« Mixed hotel ok ,dissapointed with certain issues »

To start the bed was shocking and really saggy,the tv it missed the titles and ques at the bottom of the screen to small very clean the room ,breakfast buffet not advertised scramble eggs /poached no show baked beans no show mushrooms no show potatoe cakes no show no grain bread only white ,and the coffee empty and we got there at 8.40 and the cook came out twice filled the bacon started switching the banmari about 9.20 not good considering closing at ten

Check in and out was easy & friendly. Room doesn't block a lot of noise from people in the hallway. Middle of the bed a bit lumpy. Parking right in front of hotel has good lighting. Room and bathroom was nice and clean. Complimentary bottle water nice touch.

Overall the hotel was great to stay in for the two nights I was there. The main thing I could pick on was that one lift was out of service and the other had a dodgy 'G' floor button which was a little frustrating. One other thing to note, purely from a reality check point of view. The continental breakfast was decent and well catered for but I was surprised at how meagre the cooked breakfast was considering the steep price. For the cost I would have expected at least a made to order something.

The Kalgoorlie Ibis is in a great location and staff were very friendly. The rooms / quality could use some work. Our shower was constantly dripping. Lighting was pretty poor but what I disliked the most was that our towels were that old that they honestly felt as rough / coarse as the bath mat. Overall I would stay here again but I think the quality could be massively improved with a few small changes

I wasn't aware that although we've paid for full breakfast, there wasn't any on weekends although we were able to order and on weekdays the full breakfast was there. Not too impress with the toilet rolls as we have to asked for extras being there for 3 days and also, I think the bath towels need changing to new ones, they're quite old.

Comfortable room that was clean and large enough. Continental Breakfast was included which was good but the upgrade to cooked breakfast was way too expensive for what you got.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The reception we received on arrival was not warm and welcoming. After checkin I had to ask how to get to the room. I I was then told where the lift was and told to take it to the third floor. Fortunately I checked before hand to see that our room was on the fourth floor. After a walk through town we returned to the hotel and decided to have a glass of whine and a coffee at the just opened bar. My glass of Pinot noir was off so I returned it. The attendant agreed it was off and opened a fresh bottle. Why didn't she check the wine before serving it? The skinny flat white ordered by my wife was inexplicably served in a tall narrow glass and was so badly made it was undrinkable. Over the next two days we were served far better coffee at roadhouses across the Nullabor. As soon as we were served our drinks the tv was turned on directly behind us at a very high volume on e commercial news. Considering we were the only two people in the bar this was obviously for the staff. The arrival of another staff member brought about a long and loud discussion between the two causing us to go and have a drink elsewhere. In contrast, Paul our host at breakfast in the morning was very welcoming and charming. Unfortunately the coffee in the restaurant was as bad as the night before. You have a very nice hotel that can be made much better by some staff training in customer awareness and coffee making. Staff need to realise their job is about the customer, not them. I had my own hospitality business for 20 years and am very aware that this attitude pervades the industry in WA.
