« Four night stay »

Efficient check in process, nice clean room and comfy bed but only one thin facecloth, noisy air conditioning unit and extremely bland room decor. How about some pictures or art work on rooms and in foyers? Two small swimming pools couldn't be used and the sauna was out of commission. Very slippery floor in the pool change room wouldn't pass health & safety regulations. Ladies shower cubicle needs a shelf attached so clothing doesn't get wet. Restaurant prices too high... so... if you'd like more custom, some things need attention please. Complex is looking tired in various areas

The stay wae okay except for the dinner. We arrived about 4:30 - 5:00pm and booked for dinner only to find that we couldn't get in until after 8:30pm. By the time we got to the restaurant, sea food bar was slim, no other meats cooking. Only Pork belly of which my husband has an allergy to. I was rather disaapoint with the restaurant.

This was our 3rd time staying at Novotel It was not good as it use to be. Lift only worked one. so we had to wait like 10mins to get down in the busy morning. Sauna was not working during our stay. (three days) Staff and breatfast not nice at all

« Quiet and comfortable in a great location. »

Great welcome at reception. The room looked over the trees at the back so very peaceful. Comfortable bed although the duvet was too warm do turned off the air conditioning. The TV did not work but a helpful young man put ne batteries in the remote. We would only give breakfast a 5 except for the lady who cooked a great omelet . Lovely young man farewelled us on reception with a jar of sweets.

I stayed at the Novotel for 5 nights in October this year. The rooms were lovely, the beds comfortable, and the locations fantastic. Right across the road from Eat Street, and walking distance to some great shops, restaurants and cafe's. Rotorua is an amazing location, and the Novotel will make your stay fantastic.

« Good quality hotel with good staff. Interiors getting a little dated. »

Had a good time. Restaurant has good food. And staff were good. Sometimes the front desk and phone line was a little understaffed. One person on front desk is not enough and I had to wait 30 mins to sort something out as the person on the desk was on a phone call.

We very much enjoyed our stay with Novotel. The room was spacious with lake view. Lower level bar with fire place was exquisitely inviting. Breakfast items were too many yet all were properly stationed and were well prepared. This was great to start our day of sight seeing!

Worst experience ever. Never staying here again It clearly said heated swimming pools but pool was dirty n cold. My kids were really dishearted. paid $393 cudnt even njoy the pool. Suna was closed upon checking found it's being closed for a long time. There was only 1 kids pack which was given to my brothers son upon checking in when I asked 1 for my daughter they said its finished ask upon checking out so when I did ask upon checking out was told kids pack is not made up yet. My daughter was again disheartened.

Arrived at hotel and proceeded to the concierge and completed the booking in ,unfortunately she did not mention the free drink vouchers . Upon entering our room I noticed that the room had rubbish in the bin and the floor was not vacuumed ,the hand towel and glass in the bathroom had been used. The reception staff were most helpful in changing our room to a corner room on the second floor ,which was most appreciated .

The hotel room was very run down. Was extremely disappointed with the hotel room. It was my birthday and my husband thought he would book a room for us and our two little girls , one a baby and one a toddler . The view of the lake was lovely . The toilet was very dirty , the staining in the toilet did not look like it had been clean . The edges in the bathroom were dirty . The. Bathtub has soap stains . The wood under the fridge needs to be replace . The pillows on the bed were leaking down feathers as well as the duvet and was extremely disappointed that the duvet did not have a proper cover on it and and the pillows do not have pillow protection covers under need the man pillow slip was ablsolutely disappointing. We had enough towels for my husband and I but not enough for our daughters to bath . We were also appalled to see when we went down to the pool area that their was a family in the the pool with their baby with no swim nappy on . This is very unhygienic and needs to be look into with family’s using the pool area . They have to put a swim nappy on to go to the town pools, there’s no difference. It meant that I did not want to put my two little girls into a pool with a child that had no nappy on . For hygiene reasons . When we went to leave in the morning we had to l wave early as our toddler ended up with are very high temperture had to get her back to Whakatane . I really hope that Novotel Rotorua up step their mark .

The staff were friendly and the soft toys for kids were a great hit, breakfast was good but the rooms were a let down - marks on the carpet, not full sky options, netting on curtain was broken, shower head is terrible, pillows were horrible.

Enjoyable. Good sized room, actually a lovely view over the fun fair and lake. Very clean, good bathroom.Well serviced. Very quick registration. Staff by the buffet and serving were all lovely. One lady on the last morning was particularly personal and interested.

« Unforgettable and enjoyable one night stay. »

Our family had an awesome time at Novotel Rotorual Lakeside. The room was great and really enjoyed the private mineral spa. The buffet deal for family of four was pretty reasonable. However, can do better job with the self serving juices. Novotel Hamilton is a good example. Overall, we love our stayed at the hotel and hopefully won't be long till we return again.

« Disappointing - as I reported last time we stayed, small things let you down »

As per our previous visit, arrived at our room, then the same trip back to reception because wrong room allocated. Rooms tired - look tired, no soap tray in shower, etc. Excellent restaurant and Spa, although we were unable to use it on our last morning notwithstanding our booking.
