Hotel was very nice, Comfortable beds and we enjoyed staying there. As a suggestion you might consider offering a daily shuttle bus into town (as a way of getting up the hill) and install fans in the bathroom

it was a soothing and relaxing trip down in Wellington, thanks to the great deal offered from AccorHotels. Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 3 nights from 2nd of Nov to the 5th, the staff were really friendly and professional (Especially Sian, being really helpful with what we requested.) Even though the hotel isn’t locate at one of the best spots in city and the overall size of the hotel isn’t that big. (Compared to other AccorHotels we had stayed). However, the hotel is clean and well-presented, staff were well-trained and the leisure facilities (gym and pool) are well-maintained. We were really satisfied with the service that Grand Mercure Wellington offered, highly recommended!

I just dont understand why you would put one of your members (me) opposite the lifts so I had to listen to all the people leaving the hotel early every morning. Just does not make sense.

Enjoyable, comfortable, convenient location and excellent staff/service, made to feel very welcome. Found the desk chair in the room inconvenient as it is the wrong shape for a small room and gets in the way all the time. Otherwise my wife and I had no problems and will stay again

Copied from Trip Advisor- "We got to the hotel and outside it looks amazing. We paid a significant sum for king bed deluxe, bathroom was small, could only fit 1 person in it at a time, the layout wasn't great. Used wine glass was left in the draw with stains was noticed in the first 5 minutes of us arriving. The noise from the hallway and next door was loud and could hear people talking until 1am so couldn't sleep. Tried to call housekeeping several times to get a new pillow and no answer so went to reception to get this actioned. Was disappointed as we were expecting a lot more for what we paid" Also want to note that when we left in the morning of our stay, housekeeping was next door cleaning the room so I put the please make the room sign on assuming our room would be done when we come back. When we got back to our room around 3:30pm to 4pm, our room was just getting made. My wife (who is in the early stages of pregnancy) wanted to have a nap, but we had to go to the bar and wait for another 30 min until room was cleaned. The reception staff were all very friendly and Waseem was very helpful when we arrived. Hotel was decorated amazingly and was blown away by how it looks. My thought is for the $900 that we paid (as my wife and I saved a long time for this trip), would have got more and wouldn't have had any noise issues and had a bigger room.

The food was amazing. I had Kawakawa tea. That was so nice. I was even given a few boxes of them. I would like to get more shipped to me (or my friend in New Zealand). The staff were good, location is beautiful. The room was really good. The breakfast was also amazing. I wished if I could have had more time to spend.

Great room with a view on the 8th floor, friendly and helpful staff, with a short-ish walk to loads of bars and restaurants - although the return uphill walk can be a challenge at the end of a tiring day. The $1 breakfast deal was a great start to every day, grab it if you can!

Was great experience as soon as we walked through the door. Reception check was easy and the staff helped us. Room service was great. We mainly chose Mercure as it had a pool and gym. Equipment was new and well looked after. I would come here again!
