Pleasant and efficient staff, check was very easy and same for checkout. Dining room was closed but the reception provided recommendations as to where we could eat close by or in La Defense. I found the stay to be of a very high standard of Customer Experience

Excellent check in from Simon, helped me get an iron for the room. Room was a premier one but quite surprised to find towels on the floor of the bathroom on entry of my room 212. The iron whilst a godsend was a pain because the board was not a self standing one so ironing is not easy. The bar and breakfast area was ok but shabby. Staff were all excellent

Convenient for business. Friendly helpful staff. Main services being rebuilt. Room in annex building worn out, but clean. Elevators made me nervous - jerky ride and one of my colleagues stuck in elevator for 1/2 hour.

The new rooms are brilliant, if you are lucky enough not to land in the appartment building. I assume the second bilding will soon be renovated as well which is much needed.

Very convenient location, super clean, generous complimentary drinks. Mum slept without her skeeping pills! She loved the beddings. Would come back next trip!!

« Bad service and noisy »

The reception Service from Wednesday was ironic, not well attended and he did not book the taxi for the day after as requested in the night. So I arrived late to the Meeting, a part of the traffic jam. The taxi came 25min. later than the requested one. In the room I could heard some building works during the night. so not at all Relaxing.

My fault as I should have looked at the address and map but I saw the name La Defense Grande Arche and my office is close by and so I booked. However, it is a mile away in Nanterre. The hotel is undergoing renovation and my room was one that had been refurbished. It was clean and bright and the bed was comfortable. I could only spot 2 sockets available to recharge laptop etc. The shower was one of those big headed ones where the water just drops. I love them. However, the soap was a squeezy bottle. I think individual portions show a bit more class. The hotel is located above the RER station and you can hear the trains coming and going (although I did sleep well). Aim high for peace and quiet. The dining room was shut due to the refurbishment but breakfast was available. Breakfast could do with a bit more supervision. I went for a refill of grapefruit but the carafe was empty. I thought I'd shift to orange but there was none of that either. I was comfortable enough but while this is a good location for Nanterre it is 15 minutes walk back to La Defense.

« crappy room, crappy service »

Hotel was in renovation work, it was not announced at time of booking. lots of noise from 7am, smelly rooms (painting, glue etc...), very strange dirty spots in the bathroom. Only 1 electrical plug next to the bed, in a renovated room, how stupid. On Thursday I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, well someone entered anyhow to remove a chair, I wasn't in the room but realized when coming back, I called the desk who explained me it was a mandatory task to remove that chair on that day... They asked me if I wanted a new one, I said no, then they knocked at my door 2 min later while I still had the "do not disturb" sign on. Very bad service. Final bill was with incomplete address, while I gave complete one at checkin. On last day, I got the invoice around 10am, then my room key was inactive, i had to go down to get it activated again ! Overall a VERY BAD experience, I did not expect much from Mercure, but now I have further confirmation on why Mercure, Ibis etc... have to be avoided at all costs (and most Novotel as well). Accor offers shameful experience.

The room is comfortable with a good soundproofing. Welcome from staff is warm and speedy. The only downside is the noise made by RER, especially at 4th floor and below.

The location is great, just in front of the RER station "Nanterre prefecture", two station from the biggest Paris attractions. I would recommend to book 6th-7th floors in a privilege room, equipped with Nespresso machine and many other extras for the perfect leisure or business stay.

I have already reviewed this hotel with similar grade, but it didn't learned from mistakes. Prices in this hotel are similar to the Pullman, it has really poor quality of rooms and also treats Accor gold members very bad. When I asked if there is a room avalaible for upgrade as per Accor membership rules, I received a bag with 3 cosmetics as a counter - Pathetic
