We were looking forward to a four night stay at the La Regina (full service hotel) to conclude our week of travel in France and explore the Basque region. We were hoping to do our laundry but unfortunately, the cost of laundry service was prohibitive. How could it be that the cost to launder t-shirts/underwear was 20E PER PIECE? Is each piece washed individually? It would be cheaper to buy new than do laundry. We were told by staff that it was outside service but seems like opportunity for hotel to negotiate with vendor to improve customer service.

Everything other than the dining experience was fine. Dinner was not very good and the wait staff was slow and disinterested. They made several mistakes with our orders, neglected to bring something I asked for three times, and did not seem to care. I would not eat there again!

Our experience was very good but we were let down a little by a flicking light in our room all night which wasn’t able to be fixed and we had to ask again twice the next day for it to be sorted out. We were also disappointed that the chef flatly refused to make a hot meal for our one year old son before 7:30pm even something very simple like a pasta dish

Upon arrival, after 8 hours drive, the trainee at reception desk argued that there were no rooms with terrace in this hotel, despite their written confirmation. A trainee should never be alone to "welcome" customers as the first contact is the most important. Three of us stayed one week with a final bill near 10 000 €, the general manager must be petty minded to ask 12 € for a cheap cotton bag ! She is very stingy !

Being Platinum I always receive Apart of the welcome drink and something else ( chocolate bar) an UPGRADE and some particular recognition. In my last 15/20 trips to an Accord hotel this is the first time that I didn’t receive NOTHING that make feel SPECIAL . Also my friends who reserved trough EXPEDIA got a nicer room and better rate.

As soon as you enter the hotel you can feel that this is going to be a unique time there. Room is really quiet despite it opens directly on the widely opened hotel center. It is also large and greatly prepared. Anyone is really kind and we had a great service experience from service desk, to the bar, the concierge and the restaurant. The food served at the restaurant is also really nice. This was really an amazing experience I highly recommend.

The hotel is beautiful, nice decor and very well decorated common areas. The food at breakfast was delicious and very varied, we could choose from a range of products and we enjoyed that. The structure of the hotel is deficient in a few points. We found the pool quite small, the area for the sun beds is very small as well - but there isnt much you can do about it. The gym area is EXTREMELY small and poorly equiped, it did not look like a gym of a 5 stars hotel. You really need to improve it. The service of the hotel was deficient as well. We felt the waiters were all poorly trained. The reception and concierge were all super nice but their service was also poor. Ive asked concierge to make a reservation at a restaurant in Bayone and a few days later to confirm it. They did it but they forgot to let me know the restaurant was going to be closed and they confirmed reservation was made. So we went to Bayone to have lunch there and found the restaurant closed. The hotel would highly benefit from a shuttle service to city centre. The pool bar is never open and there is never anyone there. We wanted to badly to have drinks at the pool and food but we had to go to a small phone to call the bar and then wait for them to come. We just didnt bother... We believe the hotel is good, for a 4 stars. You guys have to earn better that fifth star...
