Great check in /check out.Good public space area, Mineral pools where great. Friendly staff overall an attentive.Great location handy to lake and shops and eat st, shops etc Slow wait for food at Bar -Tapas. Restaurant breakfast was good, coffee not great and breakfast dishes were not cleared quickly/at all over the mornings we dined. Rooms are good however a refurb in some areas would be good.

No room service, thank you Jess for compensation, Carpet tread bare front entrance, Housekeeping tapping prior to check out time, wanting to clean room, Sleepwalker meal service a scam, Chef apparently not available on a Saturday night, And as for the debiting of credit card deposit...Just an appalling all round, Not sure I want want to recommend Novatel Rotorua. Oh and the breakfast room service appalling. Eggs overdone, sausages under done, no toast. do I need to to go on.

This was the worst experience with the Novotel and Ibis brands ever. It was very disappointing and we have stayed in at the hotel previously too.

We chose the location as it was close to the Lake and not too far to main shopping area and Isite. This worked well for us. The room had a town outlook, the beds were comfortable and housekeeping was efficient. Overall staff were welcoming and obliging.

Nice stay & check in with Grayson was great - by far your best customer services rep. At check in a hold was processed on my credit card for the cost of stay $1417.00 plus a $200.00 bond. When I attempted to check out Kaitlynn & Kura said they could not locate the number required to release my bond & process the correct transaction. After some delay I was told the problem would be sorted later & my receipt emailed the next day. Never happened - in fact 2 days later I noticed the Novotel had charged me twice $1417.00 & $1617.00. After repeated phone calls, being left on hold & no promised followup the overcharged money was then returned in 2 amounts - apparently this was the only way it could be rectified!! We are now 10 days post visit and I have just been charged again - so I have now paid for this stay at least 4 times & have had to start the frustrating & time wasting task of phoning the hotel & attempting to get this fiasco sorted. What's up Novotel? I have now spent more time trying to sort this than the three days I stayed in the hotel. Having just returned from 4 weeks travel in the USA staying at Le Accor member hotels it seems Novotel Rotorua lags some way behind its affiliates. I have now spent more time trying to sort this than time spent staying in your hotel.

It is situated in a great location and it is a very nice hotel however my bathroom extractor fan was not working and we had taken a video on my wife’s phone of the TV when it continued to cut out whilst trying to watch a movie. The room service was fantastic on the first night ! The burger was amazing as well as the soup of the day. The next evening when we returned to the room after our day out, the room had been made up but the old food left on the counter which was not a pleasant smell to walk into. I did let the reception know. The second night room service was really not that good at all. Half the dish was not as advertised on the menu. I am a travel agent and have sold a lot of your hotel and the overall experience was not that great to be honest.

good Location, friendly staff, clean room. Breakfast was fantastic. There is only one little thing about the shower head in my room didn't work very well, apart that, everything is good.

It was a great long weekend family getaway! We managed to relax and enjoy the ambience, comfort and services. However, the complete package would have been a day spa for massages, facials etc in the hotel.

The room was beautifully laid out. It was very warm and relaxing. So much so that I had a sleep while Lance relaxed and watched tv for an hour. The bed is so comfortable and the room lovely and clean. The staff at the counter were very helpful. Breakfast was awesome the next morning. Just what we needed after a night out. It was great fun all in all and a well needed break for us both.

Most of stay was great. Last night there the bar staff spent more time entertaining and providng food and drinks for their friends than being behind the bar.

I did really enjoy my stay at the Novotel Rotorua. My only comment is that I paid $400. + to stay for one night. We did hear a lot of noise from the hallway from younger children. Although I do not dislike children. Is it possible to perhaps book families with children on a certain floor or have a floor that is reserved for adults, so as to minimize the noise factor for other guests?

The total service was good. It was Very satisfy. The Dinner as Buffet was beautifull and breakfast was also wonderfull. I love the spa you have and the spa is one of reason I visit your hotel. I had beautifull experience from the Buffet for dinner, because of the price for a family. It is amazing price for us and enjoyed with the foods.

At the end of a week in the Bay of Plenty / South Waikato my wife and I stayed at the Novatel in Rotorua. We booked a complimentary room and was upgraded to a suite (room 541) unfortunately my wife cannot handle stairs well with two brand new knees and so your team sorted out another room for us and gave us extra drink vouchers - even though it was not your fault. The stay was epic with smorgasboard tea and $1 breakfast. We swam and never left the hotel. Thank you

great room only problem was the shower in the pool area. the floor is too sliprey, no wear to put your towel, and I slipped on the water coming out and was unable to get up without assistance. Please attend to this as someone may injury themselves seriously. We live in a retirement village and health and safety is very important as I have a health and safety officer in my position when I was working. Perhaps a non slip mat and a seat where one is able to dry themselves.
