience with Mercure Sydney was a most enjoyable stay from booking the rooms to the check out all areas were excellent. The girl on the desk when we arrived was cheerful and happy and even shared some French words with our daughter who is trying to learn French she then arranged the campaign and macaroons to be in the room Avery nice touch and most appreciate as it was my partners birthday. We then had dinner at the restaurant in house where the staff were so accomodating and once again very happy and pleasant again they went that little bit extra as they had been told about my parteners birthday. In all the staff at the motel would be the best I have encountered for a long time as with all business your staff are your road to success.

« Lovely hotel in a very convenient location, with very helpful staff! »

The hotel has amazingly comfortable beds in very pleasant rooms. There is a bar with yummy eats as well as a more formal restaurant. Public transport is right at the door, or it is just a pleasant walk into town. But best of all is that the staff are so friendly and helpful!

Stuck in lift twice. Staff seemed not to believe when advised. Later, lift put out of order. Night staff seemed annoyed at request for pillows as had to deliver. We didn’t realise asking so late would mean night desk staff would have to deliver. Breakfast, beautiful.

Once again we couldn't fault our recent stay at the Mercure Sydney. From the welcoming check-in experience to the eventual check-out, everything was smooth sailing.
