Noteworthy this visit was the tall gym boy - he ensures my bike is ready to go when I come down for my 1 hour ride. Each day someone was on the bike "fooling around looking at their phone" and he asked them to swtich to the other bike so I wouldn't waste time. I commend the breakfast staff for getting my usual breakfast plate when Lintang is not working. I bet she instructed the other staff what to do. I commend my room boy for checking with me to ensure he did a thorough job with room 1105. I commend the front desk staff for allowing me to check in and out in minutes. I'm concerned with the smoke in the bar area. The hotel staff get this secondhand smoke daily. When I stop by to get ice, the smoke can be overwhelming. I've witnessed 5-10 people smoking at one time and a smoke cloud overhanging the area.

I was stayed in mercure jakarta kota almost 3 weeks. And i expect that it will be a great experience to stay here and get comfort for living here in 4 stars hotel of accor group. But there are several things that i concern. 1. I don't got a warm service from almost all staff in every outlet. But sometimes some of the housekeeping was greet us when they see me. 2. I think it will be great if they prepare a welcome drink for me. 3. We can't ask for more complimentary water. And if i ask for more than it will be charge and it's vvery disappointing for a long stay guest like me. 4. There's just have less electrical socket in my room.

I had a good stay at Mercure Jakarta Kota. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Check-in process was fast. The room ambience was nice and certainly value for money. The bed was comfortable. Nicely located. A mall is just across the street to spend time over a movie but the mall seems to be still under renovation and virtually empty.

My one wish: make this a smoke free hotel. All the "green" initiatives in the world are not as important as clean air. It is almost comical how many local people smoke. I feel like I am being transported back in time to 50 years ago before anyone knew the dangers of smoking.
