Its certainly not a luxury hotel by any standard, more of a low budget backpackers type of hotel. Clean but not my type. The impression l got on line was way different from what was real.

The staff do an excellent job, they are good team. They make things easy for the guests.

I booked one night with the intention of extending my stay for another 2 days. I used my mobile phone to book my stay and some how selected the wrong date, when I received the confirmation email I immediately called (12 hours later) to inform the hotel that I had selected the Monday however I was coming on the Friday. I was told that my booking was non modifiable. Your website however states no cancelations. The gentleman said I should come through and they will help me. When getting to check in I was told again that my booking was non modifiable, I explained that I had called the hotel to inform them of the change. I was then told by the front dest that "you should really be more careful when selecting your dates in future". Needless to say I checked out the next morning and went to a different hotel. I stayed at Ibis in Casablanca the following weekend and the service was fantastic.

Actually, all was good except that i booked the room with my friend but in the room we had only one soap, one shampoo and one towel for hands which was really annoying for both of us

Well, basically I was exhausted at the day of arrival in the hotel but unfortunately, Mr. Abdulsamed hope I write his name correctly. He was very cooperative and helpful upon my arrival time. I stayed at different Ibis hotels in Europe and Morocco. The room I was given at Ibis Gare Marrakech was worn out and not really clean. I was there for one night only. If I were to stay another night I would've asked for a different room or changed to another hotel.

No towels in our room, security man asleep when we left.

There were no towels in our room I phoned reception and requested some, none arrived so I went to reception and asked again, then just 2 shower towels arrived - no hand towels or floor mat. When we left at 6.40 the security man in reception was asleep!

The first problem was with the room air conditioner which was not working in a good way. The 2nd one is the road noise; i couldn’t sleep because of it which means that there’s no strong window insulation, especially in the 3rd floor. The 3rd one was the low quality of breakfast...

This hotel was absolutely perfect. Location is excellent right next to train station however you use the bus to get to the main town. Staff are incredible, they couldn't do enough for us! Upon arrival we paid extra for a suite room as the other rooms weren't very nice. The pool is lovely too.

room 218 is disaster and they lost our laundry

we stayed 2 nights in the room 218 it was disaster. ac was not working properly. furniture was broken. room was dirty and door to balcony was not closing properly. we stayed in the room 214 1 night. it was smelling newly painted. i would leave the hotel as soon as see the room if it was not pre paid. also there was not loundry bag in the room so receptionist told us just give the loundry to him, they would count and take care of them. but while we would get back the loundry we had hurry to catch thw train so we could not count them. when we arrived to casablanca, noticed that some loundry were miasing. ( 1 pants and 3 shirts) i called the hotel around 15 times and they could not find it. also several times they told me they would call me back but never called me back. I still can not believe it was an IBIS hotel. I stayed in IBIS hotel more than 15 countries in many cities and never seen an IBIS like that.

The reception and staff were very pleasant. However the air-conditioning in the room (317, I believe) was not really working and so we had to change rooms to 325 where it did work but only barely enough to be noticeable. Although I understand Marrakesh is a hot place and often somewhat humid, I don't expect to be lying naked on top of the bed sweating and unable to sleep if the air-con is turned up to maximum ( or rather, turned down to maximum cold). This is unacceptable in a modern hotel building, the room is small so it should be easily enough to affect change adequately and I can only conclude there was a technical fault. Usually these things may not be so important but the day before an early start for a long journey - my partner left on a 16 hour flight - we were hoping for decent rest. I'm very sorry to have to tell you this, but we booked the hotel for the SOLE purpose of air-conditioned rest which was hardly the case. I also carefully paid more for a 'suite room' (note the correct spelling: on the website it is written incorrectly as 'sweet') and although I already knew there is barely a difference, that it is only decor, I did so to maximise our comfort, but that was unfortunately not the case. Also, the bedside power socket in the first room didn't appear to be working. Also the bathroom floods when using the shower because the water drips off the door on to the step which needs a ledge or a bevel to stop it running on to the floor of the room. These last two things are minor though compared to the inadequate state of the air-con. In all other respects our stay was fine and as I said the staff seemed attentive and welcoming.
