Overall accommodations were okeysh not impressive nor high quality but average, was very disappointed that I left a box of chocolate in my room that I bought for my baby girl and that no one from the hotel called me to ask if I wanted to pick them at reception before denaturing that day.

Good experience, but most foods for breakfast are cold or icy. After staying in the hotel for several days, at the end i got loose bowel, but the staff are quite warm-hearted and helpful.

This time around, my experience was not as WOW as during my previous stays with Novotel Kirchberg. The welcome was mediocre, housekeeping was mediocre initially (no welcome bottle of water on desk), after 5 days staying, I only received the welcome water on the desk. The housekeeping was also great from that day on... much more attention to detail than the previous 5 days' stay.

Extremely arrogant front desk who serves with a fake condescending smile. Decent breakfast service with attentive wait staff. This is a motel in the disguise of a hotel.Kids wanted to play table football. Front desk claims that the ball has been lost for a long time. Strange but we accepted it. Couple of hours later, another family was happily playing on it. Would not step in here again . expected better of a Novotel. Poor excuses for pillows.New sheets had hair on them. Refurbished bathroom was decent but that is about as good as it gets. Dont expect a glass in the room. Everything is using disposables .Bring your own water. We had a miserly 330ml bottle waiting for the 4 of us. Thank god Auchen is 2 tram stops away.

« nothing more than okey »

Odd how the bathroom floor was very cold. And the getting in and out of the bathtub was complicated withouth banging my knee in the toiletroll dispenser. The eggs for breakfast was obviously not actual eggs and not very good. Staff was pleasent though!

« Unpleasant stay »

I was put in the Candy Warhol room which I found highly unpleasant. The colours of the room made it very unrestful and the view of the hotel kitchen was unfortunate. The rooms were quite small, the food offerings limited. Would not return.

The hotel staff ate efficient and friendly, the rooms more than adequate. The only nrgative is the sparse room service menu, which seems to get smaller , with less and less options over the years.

« Everything in hotel as expected except for how to get a taxi in the morning »

Getting a taxi in the morning in this location seemed a sort of adventure, even when I had a taxi booked for 8:30 in the morning and being there ready, I had to find transportation on my own 20 minutes later. Hotel staff tried to be helpful but taxi drivers just arrive and randomly pick up people irrespective of any potential bookins.

« False executive room »

The executive room was such in size only. bAsed on the ground floor just behind teh lifts and opposite the entrance to the fitness facilities, it was cold, dark and noisy. I'd rather have a smaller room on an upper floor, than be relegated to the basement.

« Poor service, poor value for money »

Room had a toilet with the flushing mechanism missing. Had to be moved to another room. Noisy as opposite construction site. Reception cancelled my room key by accident before I could get my bags out. Checkout too a long time as receptionist did not know how to operate the system. Breakfast was not good. Glasses for mineral water far too small. Will not stay with you again. Unlikely ever to stay in a Novotel again
