« It was good »

It was good, could be a lot better by having the cleaners clean the rooms after 3pm as I work night shifts and I know a lot of other people that also work night shifts. The cleaners could be a little quite. I didn't receive big towels at all and the one time the cleaned my room the sheets was the same and I used those sheets for 4 nights.

« Compact room met needs but very warm due to lack of control on heating »

Room was adequate for one night stopover with two small dogs. Parking was very challenging in a SUV. Breakfast was good and central location excellent.

Disappointing room, small for price charged. Room refreshments coffee and tea are supplied with cardboard cups, again not what you would expect with cost of room! We stayed for 4 nights but wished we had not taken advantage of a no cancellation rate!

« It was ok considering the high cost. »

The hotel supplied an iron on request which I had to collect, but and a huge but they do not have an ironing board - crazy. I was unable to hang my suit trousers because none of the 4 hangars had the cross bar for trousers.

The staff on reception were very helpful and this criticism is not aimed at them!1. The car park was inaccessible to cars over 1.9m so we had to park in a public car park about 5 mins walk away and could have moved it to the street for free parking from 19:00 – 07:00 but that would have meant that we would have had to get up early to move the car. We left the car in the public car park and it cost €27.50 for the time we were there (about 27 hours). The inaccessible hotel car park was only €12/24 hours. This was an unexpected cost and inconvenience. 2. The room was very hot and the AC did not work, maybe because it is November, but the room was far too hot to sleep properly in and it was too noisy to open the window3. There were no tissues in the bathroom and not much toilet paper 4. There were limited places to hang towels to dry in the bathroom5. There was no handle to open the refrigerator – is was under a shelf and very hard to open6. There were only 3 coat hangers and none of them had a rail to hang trousers over (we needed to hang a suit up) and although we asked for a hanger and were told that they would put one in the room, it never arrived. Certainly would not stay there again even though it was very central

The room was very nice, beds comfortable but there was a shortage of paper cups, plastic cups and toilet rolls. I eventually asked for some more plastic cups as the first two in the bathroom were never replaced after use. If we had stayed any longer, I would have had to ask for toilet paper too.

« Staff fabulous...lovely breakfast..rooms too small »

Hotel in a lovely area close to palace. Lots of good places to eat. Lovely helpful reception staff. Breakfast staff excellent and attentive. We had 2 rooms on first floor. The first was far too small. The second was just about right as it was really for 3! The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and beautiful fresh fruit salad every day. The hotel needs a bar and a place to buy coffee. Easy walk from station. The lift was out of order for the end of our visit so I'm glad we were on the first floor. No working safe in rooms. Not really up to mercure standard yet.

« Four night stay at Mercure Versailles Chateau »

Rooms very clean and modern. A little smaller than usual, but comfortable. Not much wardrobe / storage space. Safe was locked when we arrived and despite informing reception, it was never unlocked so that we could make use of it. Perfect location - short walk to Chateau and all 3 train stations. Pleasant street with several lovely, independent restaurants.
