Check in was incredibly disappointing. The young girl (and in fact all the younger staff overall) hardly cracked a smile, didn't welcome us, didn't offer any additional information on what to see/ do in Rotorua, didn't confirm breakfast was included and timings etc. Check in is the first impression, and it wasn't good. No welcome or loyalty thanks as a member with Accor. Other than that, room was clean, breakfast good.

The Novotel in Rotorua was a lovely hotel. Location was brilliant and facilities amazing. My kids didn’t overly enjoy the indoor pool. Would have preferred a larger outdoor pool. Buffet breakfast for continental was a bit expensive but very nice. Buffet dinner was very good as well. Rooms were lovely and view outstanding.

Reception is sparse. No internal advertising of facilities. Was there with about 25 mates (all on separate bookings) none of us used pool, bar or food. Maybe a missed opportunity for you.

Rooms appear to be tired, carpet dirty and sticky. Asked for not interconnecting and it was luckily not too much noise!

unfortunately we believe there need to be some monitoring of guests 1 there was a family in the pool fully clothed (Street clothes) no shoes 2 in the restaurant in the morning there were people in bare feet and some wearing hoodies

Silver Accor member not given comp drink or wifi. Check out terrible waited at least 20 minutes to get served only one receptionist on.

Overall was ok, BUT: Coffee through your restaurant was inconsistent, and quite poor - flavour was weak, and time to make a takeaway coffee was too long. I tried twice before going across the road to a cafe. My room ok, BED was VERY comfortable but the carpet was dirty and stained. I had a leak in my bathroom basin.

Worst ever experience in any hotel due to the incident with feces in the washing machines

The hotel was clean and tidy, however staff interaction was not overly memorable - there seemed to not be a lot of staff visible during my 4 day stay.

Great check in /check out.Good public space area, Mineral pools where great. Friendly staff overall an attentive.Great location handy to lake and shops and eat st, shops etc Slow wait for food at Bar -Tapas. Restaurant breakfast was good, coffee not great and breakfast dishes were not cleared quickly/at all over the mornings we dined. Rooms are good however a refurb in some areas would be good.
