« So so »

Well good welcoming until we went out of TV and interet all evening and morning after. When checking out people were more focused on how to repair onternet then offering a discount or asking for our client experience. A pity since I usually have very good experiences with Accorhotel group.

« More than adequate »

Around gare de l'est is not a place to pick for a postcard pretty stay in Paris, but for one overnight stay in-between trains it's perfect. Very nicely kept little hotel, impeccable rooms, good WiFi and helpful staff. The ' handy' device with Internet access which you can take round with you was a great idea if your own phone doesn't allow roaming.

« Was a good stay till.... »

Hi, I stayed 2 nights last week, 25th and 28th. I made both reservations like 3-4 weeks ago. While leaving on 25th, I told the receptionist that I'm coming back in 3 nights and if possible don't want to do the same bureaucratic things. He said he sees my reservation and took a note. On the noon time of 28th, I got a call from a hotel lady saying your systems had a problem since one month and overbooked and I can't stay there for the night. I was in a meeting, I booked your hotel just for TGV reasons, I planned to come at midnight by TGV and also leave at 7am with TGV, so it didn't make sense to book a far hotel. On top, I confirmed my reservation a few times. How can you say your system is not working for 1 month and call on the stay day??? I was so angry, I started to look hotels by myself. 1 hr later I called, another guy picked up. He said he'll talk with his manager. and then I got a mail aying I can stay because some customers cancelled which is unlikely to believe. It cost me time, several calls and a lot of stress.

« Served it’s purpose but can definitely be described as budget. »

Location was fabulous, just around corner from Gare du l’est station. Hotel room was the smallest it could be. Difficult to walk around bed. Very minimal. However bathroom was good size.

« Good location »

Staff was not friendly when we arrived in the evening the reception gave us the key room and that’s, small room, in the bathroom the floor surface was not completely covered by tiles. Good location, close the station and underground.

« Excellent Stay »

The hotel is located right beside Gare D'lest station, very convenient for commuting. Lots of restaurant nearby. Rooms are small but well appointed. The front desk service was amazing. Price is little bit high. Excellent wifi in the room. Very clean hotel with all non smoking rooms. Highly recommend for stay with children.

« Convenient location but marred by renovation work on the stairs »

We found the location very convenient to the Gare du Nord and the canal and local park. The breakfast was also good. However, our whole experience was marred by the renovation work on the stairs on the morning we were checking out. We needed to catch our train at the Gare du Nord. We tried the lift, only to find it taking too long to come. We opted to use the stairs however, at 10am, the stairs by our floor had been taken over by workmen ripping up the flooring and re-laying floor. We tried the lift again - so many times the doors opened to a full lift (no room left) taking people down to breakfast on the 1st floor or going back up to take people to the other floors. After being very patient, we had no option but to go down the stairs. I add that I am 7 months pregnant and we had our 2 year old son with us and lots of bags. I had to tip-toe over workman tools and walked through some sticky glue where they were laying the floor. We had to rush to our train in the end which was not good. Overall a very bad experience to an otherwise uneventful stay. I would suggest in future that if work is carried out on the stairs, it is done in the afternoon or evening - when fewer people are trying to check-out or use the 1st floor restaurant. The lift supply is not sufficient to cope with the stairs not being used.

« Friendly staff, good size room, close to train station »

The hotel's name is not kidding, just a block from the train station, but also within 10 min walking to Gare du Nord as well for those heading to CDG like me, or the Eurostar to London. The check in staff was friendly and the room is great size for Paris. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining room was big. Minor details that may need improvement: carpet on stairs falling apart and the quality of the towels in bathroom is not good.

« Good Hotel, Needs More Investment »

We had numerous problems for our overall positive stay. The thermostat did not work upon arrival. The electronic shutters broke on our 2nd night in both rooms. The USB outlet was broken the 2nd night. We contacted the night manager about the shutters and he was unable to help. He did provide sheets to help block the light. The mattress was a bit old and not flat enough for full sleep.

« Worth the price »

Overall worth the cost. First impressions were not great, no receptionist when we arrived, had to wait 10 minutes before she appeared and she was a bit rude and dismissive. The works in thr stairwell produced a headache inducing glue smell next to our room. We asked for some more towels as we had two small ones in our room, was given one extra at the front desk and told they would send more up later but they never appeared. The rest of the stay was better, the staff put roses and a small ibis gift in the room for my birthday, the breakfast was good and the rest of the staff we interacted with were lovely.

« Comfortable convenient good value, what we expect from IBIS Hotels »

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff were helpful. However every time we returned to our room the key cards did not work. Each day at least one card was reprogrammed or replaced, this was quite annoying.

Close to Gare de l'Est, Kind staff, convenient location. Bus and Metro are close. Congress center is about 40 minutes by Metro, Check-in Check-out process was fast and convenient. normal Breakfast, Reasonable in overall

« Disappointment with the quality of services »

I was quite disappointed with the quality of this hotel, by the fact that the room was not ready at the time of our arrival at hotel. In fact, the room was busy and had to wait for almost two hours after thorough cleaning
