Didn’t get room upgraded despite Gold status. Disappointing

Dear Mr O., Thank you very much for taking the time to pen down a few words of your experience in our hotel. However, we are deeply sorry if our room did not meet your expectation. Indeed, because of your Gold Club Accor status, we strive to upgrade you as soon as we have the opportunity. Unfortunately, your stay was during a busy period when the hotel was full. I invite you, for your next stay, to book a Privilège room, more spacious than the standard double room you have occupied. Room was too small, compared to my colleagues who whad a bigger room and bigger bed. Many days, when i left the Do not Disturb sign on the door, my room was still being made up.

Dear Mr T., Thank you for taking the time to write down a review regarding your stay in our hotel. We are sorry to read that your stay did not meet your expectations. The room that was booked for you was a single bed one and we did not have the availibility to provide you a room with a dabouble bed as they were all booked. Please be informed the "do not disturb" sign signify we can not enter in the room while you are inside in order to respect your privacy but it does not mean "do not enter". Indeed, our procedure implies to check each day the room for security reason. This process allow us to make sure all of our guest is alright. We also have to do it for sanitary and cleaning reason. and that is the reason why your room was made. We understand it can be surprising as from an hotel to another one, the delay to check the guest's safety can vary from each day to every three days. Be sure the privacy and the security of our guest is our main goal. That's why we took the decision to verify the safety of our guests each day due to past incidents. If one of our guests do not want a staff member to enter at all in the room, it has to be upon request but we do accept it. Once again, we all feel sorry your stay was not as we wished you to experience due to this event and we all hope to have the opportunity to welcome you in the future.
