« No WIFI! »

Travelling for business, I was disappointed to realise that the WIFI, although showing on my list of networks, never provided a decent enough bandwidth to let me do my work. I had to use my mobile hotspot generating an extra roaming cost in the end. In 2018, in Paris, I would expect a hotel of your class to be capable to deliver this sort of service without much trouble...

« Underwhelmed with hotel! Not what I thought I would get for my money! »

Pictures online were not we found in real life. Hotel appeared to be run down and for the price I paid I am just honestly gobsmacked. I went up to use the rooftop the only nice thing you actually had and I was kicked out by security ?! There were no signs saying your guests could many use the rooftop so it just seemed absurd! I’m disappointed in everything here.

About the rating about the room, be sure the whole staff, including Nadège, housekeeper, and Jean Michel, technical manager, do their best to maintain our aged rooms. For your information, the hotel will be completely refurbished from november 2018 ! About facilities in the room, indeed we can offer for free irons. You just have to ask to the reception ! Concerning slippers and bathrobes, it is only in Executive rooms; you booked a classic room. The bottle of water is a gift when you arrive and indeed we put a single bottle in all rooms each day. For the bar at the 7th floor i am sorry if during the check in noone told you it was opened from 5pm to midnight. But it is written in all lifts ! If you agree, i can create you a loyalty card Le Club AccorHotels and credit on it 50e to express our apologizes. « Had a great time! »

My wife and I stayed here on holiday. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly, and it’s in a great location. Close to shopping, cafes, and the metro. The rooftop bar was my favorite with a terrific view of the Eiffel Tower. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and strongly recommend.

« Clean hotel and rooms, great breakfast, overall good »

Great breakfast and friendly staff at the breakfast. Clean room and areas. However I would like to mention one thing as feedback, since I also work for Novotel (front desk) When I came to the hotel the first thing the gentleman said: the room is not ready, you can leave your luggage. He didn't check my name or anything. However, I received a message that I could check in after 12 pm and it was 12.30 at the time I came to check in. At the end another colleague called housekeeping and promised that the room will be ready within 5-10 mintues and that she will come to me to give the key. 25 minutes later I was still sitting in the lobby... Went to the desk one more time and finally got my room key. I had a voucher for complimentary bed & breakfast and asked the gentleman several times if he needed this. He said he didn't, but since I also work for Novotel I knew he definitely needed this so I decided not to throw away the voucher. After I checked out and came back later to the hotel to collect my luggage another receptionist requested for the voucher. She told me that the colleague was new and did not know all the procedures yet.. This is not a complain, but just some feedback for the front office, because in the beginning I did not feel welcome at all. Because when the gentlemen would have checked my name in the system he could have seen that I did the online check in (so check in after 12pm) and that I also work for Novotel and know how the procedures work. And secondly, when the other receptionist promised me to bring the key to me, I expect that she will do that. Now I had to wait for 25 more minutes and at the end I collected the key myself Besides the 'bad check in experience' I had a great stay and lovely time in Paris, thank you!

About the delay to get your room i am sorry if housekeepers gave us a wrong delay. I can understand that is a disappointment when someone tells you 10minutes instead of 30 minutes. About the check in time received by message that is a technical mistake because the check in time is 3pm. However, as you can see we tried to satisfy you by offering you a room earlier. i specifically asked not to be on the same floor as a large group of noisy tourists and i ended up with many of them - there was noise in the corridors and i couldn't fall asleep

it was nice being with a nice view. The receptionists were so kind and very professional. the bartenders were also amazing, as well as the room service. The beds are very good. Internet is also very good. However, it was not nice for me to have breakfast : not enough varieties of juices, bread or ham. my room had a hole behind the toilet bowl and a small watter damage in the roof of the bedroom. such things should not be in any of the rooms. for a superior room it was small!

We had a great timein Paris. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very nice. Checking in and out was professional and fast. The Breakfast in terms of composition was good however the logistics where poor. The first day cleaning up was started at 935 so no bread, croissants and meat where available anymore. The room was too small and not clean. At least one of the two coffee machines was out of order creating big cues. The last day at 915 croissant where out. The people working in the room did their utmost to keep things organized. So compliments to them.

We had last been to the hotel 19 years ago! We got an extremely friendly greeting upon our arrival and got our room ahead of regular check-in. Thanks!! We love the neighborhood with great access to the subway, nearby restaurants, a handy market. We booked a superior room which was excellent. We liked the rooftop bar -- a great addition since our last visit many years ago.

As you said, the outside temperature was very high in Paris and even if we respect the French law with our air conditioning system (Inside temperature at least 5 degrees under the outside temperature) I can understand you would have prefered a colder temperature in your room. For your information, the whole hotel will be refurbished from january 2019 and the air conditioning system will be completely changed. However i am glad the staff helped you providing a fane. « 2 Star Hotel with a mistaken identity of 4 star »

We were on a family vacation in Paris. We booked this hotel assuming that its part of the Novotel Hotel Chain and comes under the Accor group hotels. Our whole experience was not at all 4 star ( as this hotel claims to be) rather i would say a better version of a 2 star Hotel. As the time of checking in we noticed that there was no one to assist us with our luggage and a baby pram. Checkin was smooth. The receptionist gave us the keys and completed all other formalities in a min. I ask for some assistance regarding the luggage to my room. I was told that there is no potter in this hotel. So fine we manage ourselves to the room. The room was tiny ( as expected) but the way it is designed,it is ridiculous. Firstly there is a separate toilet and bathroom which is occupying lot extra space in the room. It would have been much more comfortable if the toilet is in the bathroom itself. The major concern was the toilet as it is so tiny that one of my family member could not fit in that toilet room properly. We were devastated and angry. we went to the recepionist again and requested that its a problem for not getting into that toilet room. But the reply we got was " Sorry We can't do anything about it and The hotel is Full". The Housekeeping of the hotel is not upto the mark. There was leakage in the bathroom which got fixed later. The bedsheets are not clean. My son got the skin allergy on his arm. (for more detail and information i can send the pictures of allergies). However there are few good things about this hotel too. They have wide selection of in room tea and coffee. And the small kids area which is in they lobby. and of course the view of Eiffel Tower from the top. The View from the top is also in disguised. As what i was expecting was not there because the terrace was locked. and the only view i could have is from inside area of the top floor. Finally we settled in and just waited for stay to end soon. At the time of checkout I requested for the taxi/cab for the train station. And i got this reply from the receptionist " Sorry we can not book a taxi for you because the website we use to book the taxi have no taxi left." I ask and requested him again that i have lot of luggage and i need the taxi only and they only reply i got is "Sorry I can not help you. and the only option i have is public transport" Can anyone explain me what is the definition of 4 star Hotel ??? There is no potter/ no bell desk / not even any arrangement for private transfer. Is that the staff curtesy ? or the fancy designer beds ? or the swimming pool ? I am sorry but this hotel have got nothing. Sorry But I can not recommend my company and anyone else to stay here. There is lot more to describe about this hotel because i stayed here like a hell but i think its enough of a feedback if you actually value the customer. There is lot of things to work on. Thankyou

About the lack of cleanliness in your room i am really sorry and i just credited you 40€ on your loyalty card Le Club AccorHotels. This is our priority and i am sorry if the room was not cleaned. About the potter i confirm you that in all Novotel hotels in Europe there are no potters. If we have time we can help you but we were completly full and no time at the reception, i am really sorry about it. Moreover, for the two separate rooms for toilet and bathroom i am sorry if you have not liked it buyt in European hotels this is a strength for privacy. Indeed, we prefer having in Europe two separated places. All rooms in our hotels are like this. Finally, for the lack of taxis, there was a strike in Paris and indeed on our th website we use (Parisian taxis) there were no more available taxis ! I am glad you liked the view from the 7th and i will ask again to my colleague Thibault who looks after the 7th floor to let the window opened. « Good location »

Stay was good, staff friendly and check in and check out process was quick and easy. For some reason the toilet was separate to the bathroom, but everything in the room was fine. We'd also requested an iron and ironing board which we used throughout our stay. This came quickly. At breakfast however, it got quite busy at times and we had to wait for a table. Unfortunately on weekdays no fried eggs are available. Breakfast closes at 9.30 am, a little earlier, it would be ideal to have till 10am weekdays, since it's available till 11am on weekends. Croissants were constantly running out. Otherwise, fair variety of continental food, slightly limited hot food. We were able to leave our luggage with the hotel after checking out, very handy. Maps of the city are also available in various languages.

« Terrible experience »

So, we checked in after 30 hours of travelling, and there was a terrible smell of sewerage in the room. I complained and they said they knew what it was and would fix it. Came back hours later and the smell was worse, seriously worse. We had to wrap clothing around our face to walk in. Complained again and were given different rooms for that night. Next day, same thing. they kept promising it would be fixed, but it wasn't. The last time we complained they sprayed so much air freshner that I ended up having an asthma attack. The first one in 3 years. There was obviously a serious problem, but they seemed to just try and ignore it till the very end. This was not a vague smell but a gagging terrible one. They kept telling us to give it some time and it would clear. Rubbish !!! In the end we asked to be moved to another hotel as they had no spare rooms the same as we had booked. To their credit they did this and refunded us 100 Euro for the issue. A really bad start to our week in Paris.
