The hotel is booked for renovations and not before time. As usual for Accor properties the staff were very cordial and welcoming. They were however hampered by the age and decor of the hotel. The location was convenient being minutes from Central Station and easy walking distance of China town.

So appreciative to get an early checkin after a red eye flight from Japan. Unfortunately at present major hotel renovations are being undertaken. So instead of getting sleep had to move rooms. I asked at checkin when advised of renovations if room would be quiet as we needed sleep. Was all sorted quickly but should have been a suitable room when we checked in or advised to wait. Have always found Mercure Sydney go extra mile for their guests. Hoping price of accommodation does not become too expensive after the major renovations as is our go to hotel in Sydney

Had to que for 10 min to book in and when we got to our room it wasn’t the room type we booked, rang reception and they said we will send someone up with the new room card, we waited 15 minutes then went down to reception and qued up for another 10 minutes finally got our room and enjoyed our stay

Hi, as usual my stay at the Mecure Sydney was a great experience. the staff you have there are a credit to your company and are truly nice people to deal with. They are always knowledgeable, very courteous and extremely obliging. All the staff make staying at the hotel truly enjoyable. The buffet breakfast is a truly memorable feast and the service is second to none. The only things that I would like to point out, (and this is not a complaint) were the toilet seat was not fitted properly and moved when you sat on it and the bath room tiles looked very tired. I would definitely stay there again.

Came with family of 4. The room was smaller than other hotels we stayed but it served its purpose. Comfy bed and very clean room. Raining the whole weekend so kids spend their time at the pool and sauna. Pool needs to be updated as it’s seen better days. The breakfast spread was good and I liked that they changed a couple of the dishes the next day. Overall it was good hotel close to everything and we will come back again.
