« Lovely hotel with great amenities and very comfortable rooms. »

The hotel offers great views and wonderful rooms. My friend and I enjoyed having wine as we overlooked the pool and ocean. We would have liked to have dined at the restaurant but the seatings were full. We had a lovely hamburger at the bar instead.

« Interesting, generally relaxing but many similar procedures with varying competence of providers. »

The service of the staff was excellent, especially in the restaurant. The food was good, though with staying a week a little variation in the lunch and dinner menu would have been appreciated. The facilities were nice, including the room. In the spa, there were two providers that were especially accomplished and professional that warrant mention: Delphine at Espace Beaute on level -2 and Alex for Deep Tissue Massage on level -3.

Location is great. Price point is good. Room size was good and friendly staff. Exterior is dated, needs to be cleaned and painted, tiles on balcony cracked. Overall a dated look and feel. Gym equipment is average, gets very hot in gym.

Although we had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel, and the staff were helpful and pleasant, we thought the hotel was shabby and tired and needs updating. The bathroom should have had a separate shower. The poolside beds were very basic and therefore not particularly comfortable. We only had breakfast which was excellent.

A truly luxury experience without being over the top. Perfect location with lovely views from our room.Excellent service overall, despite having to wait 5 hours after the promised check in time before being fully able to use our room. Drinks very expensive both in bar and at poolside. Our bed was not very comfortable this time, whereas on previous vi to same hotel our bed was exceptionally comfortable.

« Restful visit in beautiful surroundings with superb facilities and agreeable staff »

This is a super hotel. Our one gripe is that the restaurant does not match the elegance of its surroundings and the variety and sometimes quality of the food is found wanting . For a stay of more than a few days the menu, which is changed only monthly offers too few choices. The presentation is mostly excellent but the consistency is not what should be expected in a hotel of this class. Several of our meals lacked expertise and finesse. We have stayed at least twice before when the dining room and the food both deserved Michelin recognition so we were rather disappointed. The room servicing, though good, seemed some days to be overwhelmed in that the room was not done until late afternoon.

« Some Aspects of Service Sadly Missing »

The front desk were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they worked hard to resolve the issues we encountered. We weren’t given the room upgrade we asked for simply because the hotel was full but that’s not really an issue. We were given a delicious cake on arrival, the room was always clean when we returned etc. We had issues with the following. 1. A deep tissue massage my partner had booked was not in fact a deep tissue massage. At €130 it should have been a thorough deep tissue massage not a swathe of oil and some light rubbing. The front desk tried to resolve this for us but the authority on the matter was the Spa manager who was only interested in offering a “Sea Weed Wrap” rather than the refund we would expect. We were offered a derisory 10% refund which doesn’t address the matter 2. The front desk gave us the voucher for a welcome drink. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy this as the main bar was seldom staffed, and the bar staff at the pool bar would not accept the voucher 3. We needed to leave a plastic card in the socket in the room in order for our electronic devices to charge. One evening we left a driving licence in the socket while we were at dinner. We returned to find that a member of staff had taken it. Again the front desk worked hard and effectively to resolve the situation and we were given a letter of apology but it was an unnecessary stressor in the first place. This was our third visit to this hotel and we have never before had such an experience there.

Hotel in an excellent location however interior was dated and in need of upgrade. Staff all excellent and very friendly however on three occasions room was opened by staff while we were still in bed - with do not disturb sign on door. Food and drink all excellent.
