Somehow I managed to swing an upgrade to one of the suites, so it was a very nice stay. Nespresso machine in the room, and a fridge to keep the things I bought at Monoprix cold. The team was very nice, and allowed me to practice my French at check in and check out... The gym is good, but small, and requires your key card to keep the lights on. Breakfast was great, and the breakfast room wasn’t crowded at 7am (first day) or 8am (second day). Highly recommended.

I had a great experience at Hôtel Mercure Nantes. The hotel provides us with a good choice of food at breakfast and a gym that I could use freely. I have also appreciated the welcoming staff, I especially thank the receptionist at night who is very nice, welcoming and professional. Thank you.

The hotel communal areas are all very nice, and the location is perfect. I was given a complementary upgrade which is always nice, however the room I was given (342) has been decorated by a local artist, in what I can only describe as a hallucinating neon rave style, from floor and across the ceiling. It certainly was not a relaxing room to be in. Having "googled" the artist, I can see that all of her works of art are similar, and would look great as a picture on the wall, as a feature point, but certainly not covering every wall and ceiling.
