Our stay was comfortable. The Junior Suite chairs definitely need replacing as the arms were threadbare. The lake view was from an angle at the end of the bed, otherwise you were looking straight into the rooms at the Ibis Hotel. Very off putting when pulling the curtains in the morning, while having a coffee in bed. Room very hot, even with airconditioning on lowest point. So was generally a little disappointed with the room, expected more from a Junior Suite. Lounge area in room needs brightening up. As a Gold Accor member in a suite, daily bottles of water would be nice. Lovely and close to Eat Street. The bed was lovely and comfortable.

I enjoyed the overall experience at the hotel, the rooms were neat, tidy and not dated. The facilities were very good, especially with kids. The staff were helpful and friendly. What was utterly disappointing was the breakfast in the hotel. My first day, there were no clean tables set up, I had to sit at a table with dirty dishes. The food was not topped up, the staff tried their best, but it was obvious they were heavily understaffed. Most importantly I was shocked to find out there was NO barista made decaf coffee. I did not bother coming back for breakfast for the remainder of my stay, I went to a cafe across the road.

My friend and I totally enjoyed our stay at Novotel this past weekend. Just what we needed to end the week. The front desk service was excellent! And, the maintenance guy went over and beyond. We ate at the restaurant both mornings and noticed the chef may need a bit of help when under pressure when the restaurant is at its busiest. Otherwise, we loved it!

I have been wrongly charged for my stay and despite emailing your customer services team 3 times I have had no answer or help in resolving my issue. Terrible customer service to a regular Novotel customer.

« A heavenly mini break for 3 nights »

The staff were lovely, warm welcoming and helpful. My view from my room was perfect. There was abit of confusion about breakfast in my room but that was sorted easily. I have Leaukemia so it was fantastic to have an early check in to rest before I met my family. I would love to take my grandson there for a little holiday.

« A weekend of HANGER »

Our trip was a romantic couple weekend away, upon check in We weren’t advised of the multiple groups/events on at the hotel, we found out the place had these on as we went down for dinner to find the masses.. so when we went for dinner we were asked to either eat elsewhere from the hotel or come back in 2hrs. We confirmed we definitely want to take advantage of the wonderful buffet dinner and asked if they could call our room if a table came available earlier, we heard nothing, went down half an hr earlier anyway to find plenty of tables available yet no one contacted us. We then asked to book a breakfast table, they said NO because apparently they don’t usually take bookings for breakfast, it’s not necessary etc. we insisted on booking a table anyway to avoid going hungry again with how busy the hotel was and sure enough when we went down for breakfast, they were completely full up and sending people away again so it was just LUCKY we booked.. being an Accor member we choose to dine in at the hotels so found this QUITE disappointing. Other than being HANGRY for majority of the stay, rooms were clean, pool are is nice and the bed was comfortable.

« Great location, nice room but hotel lacked a bit of maintenance. »

Check in was great and the room was very nice and clean with everything we needed. We went for the hot pools and Sauna on second day only to find the sauna nailed shut which was a disappointment. The second day we used the hot pools the spa was luke warm. Then the price that was confirmed on booking.com was not the price we were charged on checkout although the staff did correct that. Location was exceptional we wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else location wise. Also the cleaning staff were still working at 4pm on Saturday and seemed unhappy about that - they also said they were waiting on fresh clean towels. We were heading out so wasn't a problem for us but seemed a little awkward.

check in was at 2pm we arrived from a tournament it was a rainy cold day and when we arrived at 4:30pm we had to wait for our room to be cleaned . We did say it wasn’t good enough and they said cause 100 people had just checked out while 100 people were checking in This was an excuse , I know that business like the Novotel should be able to cope with lots of people checking in and out . He did apologise but just thought it would be ready . Then it wasn’t ready till just before 5pm
