« Nice stay. »

We enjoyed our stay at the vines, a nice comfortable room. We were disappionted that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening and had to eat in the bar area which was very busy and service slow.

I wanted a peaceful long w/e and I got it. The room though it overlooked the pool was very quiet. I enjoyed some great treatments in the Keisha Spa. The staff were friendly and the food was good.

Enjoyable stay with great facilities for our family including 3 year old.spacious room,comfy beds and beautifully made portacot. Swimming pool was lovely, though spa pool looked like it needed cleaning. Would have loved more loungers in shade rather than table and chairs.

We really enjoyed our stay. We surprised our 8 year old son, he had no idea until we arrived. He was super excited and absolutely loved the pool/spa and the mini golf. Any accommodation that can impress our son is a winner in our books. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was just right (with the two queen beds). The only issues we had were: - A fly in our meal, which was promptly taken away and replaced. - A spider and web above one of the beds. - Fridge in the room is maybe a tad on the small side. Not nearly enough to put us off, and we would definitely return.

Relaxing resort with spotlessly clean rooms, excellent restaurant and fantastic staff. The food was excellent from breakfast to dinner and in between. The Spa was absolutely amazing. Couldn't fault anything!!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here in 3 months with the anticipation of staying another 10 trips (totaling approx 40 nights) this yr. The floor of the room was not cleaned at all during the week as it had bits of grass everywhere from the 1st time I played golf on the 1st day I arrived. One of the staff in the cafe / bar to be honest should not be front of house due to her attitude, talking about rubbish with other staff and worst of all repeatedly burping / hiccuping behind the bar throughout the evening, now if this is a condition that's fair enough but excuse yourself and remove yourself from the venue. The one thing she was interested in getting all customers served and trying to shut the bar up ASAP and then count the tips. Having previously worked in the hospitality industry many years ago this is not a member of staff I would want in front of customers.

The Sebel apartments were beautifully appointed and very comfortable- the room was absolutely lovely! However, we encountered numerous problems with the restaurants. We were staying for two events- our ten year anniversary and a friend’s wedding- and found that our restaurant experiences did not live up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. While your managers were doing a great job, there was a lack of other staff on with experience. At dinner, staff were prioritising clearing tables of departed guests over clearing both our table of two and the table of six next to us, when both of us were waiting on our next courses (as a result, the table of six left instead of ordering dessert). At breakfast, requests for cooked eggs as advertised had to be followed up three times before arriving nearly 20 minutes later after I’d finished the rest of my meal. I’m sorry to say that the full breakfast absolutely is not worth $30 for the service received, and felt as though the hotel was taking advantage of the location and that there were few other options in close proximity open for either dinner or breakfast. There was also a miscommunication regarding the bar opening after the wedding ceremony we attended, and while we were told this was due to someone not turning up for a shift unforeseeably, which definitely puts you as a hotel chain in a difficult position, perhaps checking that the Muscat bar was actually open before directing wedding guests there would have been astute. It took several other guests walking over to the other bar to get this sorted out but this should never have been a problem that guests should have to deal with. I’ve worked hospitality for many years, some of them in hotels, and I’m understanding of how hard it can be when understaffed, but improving the training of your junior staff members would go a long way towards not compounding these issues. Prioritising sitting guests over clearing empty tables should absolutely be a priority, as should following up guest requests (particularly if it’s not the first time a request for follow up has been made) over emptying juice carafes. I found the front of house staff absolutely lovely, and the wedding we attended on the grounds was simply magical. I would stay again at the Novotel Vines, but I would really hope that these issues are addressed in future for a more positive impression of our stay!

« Very pleasant, however as we came with 6 other people we were disappointed the bar wasn't open or Muscats. The food at the cafe was nice though so that was a good experience. »

We like The Vines, our friends did as well but it was a bit of a shame most things weren't open on a Sunday. We would have spent a lot more money if they had been. Breakfast was fine, nice and hot which is rare for a buffet. Two things in our room were not satisfactory, the toilet seat was broken and the handle fell off one of the French doors. We reported it but it's probably still the same right now. We'll try and return on a day when everything is open to enjoy the experience more.

I stayed here for 1 night in order to attend a meeting the next day. Beautiful location with large room and bathroom. I did not have time to explore the lovely gardens due to time pressures. It is amazing how people cope when systems go down - so, I was impressed with how reception had organised the documentation for manual check-in.I was disappointed with the service at breakfast which started 10 minutes late and I had to rush to be ready for my meeting. Also, with the systems down, the person at the breakfast service desk challenged me and others that we had not paid for breakfast - and we had to motivate or show evidence of this on the booking.

Dated property and rude staff. Everything was a battle. They tried to make us pay for breakfast every day when we had pre-paid, our dinner was served by slamming our plates down, the spa organised the wrong treatment for us.
