Our trip to the Swan Valley and visit to the Vines was beautiful. Loved the wineries that we visited. All the restaurants provided excellent meals and service. Our accommodation was also lovely. Our only complaint would be the vertical blinds in our bedrooms were broken and couldn’t be totally closed. And cobwebs. Otherwise perfect

Only negative was a reasonable number or mosquitos in the room when we first arrived and spiders/webs up in the cornices. Other than that the room and estate was lovely. Would have been good if the restaurant was open 7 days, but I understand how that wouldn't be really economical :)

« Expensive and inconvenient »

The facilities and service were good but for older people like us the layout of the resort meant that we had a long walk from room 127 to the reception and restaurant area. My wife was struggling and we actually got lost and felt we were in a maze when we tried to find our way in the evening. Some consideration should be given to room allocation for older people. Also I thought the $252 tariff for one night's accommodation was expensive. We only booked because we had intended to go to a Neil Diamond concert which was cancelled. We booked well in advance and were unable to cancel the booking.

I arrived at the hotel early, after 8am, as I had had a long drive up from Mandurah and was attending an event in the Swan Valley which started at 8.30. I was meeting my 2 sisters at The Vines to leave our cars in the car park and our luggage at the front counter so we could hasten the checkin that evening. My booking had not been registered under my Accor Vacation Club membership so I had to do a credit card checkin and didn’t feel that my welcome was as warm as when I have stayed in other Accor hotels. The process was lengthy and it seemed annoying to the staff to store our luggage for the day. They weren’t busy. When my sisters and I arrived back at the hotel at around 6.30 - 7 that night, we were met with an even more unfriendly staff member. She really seemed like she didnt want to be there and im guessing had had a bad day! My sisters and I were happy and friendly and laughing after a lovely day together at a spiritual event and were disappointed at the attitude of this staff member. She roughly drew directions to our room on a map and handed it to me. I asked her for clarification because she told us we needed to drive our cars, which meant loading all our luggage back in the vehicles. She replied “Just follow the map”. I asked which direction we should go when we turned out of the car park and again she said “Just follow the map!”. I tried again to ask her to explain where we were in relation to where we were heading, again she snapped “Just follow the map!!!!”. My sisters and I headed off to the car park, in the dark, with our luggage, and tried to make sense of where we were going. I have stayed at the Vines before for a 3 day conference so had a bit of an idea of the layout from my walks, but I turned the wrong way after leaving the car park, turned around and then set off. It is mighty hard to drive in the dark, along dark roads, trying to read a map! We made several wrong turns, even turning into someone’s driveway, thinking it was the apartments because they had a lot of lights along their fence and a long circular driveway. Unfortunately we had to turn around as their other gate was shut so 2 cars doing laps around their yard was probably not what the residents were wanting at that time of night. After stopping and trying to read the map by my interior light several times we eventually made it but the experience most certainly put a dampener on our overall experience. I had treated my sisters to a weekend away and they tried to laugh it off but honestly it was a bit traumatic!! We loved the apartment, the facilities are beautiful and the beds were all comfortable. The joy on my sisters faces when they saw the location, the ducks and the kangaroos was so nice.

Great friendly service, wonderfully spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, great family friendly amenities like mini golf, playground, kiddy pool all centrally located as is the hot outdoor spa, chess set and free new on demand movies which were excellently nice touches. What was a big let down was the food in particular breakfast. Our friends had the buffet which consensus estimate that it was a huge let down with limited range, flavourless food and poor quality produce. Our direct experience of the Greenside quick breakfast was even worse and inedible except for the toast as again poor quality produce and grease fat over everything.

The food was excellent, room was neat and clean. The bed was old and very uncomfortable, there was no cable TV only free to air, the movie chanel did not work and when i requested help no one came. very disappointing for a 4 star hotel. As a platinum member we were not even offered a drink on arrival or a room upgrade.

We attended for a wedding and overall our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The staff on the night of the wedding were amazing and very helpful. As you have asked for feedback I do have a couple of points for consideration. I found the cost of the buffet breakfast quite expensive, I wasn't advised that I could request certain items to be cooked specific and one of the staff members in the restaurant at the time was quite rude when asked a couple of questions. After breakfast a few of us went to the pool area to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and surroundings but this was difficult to do as there were maintenance/grounds staff using a leaf blower machine right outside some rooms and right next to the pool area for a good 30min. It happened to be outside of our room where my partner was still trying to sleep as well. This was only at 10am so I feel like it was a little bit too early to be doing those kind of maintenance tasks near guest rooms. Both of the above points did not tarnish our stay and we would definitely stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

Have stayed a few times and really feel the cleaning of windows is neglected and spider webs shouldn’t be in homes and function areas as just makes it feel it’s not cleaned. Beautiful spot but exterior cleaning is neglected, even verandah/ balcony areas, should be swept when house/ apartments are cleaned.

1. Room was dirty and was not prepared for our stay - put us off the ACCOR Hotel group all together. 2. Saff were very unhelpful and did not know much about the local area for restaurants and food outlets. 3. No information about the resort given at the front counter. 4. Four Things: 1/ There was no free WiFi as was an attraction, even if it was for a small GB amount, I approached the reception desk and was later told to ring the 1800 number. Even just for emails useless. 2/ Bathroom door did not close, except for toilet usage not so much of a problem, informed manager the first night, still the same the second night. 3/ When the room was cleaned after the first night all glasses where removed from the room ( as they where used ) except for one bathroom water glass, walked to reception when we arrived back at approx. 4.30 pm still no glasses at 7.00 pm when we went for dinner, reported to the reception desk on the way through and had to go back again at 9.30 pm to get some wine glasses which would have been nice at 4.30 after a wine tour. 4/ We have stayed here before some 15 years ago, sorry but we had none of these problems back then.

As always the our stay was great. The only problem was the lack of consideration by other guest late at night, between 1130 and 430am. I understand we all have late nights but talking loudly and shouting in the foyer area of the apartments echos ten fold when everything else is quiet. Maybe signs should be put up just to remind people that about giving consideration to other quests at an appropriate time. Thank you

« Nice hotel, just let down by loud early morning leaf blowing! »

Great and freindly check-in. Reception staff were very helpful and professional. Being woken up by a gardener with a very loud leaf blower by the pool at 8.15am really was terrible, totally spoilt the relaxing room and was very inconsiderate to anyone trying to sleep at that time. A good grounds manager would know not to instruct staff to do this as it would obviously disturb guests. So unfortunately just based on this, I would not recommend the hotel as somewhere that was pleasant to stay.

We stayed two nights and attended a family wedding. It was very nice indeed. Only thing we could fault was the public area toilets which really needed new seats as quite grotty looking. Everything else was lovely.

Check in was very easy, room was very comfortable and clean except for the ants, which were in the kitchen, but also our bedroom. My side table had them on it and a few in the bed when I woke up. Also there was a slat missing from the blinds in the bedroom, so was woken earlier due to excess light. But overall very good.
