I was able to stay over the weekend after a burst water pipe damaged my other accommodation. The manager stayed late to allow me to check in and the staff were very welcoming and courteous.

The manager was rude and doesnt need to speak to customers like that. The shower was mouldy and dirty. The only good thing was the bed was incredibly comfortable.

All the staff I interacted with where amazing and extremely friendly and polite. English seemed very much a second language for the majority of the restaurant staff. This meant repeating myself at least once or more during conversations interacting with them. My room was great, very clean and well presented with a very comfortable bed. Love it and felt at home in it. The small split system A/C was very noisy inside and out and is way to small to recover the room from the afternoon sun if switched off during the day (top floor room faces the afternoon Kalgoorlie sun). The daily buffet breakfast was awesome everyday and think it was good value for the price. Having the restaurant is very convenient for breakfast, after working late or starting work in the evening. Menu choices are a little limited. The quaality of the meals in the restaurant was what I would describe as very average for the prices being charged. I had a meal that cost $50+. It was the nightly special, it was very special indeed. I received a very average and small piece if lasagne that tasted like a frozen supermarket meal. Chips where very nice and salad could of been dressed better. The desert of rhubarb crumble with custard and ice cream was very nice and well presented but not enough of it for price. I also had a small Sprite for my money. Another night I had a steak burger. Steak was nice but roll was soggy and I ended up eating it with a knife and fork leaving the bread. I believe this was a $20+ meal. Once again chips where very nice. The hotel is great compared to other places I have stayed in Kalgoolrie in comparison. Great location close to decent food thankfully which meant I had other options. Would stay there again but avoid the restaurant apart from breakfast.

« Dissapointing, I expected more and left dissatisfied. »

Not fantastic. The "queen" bed was actually two singles pushed together. The shower itself was an ok size but the bathroom was tiny. The reception upon checking in was not knowledgable and I felt lied to after I was told I'd get my Qantas points for staying at the hotel by signing up for your hotel loyalty program, only to be told by the receptionist after I'd signed up, that she didn't know how to get the points, that I'd have to ring the company and find out myself. The breakfast was ok but the one pre made coffee urn was a disappointment to many of the breakfast goers.
